Brian, a couple of changes since you filmed. New wake word for non screen echos, Ziggy. You can now give Alexa a male voice. Have no idea why you would want to do that.
Hi Brian, could you elaborate on the "local voice control." How is this related to devices connected through Echo 4th's zigbee hub? I have ThirdReality Switches running off ThirdReality zigbee hubs - would there be an advantage to moving them over either to the Echo's internal zigbee hub or my Eero Mesh's internal zigbee hub; and if so, exactly how would I make that switchover within Alexa?
Well you'd have to check compatibility first off for those ThirdReality devices. Then, I think there would...but you would just unpair from the Thirdreality hub and then pair direct to the Alexa hub.

I've actually been able to sign up in whatever country I want, even with it based in the US. Scariest thing is that I can sign up in both the US and Canada on separate charges on the same account 🤣🤣
@@TechYourLife1 yeah because i signed up on Amazon Germany last Prime day and it's also a different charge 😅, but aside from sidewalk i think there's a bunch of stuffs only available in US at the moment so i'm thinking of trying stuffs. thanks.

great job Brian! New subscriber great video. I was looking to move over to HomeKit but stopped.. i am a apple user but HomeKit fell short with a simple routine. Can not set an action when alarm is dismissed? Go figure I stopped with there and and continued with Alexa. I am using Brilliant control and smart switches! they work great. Now the control is on the expensive side but the switches are reasonable priced and have motion sensors built in. Also Alexa voice is built into the control.. how cool is that? Do you know if there is a place for suggestions on Alexa enhancements. example I would like to be able to set a sensor to go off at night only. I know you can set between certain hours but the night time changes throughout the year.
Hey thanks! Yeahhh! So there is an Alexa users forum...I see it every once in a while but don't use it myself. :) www.amazonforum.com/s/ Anyways, use the sunset and sunrise times! Then add in a modifier for the time after sunset or the time before sunrise...etc... When you pick those you'll get a chance to modify the exact time. That moves it nicely throughout your evenings!

You just put the same Amazon account in to both the echo show and the Alexa app
