So I would just advise anyone against buying anything from Xiaomi, because that's just ridiculous. But the hardware of this phone looks amazing. And thank for the review, Chris.

Was looking forward to this. Photos looked great. Not having the power brick here locally too, and they sell it for around 50usd. Contemplating between this, and a used S23Ultra. Since I can get a 256gb of brand new 14T Pro at the same price of a used S23 Ultra locally here in PH.
I was going to get the One Plus 12 but it is not fully water proof. It also has no infrared so it is not the complete phone but a good phone. I will probably continue with Samsung and get the S24 plus 256GB
@@gantswoodat this age and time, why would you still use infrared for? To transfer ringtone? I feel its not a dealbreaker at all if a phone ticks all the right boxes but no infrared. Modern electronics can be controlled by smart switches that can even be connected to your phone
@thetravelbaker I would like to remote control TVs like when I am at the dentist, restaurant or when out and about. There is no app for that hence me wanting infrared.
Great comparison, any chance you would make a midrange smartphone comparison before black friday? I would like to upgrade my Realme X2 that I bought almost 5 years ago (January 2020) which is still working good, but not smooth! Some models I'm looking at are: Realme GT 6 and GT 6T, Onplus Nord 4 and Xiaomi 14 T , I will add the 14 T Pro now! lol
sadly the phone doesnt look like 800 bucks, mostly because of the matte metal plate glued ontop of the back glass housing the camera modules. This is a design aspect mostly seen in 300 dollar phones. They have to differentiate it from the flagships.
Exactly that's why the Galaxy S24 Plus looks very similar to Galaxy A55?! Our only option right now is to get an iPhone 16 Pro Max since it is the only flagship design of iPhone and no copycats from midrange to budget devices ohhh wait there's Itel and Tecno that looks the same with the iPhone 16 design 😢 What phone should we buy right now?
Honestly I don't care about colour or looks because I'm slapping a back cover on it anyway. Let the cost be cut wherever they can. I prefer an affordable ugly phone over costly glamorous phone
@@badbad-catI can't find the price cutting being reflected in the end user price. They only cut costs for themselves. No company atm cuts costs in order to sell cheaper products. It's only for more profit.

Thanks for review. I've been researching this recent release and previous releases all the way down to 9T Pro. As other's stated pricing is usually the deciding factor as they don't go on sale like US models. I was interested because I had a 8T Pro and loved the pop-up camera :D I've stayed away since then because that's when they started injecting ads everywhere. I don't know how the bloadware, ads and extreme app killing is nowadays but I can only imagine they got much worse?
Thank you for your videos, I honestly appreciate them! Now, does it got metal back? Where did you buy/get the phone from? I can't find anyone in Asia who is selling 14T Pro right now, but the model is out for sale here in Sweden. Keep up the good work, sir.
Where i live they had a promotion till 31st October that would get u the charger and earbuds with your purchase. Also i feel like it's somewhat fair for them to remove the charger because of how good this phone is, cutting out on the charger can help cut costs and instead focus it on building a better phone, like sure a charger would be nice but the fact that we have a midranger that can compete and punch with the big leagues is insane

