@@taterkaze9428 In the 90s NATO and Moscow made a deal that it would lift the Berlin wall in exchange for NATO not trying to make use of the weakened Soviet Union, by expanding NATO into former USSR states. Moscow kept to the agreement but after the fall NATO expanded into the baltics, Poland, Romania and tried to do the same with Georgia and Ukraine. In that perspective the wars in Georgia and Ukraine make a lot more sense.

Crimea was invaded in 1783 and annexed from Ottoman Empire by Russia.
That's 230 years BEFORE Putin.
This is a great opportunity for Russia to have their own domestic cheese manufacturer and I believe russian cheese can be also made with high quality as other countries.
As if Russia didn't had domestic cheese manufacturing before. The problem is the attitude of the generalized Russian consumer since the late 70es: "whatever made in Russia is crap, anything imported is good (even if it is a bigger crap)". A lot of the Russian producers started off in 90es and 2000es has "foreign" names and were inventing bogus stories to hide their Russian origin just to sell something on the Russian market. No sales due to past reputation, no money to improve, losing competition to even more imports. Luckily, this trend and attitude were somewhat reversed in the past decade. Somewhat.

2) Ukraine was neutral country and wanted to be neutral before Russian aggression. But after Russian occupation of Crimea and Donbas, Ukraine don't have any chances to survive without being a NATO member.

I used to have a neutral stance when Russia annexed Crimea. But after seeing the awful things that Ukraine did in 2015, and the fact that now Ukraine is the main breeding ground of Neo-Nazis, I now proudly say that Ukraine deserve to have Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk be taken from them by Russia.
I still don't like Putin, though, but in this case, I side with Russia.

A lot of the Russian companies, especially in the agriculture, were asking to bann imports to clear up domestic market for decade prior the West did it itself and gave Russia a perfect excuse to bann even more. This embargo was like the stupidest and least calculated response from the West.
