Utroba in Russian means "a womb" or "a maw". And honestly this just says everything about this track. The rhythmic and serene breathing. Occasional glimpses of cherry-red between your closed eyelids. Muffled sounds behind the soft yet trusty walls of your meaty cocoon. Women's lullabies, tender and full of expression, as opposed to yellowish, sick-filled air full of dust coming from the steppes. You catch just a whiff of the outside world that sends shivers down your spine... before returning to the same rhythmic breathing and oblivious slumber.
There's a feeling to this track that's mixed up in my own emotions for the game. I cannot see another game topping this one for me in my lifetime. Truly outstanding.
Its my favorite track probably. And it was the first track you hear when stepping outside and seeing Tragedian and Executor just standing there. And you start realizing how weird the game is.

Imagine a Pathologic movie with soundtrack from the game. A movie raising hard philosophical questions and challenging the audience with it. This would be so fresh and healing for modern dull cinema industry. Unforunately, such art never happens
Pathologic requires an interactive medium I think to truly succeed to its full extent. But a movie with some of Ice-Pick Lodge's creative genius and drive would be fantastic.

dude most people cant even get past the first day because of all the suffering the dude who made the 2 hour video essay on pathologic said he wouldnt replay the game if he was forced at gunpoint and you've replayed the game 50TH TIME WHAT THE FUCK
@@TheONLYFeli0 Isnt there barely any suffering or bad stuff on the first day? Thought it only really started on the second day onwards but I havent played it yet. Will be playing it soon.
A terribly late response, but I find the same thing. I've played the game through so many times it has become a second home for me; the Town has, at this point, taken on almost solid qualities in my mind. I swear sometimes the sound of the rain is the sweetest, most meditative sound I have ever heard. The whistling of Steppe winds and the chanting of ghostly voices in the streets is something I always come back to. I think what this proves is the game's marvelous atmosphere still has the power to totally entrance, even almost twenty years on, and even after so many hours spent in the labyrinthine streets. Thank you for your comment - it is nice to know other people also feel a kinship with this game. I knew when I first played it, as I still know now - this was the game I had been waiting my whole life to play.
@@TheONLYFeli0 It’s really not a difficult game, you just have to play smart and know the layout of the town well. By the end of my second playthrough ever, I had an overabundance of healing items, food, bullets and shmowders/panacea.

I only started playing at the start of the year, and only beat classic a couple months ago (path 2 quickly after), but its mindblowing how home-like this doomed town feels. It was rough starting out, but I'll never fail to admire how it managed to hook me, despite the hard-to-understand flowery language and strange game mechanics + graphics. My sibling calls it "a passion project by geniuses" and I could not agree more; there's so much cleverness to it, its like every aspect of the game is hiding Something.
@@winypacifist5034 She is basically persona of the plague but at the same time she fights with it she is a liar and she is a saint and at the end instead of rationalist-utopist end(bachelor) or conservative(haruspex)(preserving the town and kin) with clara you can choose dialectic one but sadly out of three characters clara got less detailed and more copy pasted quests. So without true ending's last theater and cathedral scenes all is blank for her

Utroba means entrails or innards(internal organs as a whole). It also means the same in Serbo - Croatian and maybe in other Slavic languages.

I would actually prefer a tv show as pathologic is more story and dialogue than 2 hour thrills. A tv show would do it more justice.
Friends tell me its fked up (and maybe it is) but starting Pathologic (even if its for 50th time) always feels like coming back home.
