    Swapna Liddle is a historian with a special interest in Delhi. As a scholar, she has studied the development of Delhi as an imperial capital city, particularly under Mughal and British rule. She is the author of 'The Broken Script : Delhi Under The East India Company And The Fall of The Mughal Dynasty, 1803-1857'.

    Good 👍 lecture ,Swapna Ma'am, Urdu was the lingua Franca of the North India from 18th century onwards, major township like Delhi,Awadh,Benaras produce and publish knowledgeable books in Urdu and court language till the time was Persian.