I currently have the vanilla 13T. Do you think it's now worth updating to the Xiaomi 14 or get the 14T instead? What matters are slightly better everything from general photos, videos (HDR, accuracy, low light, stabilisation, etc ) and battery life.
I'm going to buy the Redmi K70 Ultra for $419. Same as the Xiaomi 14T but cheaper. I bought the Poco X6 Pro 12gig 512gig for $344. From Amazon 1 day Delivery. 2-29-24. To replace my Poco X3 GT had it for over 2 years. I live in Chicago USA by the Lake on the Gold Coast. No problems with 5g or anything else. Redmi k 70 Ultra is a Flagship Killer for the Money 💰. The new Vivo Z9 Turbo+ is $369. I don't know if it will work in the USA.
i absolutely hate Apple for normalising the "no charger supplied" trend. Absolutely scummy move and won't ever support any company that follows that trend.
I have been scared off from Xiaomi phones - in 2018 and 2019 I bought Xiaomi Mi Max 3 phones. I loved them so much that I bought 3 of them. They were featured on this channel. They were very large phones, about 7". All of a sardine, in 2020 an update wiped all phones of all their Google apps. (They were Chinese Rom) Well, an Android phone without Google play store and Google apps is totally useless. So I have vowed never to buy another Xiaomi product again
The Mi Max series was great, I really wish they would bring those back. Love the Max 2. I still have my Mi Max and it works fine! Oh the updated wide the data that is not good, typical Xiaomi software can be bad.
The Mi Max 3 is one of my all time favourite phones. Mine was a Global version, and it died a natural death. For a long time I had hoped that they would one day put out a current version of it, but alas, as far as I know they never updated it, or at least not globally.
I don't know how this companies expects us to get charging bricks that will match these phones. A 120 watts charger is not that easily accessible and will be very costly. Secondly to get reputable ones is a mess, why are they doing this. I sticked with Xiaomi because they kept the charger in the box now they are doing the same thing that's going to chase us away.
It's really good that xiaomi still offers competitive (hardware and performance wise) and affordable (almost) flasgship devices that are on the same level with double the price flagships from other OEMs! But, if their software it is still riddled with bugs (especially the small ones) and the every day user experience is still compromised, as usual for xiaomi devices, then it doesn't matter. If I have to acquire a smartphone, I will go down the ebay road and buy an older used flagship from Samsung or Apple. I will not buy a new Xiaomi device no matter what!
Xiaomi and their subbrands are quite a mixed bag in 2024, from a Xiaomi user since 2014. Like they kinda finally nailed the software (I mean at least it's not like a hot garbage like later MIUI or early HyperOS) but they compromised so much on hardware, surprisingly. I mean, first, the back is screaming $200 phone. While the back panel is exceptable, that camera modules' housing is so damn ugly. I mean last year Redmi Note is looking way better. And I mean if they could make the Poco F6 Pro (Redmi K70 rebranded) or even Poco X6 Pro (K70e, the cheapest one of last year K-series) looks that good then I can't understand why this one is way uglier. Second, the absent of charger is very unexceptable, especially when Xiaomi is using their own proprietary charging technology. I mean they did away with this back in Mi13T/13T Pro in my country (Thailand) and did kinda dirty by putting the charger back as a "pre-order benefits" along with some promotional kits. It costs around $100 here for that 120W charger. And when I say "proprietary" I mean they didn't even supported the 65W PD charging. Some mentioned this on reddit on previous models but I'm not 100% sure if they changed that in 14T series. Overall, a solid phone. But that absent of charger is quite disappointing. I mean for something like sub $300, it's fine as most of them supported only like 67W charging and probably fine with other aftermarkets at slightly lower power. But for a freaking $800 phone and proprietary charging technology, that's unacceptable.
Agreed with them being very mixed. And yes HyperOS is finally there too them a long time! MIUI was garbage I use to rant about how bad it was if you watched me a few years back. The back is screaming budget redmi phone 100% Not a good start but in person the feel of it is good. I think it looks fine but yes cheap! The price I thought was going to be 599 euros but boy I was sooooo wrong!
the 13T pro looks far better, welp i did a good decision switching from xiaomi to OnePlus, i got the Oneplus 12 and can't be happier the best phone i ve ever had (previously S24U, Mi 14U) if u feel betrayed by xiaomi just switch to oneplus u won't regret
I agree with you 100%! It looks like a really cheap entry level phone. Also having the flash mounted like a camera just to fool people into thinking there are 4 cameras in the back is such a lame decision...
the question is this. Once all cameras have the same output for picture and video quality what will apple have left to stand out for?? the battery life is about average, screens are made by samsung. they use the same build materials. if their cameras are just the same then the only thing left to stand out on is the processor speed and design! and they haven't changed the design for what like 5 years now?
Battery life is impressive on the Xiaomi 14T Pro! With the efficient Dimensity 9300+, I can easily get through a full day of heavy use without recharging!
I would love for you tech (smart phone) reviewers to also mention the supported charging speed of PD (Power Delivery) which is a standard. Almost no reviewers ever mention it. I have a fast PD charger to support laptop charging and phone charging, but would love to know how fast the phone charges using Power Delivery. I hope you will include it in your future reviews. 👍
It goes neck in neck with the Vivo X100 Ultra in low light shots!! That is crazy.. because Vivo uses a 1" camera sensor, a bigger sensor than 14T pro but at some scenes it manage to be better than Vivo. To do that without using a 1" sensor is crazy. There are no other phones on this planet that could beat Vivo when it comes to low light shots but this 14T Pro is a beast.. Its not an overall better camera than Vivo but it can match with Vivo quality in some areas.
Because i see a lot of comments about the charger.. It's a mandatory law from Europe that phones don't have chargers anymore. If they wanted to take your money from the chargers they would have done it a long time ago like the others
What was the temperature in your room and did you use the AC or just a regular fan when you did the 3D Mark test? The score and stability of a phone really differs depending on the condition.
I have been using Xiaomi phones for the last 5 years and I really like the performance per dollar ratio but things I don't like is the bloatware and ads in the UI its so annoying but you do get over it after a few months of use. I like the apple ecosystem so if they can make a better iPhone SE next year and have a cheaper M4 Mac I might make the switch. Thanks for the review as always love you videos.
I think a 120W charger would have increased the price by maybe $70. Also it's fair to assume people already have 120W chargers for their laptops. But it's crazy that the most powerful mobile processor right now comes from MTK
I've got a redmi Pro. Had it about 3 months. Absolutely fantastic phone for the money. Better than the Samsung.i phone.and apple..try these before you waste your money on expenses ones..
I'm trying to understand but, I really can't understand how this Xiaomi 14T Pro at 800€ (except maybe the fact that its screen is flat) is a better deal than a OnePlus 12 or an Honor Magic 6 Pro in Europe, or an iQoo 12, Vivo X100, OnePlus 12 or even a Xiaomi 14 Pro in Asia 🤔
Best deal would be the OP12 great phone. So I went into this review not knowing the final price (We never do) and I thought it would be 599. I got it horribly wrong.
Not including the charger is due to eu regulation not a decision from Xiaomi itself. In spain we can get the 14t and pro version with the charger and a tv as gifts for 649 (512gb version)
i have a xiaomi 14pro since last november and i love it. better than samsung s23 s24 s25 ultra or iphone 15 16 pro max and comes with all the good gifts like the 120w charger and bluetooth earbuds and all this for less than 700 euro. This 14Tpro seems like a low budget version of the 14 pro but its really funny after half the functions taken and lowered still compete with the samsung and apple best phones lmao. What a shame for those expensive phones.
No 4k 60 fps on the front camera is a bummer! And no charger in the box? I thought that Xiaomi was better than this. It's not like it's a PD charger either as Xiaomi has a proprietary charger. Also, for a €799 phone, the design looks really insipid if not ugly.
I've already bought 14t pro, no more issue for pwm headache for me, because of high pwm refresh of 3840, i have a iphone 15 pro, i have an headache on it
The only thing i find regrettable from Chinese phones is the lack of continuity in the design department. They just try everything and don't even care if any of it sticks. Oppo had phones with ring LED around the back camera, gave it a name for marketing boast, then just dropped it the next iteration like it never happened.
I remember Xiaomi claiming that ads in ui and bloatware is only used as supplemental income to keep low end devices more affordable. Why in the name of holy banana does a 800 buck phone contain bloatware?!
Seeing alot of complaints about not including charger but i think it's just europe thing. While other countries on the other hand has included charger.

