  • This is a more modern version of my own boat, so not only a boat I like very much, but also interesting to spot the differences and upgrades.

      Agreed - just found your channel, and found your tour / costing of your boat brilliant and the only one i have found on youtube. There are loads of US videos, or real bargain videos on boating (ribs etc) but little on this size!

      just to agree with the comment above and those replies below. Mega-million pound floating hotels of little interest to me, but family cruisers: yes please. Currently binge-watching your smaller boat reviews and replaying that costing video multiple times.

    This is definitely a boat I can see myself owning a few years down the line. It's small and handy enough to use as a day boat, fast enough to cover some miles in a hurry should the fancy take you, and got enough amenities for a small family to go away for the weekend or even a week or two. Very nice blend of practicality and design too! :)

Having never really had an appreciation for boats I found it fascinating when I first stumbled on your content and now I can’t get enough! The engineering, interior design and ingenious use of space on most boats is fantastic and a joy to watch. I look forward to many more videos when normality resumes and keep up the great work! It's kind of funny how little things can make so much difference in something. Like built in shades and fly screens, easier access to something like the engine. A lot of that stuff is powered now days but i kind of like the manual versions. Don't have to worry about motors going bad. Good vid .

    Personally, I’m not convinced about petrol for boats - but other than that I do like this one.
    I’m going to struggle making the decision between this and a Sunseeker 131 when I finally win the lottery... 😉

    • @RonLarhz
      @RonLarhz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can mode it into dual type solar and gas/petrol. Seems like there's enough room for a solar battery/generator +engine...

    • @FoDaddy

      For a boat this size gasoline engines are fine. Even for considerably larger boat they would be okay. My uncle had a 55 or 56 ft (~17 meter) boat at one point initially his had a pair of 7.4L gasoline/petrol engines. He and my aunt went up and down the intercoastal waterway thee times with the petrol engines. After about a decade of ownership, when he was having the boat refitted, he had the petrol engines replaced with Cat diesels. Wasn't cheap, but it did save on fuel costs, I don't know if he ever broke even or not before he sold the boat. Of course this is in the U.S. were petrol prices are reasonable.

    • @garethchild
      @garethchild 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      FoDaddy I’ve owned 45 & 57 ft boats, and just find diesel so much easier - and far less hazardous, especially with older boats. In my smaller boat, the engine was underneath a cabin...

    • @garethchild
      @garethchild 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      RonLarhz I would be all over a solar powered boat. They need more efficient cells than are commercially available right now, though.

    Cracking day boat for a run out with the family or friends, or maybe both.
    The only drawback for me is the petrol engine, my first boat had one and it absolutely drank fuel even at low speeds, it was diesel after that!

    I think this highlights the absolute value you can get in the second hand market . This is a nice boat but if it was my money i would take your one every day of the week ,cheaper to run under half the price wont depreciate as much and more reliable ,obviously this is much more modern craft but inevitably it will do exactly the same job when at sea . great vids ty.

    Nice job Nick. Gasoline (petrol in UK) is far more prevalent that diesel in Canada/ USA unless it is much larger transportation like transport trucks, larger motor homes/RV’s, or bigger boats. Very few cars unless imports from UK/Europe are diesel especially after the Volkswagen fiasco & they are mostly gasoline now. Although we saw multigrade diesel at most stations in Europe over here only one grade & many stations only carry multi grade gasoline. Many small marinas on fresh water lakes are gasoline only & mainly those on saltwater marinas would supply both.

    i was quite surprised to see another cabin there , i thought it was only going to be a two berth , but it did look abit clostraphobic in that second cabin . nice review though . for that size boat ,with ie:- moorings , tolls ect , how much would it all cost for the year ? could you do a video on all the expenses for a boat for us ? .

    It’s really interesting how much of the interior is similar to modern caravans

    Great tour of a “bit more modern” boat 😁 I’m guessing you wouldn’t spennd the money to change and save it for a 40’ princess?!

    Very nice. Like it. Think I like the wood trim in yours better. Bit 'classier' I think.

    These are a great little boat, really wet appointed. Easy to drive and relatively roomy. If you can buy a diesel its a good buy for the money.

    Love to see something affordable but it reminds me of my one and only time on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. I enjoyed it but the table that makes up the bed kept slipping down thus giving me a rude awakening and the toilet was far too small; I'm 6ft and I couldn't shut the door whilst sitting on the bog and the shower? That was a pretty awkward experience, far too small to have a proper shower.

    Fantastic review, as always. Any chance of a review of some of this boat's competitors? Thinking of stuff like a Sealine S28/S29, smaller Targas, Bavaria 29 Sport etc.

    Can you get your hands on an SC-46 by Outerlimits? That boat is pure Aquaholic material mate.
