That without question is the most knowledge I’ve heard from a Harley mechanic. He’s worth whatever he cost you!

Great video Ken. Just got my 2006 fxstsi back from mike Witt at WAR performance in Illinois...
Standard screaming eagle 95” flat top pistons
    Stock ignition
Stock heads except .050 decked off fro 10-1 compression/with compression releases.
    Screaming eagle push rods
    Bassani 2-1 pipe
    Andrews tw54 cam
90 ft pds of torque at 1700 to 4300... peak torque 99.8
    Hp 90
Very similar to yours.... runs extremely well, lots of torque and great torque band.
This is my second build on this bike, the first build was a screaming eagle 95 inch big bore kit with Vance and Hines side shot pipes ...stock heads totally. That bike build put out 95 foot pounds of torque starting at 1600 with 90 peaking at 95 ft pds 4200 rpm. 203 cam
I just finished another 95” 2003 twin cam which has ported headed and a 203 cam but will be carbureted.... will use the thunder header and Dyna ignition like yours... hopefully get it fired up in a month or so. Will be using cv carb as well with velocity stack.
    God bless America....

You’d have more to and hp if you didn’t have a twin cam b motor

My dad died in 2020 in a dirtbike accident and i have all his bikes now.One of them is a 2001 fxdxt which he has done a ton of work on,not 100% sure what he has done to the engine but it goes and handles a shitload better then when i rode it over 10 years ago and he did a 12.3 1/4 mile when we went drag racing in 2018

Why doesn't he hookup the air/fuel sniffer on the dyno? I noticed the same on your CVO Dyna when he ran that too. I have no doubts in George's abilities, just curious why he isn't using the air/fuel meter on the dyno.

Also wondered if that little dip that he said was clutch slip could be mistaken for a slight wheel spin on the drum since the swing arm isn't strapped down tight?

I'm curious about the AFR reading on your monitor. Was I seeing that correctly 16:1? That's a lean condition. You're saying you smell fuel? Is the monitor not accurate?

Personally I’d prefer a different cam set up to have a more flat torque curve even if it’s 5-8 even 10 ft lbs less. Having close to peak torque all the way through is more important to me personally than having a high peak number that falls off from 4,000-5,500 and has such a hard climb on the bottom. I’d much rather have a 95-100 ft lbs build with a little climb at the bottom but then Holds torque all the way to 5,000 before it falls off. And that’s entirely possible. Just requires a different set up. If I had to guess. A 95 with 11:1. Either the cams, the stock ports and valves sizes or a combination of both are to blame. Either a different cam would run even better with those cylinders, pistons and heads or the heads need to be ported because they’re choking on the top end. But with the clim down low and the dive up top my guess is it’s the cams. And a little more compression than I personally would like. A different cam like an andrews 26 or 37 with compression set at somewhere between 9.8 and 10.5:1 would probably still pull like a freight train from bottom to top. Probably a 90-95hp and 95-100 ft depending on how it all came together. But still very good video. Great bike and great set up. A ton of good knowledge. Knowledge I payed a lot of money and spent quite a while to learn (I went to the motorcyle circus school. If you’ve done it you get it. If you didn’t don’t worry about it) I’d be interested to see what it does with a little different set up on the motor though

@KaplanCyclesNewEngland @HorsepowerMan what would be a rough estimate to do this exact same thing to the drivetrain of a 2002 fxdx if I already have the thunderheader?

If you can you need to take a trip out west. Born free 11 is coming up. Talk about dynas galore. I would just run a Aim pressure plate. .
