Good job Brady! Keep at it! I am impressed with your father, of all the firewood you tube channels I watch (i am retired), your father keeps his wood yard tidy and organized. Well done!
Hi folks! Nice job on the new work chip venture! Looks like you’re getting it dialled in good there ! Nice amount of log inventory showing up in the woodyard! Love seeing the saws in action! Gonna be some good splitting for the Eastonmade! Thanks for having us over Brad! Cheers and take care! Andrew from NB, Canada :)
Glad to see Brady doing good on his chipper and you as well Andrew would be hats off to you and good seeing your buddy can use that conveyor best to you and your family and everyone out there be safe
I think it is awesome how you get your kids involved!! One helps with the bundles and now Brady ventures into the smoker chips/fire starters. Not sure you sell kindling already, but that would be another avenue to your well rounded product list!
Hello from Scotland U.K. I have chipped up whisky barrel staves to use in bbq smoking, it’s fantastic. Hot smoked salmon 🤤 Keep up the good work gents 👍
I watched this yesterday, I know a bit behind but hey, I have a similar chipper and never thought of the "screen" that's awesome that it was mentioned and you are getting good smoker chips
I know you are enjoying having Brady in the wood yard with you . I know he will do well with the fire starter and smoker chips . Hello to Jack . Nice bucking session !!!!
Good to see that Brady has that chipper figured out for making his smoking chips. Your a hell of a man Brad to pay it forward like that!! Great job on the carnage in the woodyard. Stay safe my friend
It's great that Brady is learning that life is work. Doesn't matter where you're at, if it's school, home, sports or in the woodyard. The more you put in the more rewards you'll get out of life. Great job 👏 Brady
If you could find a sheet of plexiglass or make a frame with plastic to put over the top of the cart. It would make it warmer and dry the chips faster, leaving the back open would give moisture somewhere to go. Good job using up all the material.
Nice vid Brad. Great to see you paying it forward. Good life lessions being taught with Brady. Enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work. Nebraska WoodSTR
Just subscribed to the channel from East Tennessee. Been watching a while! Great to see your son and his entrepreneur ambitions. Great way to get him out into the Woodyard with you. Great content 🤘🏻 Brandon
Great to see you guy’s working together. Nice job with the trial and error to perfect the chips. I don’t know if you sort all the fines out Brady if you can charge more of a premium? Removing the fines may allow the chips to dry faster. You may be able to get some hardware cloth or large metal screen that you can make a sieve to sort the fines out of if you’re worried about them being in the final product. Just my two cents. Great job guys and good luck in your next game Brady.
Great video!! Good thing to find that grate on the chipper and great idea for to be careful with the chipper and letying it tell you what it can take. Also that maple and oak look great!!!!
Heavier-duty chippers will make different sized chips, with some models having different sized screens to make different sized mulch or chips. The big chippers from the rental store make perfect sized chips but is severe overkill in expensive. Something like the tractor pto chipper that Ohio Wood Burner uses would be perfect for smoker chips. Take time perfecting your drying and packaging process while making a smart decision on a machine better suited to your needs and budget. Hopefully the small chipper/shredder works out. Don't forget that the blade on it needs sharpening from time to time and the hammers on the leaf/mulching side need inspection for damage and wear.
Brady , you can put me on the list for some fire starters when you get them ready . Brad it’s good to see your getting some wood piled up to split. It’s that time of year to get the empty racks filled back up.
Hope Brady business take off for him . Brad like your bar in the wood got about 3 hrs cutting time . Need get ironhorse build you a working saw 90 cc plus to keep up with EASTONMADE gears . 😊
Have heard several stories on Ironhorse using cheap aftermarket cylinders at times, keeping the OEM one from the saws he sells. Best to investigate to be sure. Gary Buxton or Charles Brisco do great work, haven't heard anything bad about their work.
Great job Brady….!!! If the wood chip idea for smoking doesn’t take off, he can revert back to firestarter candles like OG FIREWOOD does, in his video #43. (That’s my next endeavor with the sawdust I create…)
I wish I could find a splitter I could afford with a log lift. I am 70 and broke my back last fall. I have friends that have cut up 21 huge hickory trees for me, that went down in an ice storm last spring. They are ..22 in. to 40 in. at the base and are huge. I have hundreds of rounds laying all over my woods but no way to get them to the splitter or on the splitter.
Hello Mr. Brad, and here I figured you would never have the chance to use that ''little'' saw again, good to see you run that one too, I do the same, use the right saw for the the right wood, not everything needs to be cut with a big saw, I like my Stihl 170 for little stuff, Brady is on the right track, removing the plate lets the chips fall out faster rather than be mulled to a dust. maybe a sifter to sort out the dust from the chips, it would be an extra step but would improve the quality , looks cleaner in the bag, save the dust to make fire starters, as we know people buy with the eyes, stay focused and give folks what they need, you will succeed. Best of Luck .
I know you commented on the hickory before but could you show it splitting. Trying to figure out if it's worth spending the money. There's more hickory and oak where we cut and split. Thanks
your a tough guy, i would of imagined with your size of operation, you'd have one of those big tables with a chain saw...not by hand...btw, how you keep your blades cutting like butter? i would of been sharpening after a few oak logs, just my luck...interesting..well done...
Great job on cutting fire wood Brady Great job on using the chipper
Good job Brady! Keep at it! I am impressed with your father, of all the firewood you tube channels I watch (i am retired), your father keeps his wood yard tidy and organized. Well done!
I appreciate that!

Your 500 really eats.
The little boss can take some of the cookies, bust them up, sell them as smoking chunks. Fist full size.

OEM UP here in the north for 58mm and cylinder over $800 Canadian.
Maybe make a screed with say 1/2” screen ti get rid of the smaller chips and dust.
Can't wait to be able to buy some smoker chips 🇺🇸🥃...... Keep up the great work buddy 👍🏽
Thanks 👍
Awesome job Can’t stress enough about safety being first priority Important hand eye and hearing protection being taught early 😊😊
Great job Brady….!!!

A log lift is definitely useful for rounds that size. Hoping your back is healing

Yes I’ll have some hickory splitting footage coming in the next couple weeks

I still see my operation as fairly small but growing. I sharpen my chains with the Stihl 2n1 sharpener. It works great and I’ve tried everything lol
Do you have any dry/ready to burn firewood left that you can sell right now?
Yes there is some ash and cherry here that’s ready but gonna use it for bundles through the spring and summer
Nothing like a little monetary motivation. Looks like smoker chips to me. Heya Jack!
to many jacks in your world. lol
Joe from Ohio wood burner put out a video about how he does his smoker chips have Brady do the research
👍🪓
