Great video! So good seeing other moms doing this!! I have been cloth diapers and wipes for 3 years now ! I'm so glad I made my mind up to do it. I also told the wipes in the box like this too ! But I keep mine dry till I use them. Then I just use warm water. Thank you for sharing!

I been doing a lot of research on reusable wipes and diapers for my future grandkids. My oldest kids noticed how expensive disposable wipes and diapers are because we had family living with us temporarily. And they went through tons of diapers and wipes in the 2 months they was here. Their special needs child and younger 3 was in diapers. They still have their special needs and their youngest child in diapers and spend tons of money. One month they spent 800 bucks the 2nd month they spent more which don't make sense. Rough estimate 10,000 dollars for 1 year in diapering 4 kids. My oldest daughter started researching and so did I on cheaper resources. I several homeschool moms that did this method you do and saved tons of money. My oldest daughter is in to some of the zero waste because of a video she saw. I'm supportive of her choices and I hope she goes this route. If I would've known about this when I had younger kids I would've done it. I knew the struggles of coming up with money for wipes and diapers, my son used more than my daughter's. I have 4 kids who are pass that stage, but I'm looking to the future for my grandkids and to help my kids financially
Omg yes! I have saved so much money using cloth. Initially yes, it’s an investment, but over time pays for itself. Especially with more than one child. I am diapering my third baby (second in cloth) and it’s so nice being able to reuse the diapers my son no longer uses. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@lizbransky9653 I know one of my friends that is in my homeschool group said she cloth diapered and used cloth wipes for all 12 children. Her oldest daughter is married and is using the cloth diapers and wipes her mom used on her 24 years ago. If they're well taken care of you can use them for a very long time. She started making them because back then her oldest daughter would break out everytime she used a disposable diaper or wipe. She would bleed and blister and she started making them for her daughter health and never switched back on baby #2. She told me they was able to pay for her oldest daughter and oldest son's college because of them using cloth. I told my daughter I went through, just for my son, I went through 2,000 dollars worth the first year. That's alot she asked how much we spent on all 4 because she wants 4. I went through all our finances and log books, I kept track of everything. We spent nearly 15,000 on diapers and wipes. She was shocked and said that can be a down payment on a house where we live. Now it got her thinking and me thinking. If all four of my kids had 4 kids they could spend between 60 to 75,000 on diapers and wipes especially if they went the organic route. Since mom can see she wants me to get started on making cloth diapers and wipes. Her boyfriend agrees if it's the Lord will and they marry that's the route they want to go.

I dont know how this doest have more likes or views. A cotton wipe is what Ive been looking for everyone is using/posting with paper towels and their not good for a natural reusable wipe option.
I liked this video also! I had so many receiving blankets and hadn’t used them. I turned them into cloth wipes! I doubled it with some scrap fleece, but I could see myself also using old towels that had holes or were getting frayed, too! Really, any cotton. :) Thank you for sharing! Have you ever made cloth diaper soakers/ inserts?
No I haven't made any diaper soakers or inserts but thats actually a great idea! Maybe I'll make a video doing this! I did make a video on how to turn a prefold into a fitted diaper though. Great idea using the receiving blankets as wipes. I've used them as inserts before which works well too. Thanks for your comment!!
I had someone give me home made burp cloths and I'm wondering if I can just cut them in half and use them as wipes? I have 3 month old twin boys and we will be using cloth diapers starting monday
I store mine in a coffee can and on wash day just add water and shake shake and rinse a few times until the water is clear then throw in with my diaper laundry
you can definitely use just water for sure. I just like to use the witch hazel because it is soothing and cooling, however you must make sure it is the one with no alcohol
I totally get it! My husband loves the disposable wipes too. So, we have a combination of both. At least this way it gives me a slight bit of a break on my conscience since we're still using cloth in some form.

actually, if you get a pair of pinking shears you can just use those to cut the edges and no need to sew them! give it a try ;-)