Thanks allot brother for this video. I ve just bought one, but Xiaomi is so nice than iPhone, they were chopping our money for nothing special. Big up to Xiaomi.
In Indonesia they started the first sale on Oct 5th. And luckily we still got the charger in the box 😊, but both 14T dan 14T Pro only has 2 variants storage 12+256 and 12+512.
Outstanding review as always! I just ordered mine so thanks for answering some questions i had before watching this review. Sadly no included charger but i do have a 67w charger from my last phone.
Glad I could help!
I used to love my Xiaomi 13T Pro. I didn't have a single update since March of this year and many apps started to have bugs, because of the outdated software. So I would just advise anyone against buying anything from Xiaomi, because that's just ridiculous. But the hardware of this phone looks amazing. And thank for the review, Chris.
My Xiaomi 12T was updated 5 times since march, how is this even possible? Your update app has probably a bug
My 13T Pro global version got a security update not long ago, and another FW update not long before that. For me personally, I can't see any reason to update the phone just yet.
Been using xiaomi for 2 yrs..it lags and have screen prob..i used oppo too after a year it lags not good cam, samsung have a prob with the green line..been a fan of android ever since..but i guest its time to try Iphone for the first time..my moms iphone is just iphone X no problem till now,no lags good cam

My Oneplus 12 was bought in a summer campaign for 700 euros 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Best deal ever! Now that's a complete phone!
That is a MUCH better deal and phone! Well done.

