I have a large family and corn on the cob is so easy in my Instant Pot! 7 minutes cook time, 10 minute cool down and then a rapid release. Perfect corn on the cob every time. Really great for cookouts.

Here's one, Mexican or Spanish red beans and rice. I tried it and got that dreaded message on the screen. The water level was 2 inches above the rice all the way to bottom of pot. So I had more than enough water
Yeah I'm going to buy a 8-quart instant pot but do you know a book we got a lot of pictures but not a lot of reading but settings tells you at what to put it on all that because I like to do ham hocks and all kinds of stuff please let me know if you have a link or you know somebody sell something like that with everything and then you're able to cook thank you and with not a lot of reading have a good day

I use my Instant Pot for most everything. Along with my Instant air fryer. Godsends for a 73 year old guy who doesn't want to live on bologna sandwiches!
I always make oatmeal in the microwave and it never boils over. Use a bigger/deeper bowl. I use a steamer both for hard boiled eggs and broccoli. Instant Pot is great for rice, and for yogurt!
I have a 6 qt and a 3 qt Instant pot. I can hard boil eggs like a dream in my 6 qt using the 6,6,6 method, but every time I try it in my 3 qt the eggs burst open during cooking. Does any one know why that happens?

The only safety measure is to make sure you have a cup of liquid in. It won't work if the lid isn't on right, or if the sealing knob isn't in the right spot. It can't open until pressure is released.

Agree! But i would add risotto. No babysitting a sauce pan to stir constantly. And it comes out perfect!