It doesn't look 800 euros! Yes with you on that.
Exactly that's why the Galaxy S24 Plus looks very similar to Galaxy A55?! Our only option right now is to get an iPhone 16 Pro Max since it is the only flagship design of iPhone and no copycats from midrange to budget devices ohhh wait there's Itel and Tecno that looks the same with the iPhone 16 design 😢
What phone should we buy right now?

@@ChesterChanco sorry i couldnt figure out what you are trying to say

Thanks for review. I've been researching this recent release and previous releases all the way down to 9T Pro. As other's stated pricing is usually the deciding factor as they don't go on sale like US models. I was interested because I had a 8T Pro and loved the pop-up camera :D
I've stayed away since then because that's when they started injecting ads everywhere.
Frame is metal the back is glass. Xiaomi sent this to me.
Where I live they are giving a free Xiaomi Watch S3 and I'm honestly about to just buy it
Cool thumbnail bro 👍😎
Thanks 😁
if you could give them feed back on the charger, it would be greatly appreciated

At that price the XiaoMi 14T Pro is no linger a flagship killer. It is just and awkward flagship that's hard to get.
I currently have the vanilla 13T. Do you think it's now worth updating to the Xiaomi 14 or get the 14T instead? What matters are slightly better everything from general photos, videos (HDR, accuracy, low light, stabilisation, etc ) and battery life.

Great review as always Chris. Surprised by the price, the 13T looks a better deal and cheaper. Will you also cover the 14T?
14T wasn't sent to me so no sorry.
I sticked with Xiaomi because they kept the charger in the box now they are doing the same thing that's going to chase us away.
when ordering this phone from xiaomi online store you 9 out of 10 have the option to add the brick for 99 cents.
Curious as to what you would consider a flagship level camera island.
Hi Chris, would it be possible for you to do a comparison between this and the Honor 200 Pro? especially in terms of the camera performance :)
Am i the only one who think from the back the phone look so ugly. The camera bump just scream €299 phone instead of €799 phone.
It does look like a cheap Redmi camera module 😂😂
the 13T pro looks far better, welp i did a good decision switching from xiaomi to OnePlus, i got the Oneplus 12 and can't be happier the best phone i ve ever had (previously S24U, Mi 14U) if u feel betrayed by xiaomi just switch to oneplus u won't regret
I agree with you 100%! It looks like a really cheap entry level phone. Also having the flash mounted like a camera just to fool people into thinking there are 4 cameras in the back is such a lame decision...
Somehow I think it looks amazing. I went to store and tried it on hand yesterday. It's sturdy and feel nice. Like the metallic colour too
I just think it looks utilitarian, which isn't a bad thing . I'm not a big fan of Chinese phones, but I can't knock this design as I quite like it 😉
the question is this.
I still don't understand how an iPhone can even compare to anything, it's been a rubbish phone will remain in a rubbish phone .
You speak truths there, only the video quality is good and that's why I have mine.
$599 price is right and its a good phone. Major buy
Good Job, fantastic phone. Do you own or are you thinking of getting a Chinese EV, the likes of BYD, Zeekr, XPeng?
I would but they went up in price.
i had to go back to your 13t pro review because i was so sure the stability was better on that phone than 14t, and i was right.
Great video! Could you review Realme GT6 and compare with Xiaomi 14T pro?
It goes neck in neck with the Vivo X100 Ultra in low light shots!!
That is crazy.. because Vivo uses a 1" camera sensor, a bigger sensor than 14T pro but at some scenes it manage to be better than Vivo.
To do that without using a 1" sensor is crazy.
There are no other phones on this planet that could beat Vivo when it comes to low light shots but this 14T Pro is a beast..
Its not an overall better camera than Vivo but it can match with Vivo quality in some areas.
I still use my 10t pro. It's still going strong, battery life is still good.

@Techtablets Thanks! It is a very similar condition to mine, so the scores in your test are really helpful for me!

Not including the charger is due to eu regulation not a decision from Xiaomi itself.

The only thing i find regrettable from Chinese phones is the lack of continuity in the design department. They just try everything and don't even care if any of it sticks. Oppo had phones with ring LED around the back camera, gave it a name for marketing boast, then just dropped it the next iteration like it never happened.
