Can definitely vouch that a person should choose a league starter that has a playstyle they will enjoy and can afford. For RF, Dot multi should be more available with the ability to double stats on jewelry from the league mechanic so hopefully that helps offset the firetrap nerf. Looks l Same thing with level to skills at the top end.
You should reconsider repositioning your mic, when you talk to the left the quality gets noticeably worse and echoish. Going PC / BF BB Occultist Trade Softcore.
For absolute beginners Esoro has a super in-depth LS raider guide, it's for 3.18 so it doesn't take into account the reservation mastery nerf but you can annoint sovereignty or drop defiance banner, overall it's a really well made guide
I played Venom Gyre Deadeye last league, it was a blast. Pretty much swapped to Venom Gyre as soon as I had Chain and the two extra proj, so I didn't have to endure the awful playstyle of Spectral Helix, even if the campaign took longer, I had more fun. This league I will give Cyclone Shockwave Slayer a try.

@@Al_Does_Stuff Tough to say, I did run all my contracts when I got into Maps, I would say it's possible earlier. With enough evasion it shouldn't be too squishy in there, though you might feel a bit slow compared to something like perma onslaught raider.
Because you can play it as an ignite build using any other skill. Ignite builds are usually really good at progressing maps anyway. Single target damage was always the issue which you will fix with maw

No. That's a separate bug different than the melee and projectile hitting the same target, which is still in the game. LS still can 'double hit' the same target. Source: GGG replied to this in the thread on reddit

LS champ doesn't need headhunter. You want Perseverance. It's a pretty cheap build, the biggest investment sink is actually Omniscience, but you can get to 10m dps without Omni pretty easily. Omni pushes the DPS to 20m+.
These are 2 reddit replies to the LS bugfix: The bug was that it was hitting 3 times including ancestral call. With this fix you can still do the normal hit with ancestral call. You are mixing up ancestral call/extra strike targets effect, with a bug that required enemies to be moving and you to be in a specific position. Most players didn't do this, or, as this panic shows, even know it existed.
dont get why noone thinks about a Trickster ES build with Beast Fur Regalia. You get up to 100% ES recovery + overleech from ascendancy. Add in some high-damage skill + good damage migitation, we'll have a GG build of the game.
Will be playing PF Poison Concoction. My only goal is to complete the atlas and get my Voidstones. It will be my first time playing this skill, so as long as i can kill all T16 map bosses without struggle, and grab my voidstones with relative ease, this is what i will be starting as.

I played LS Champ in SSF without perseverance for a long time and it was still a very good mapper and a decent bosser although I did not do Ubers but perseverance is BIS once you find one.
I played LS Champion last league as my main, and hands down perseverance is the best belt for champion. I tried Mageblood and HH and Perserverance still felt the best, and had best damage.

Most likely yeah, hit based build that deals multiple types of ele dmg. Stuff like block, ES, inmune to X, etc makes it a hassle and slow. I would suggest any of the chaos dot builds running around for expedition
Helix/LS Trickster is one thing and I think Kobe is overlooking how good it can be. I don't know if he's reluctant to recommend it based on Polymath needing levels to come online, but it's objectively a strong LS ascendancy. Venom Gyre otoh...I wouldn't league start that on anything but a Deadeye. You really need the chain and extra proj to make it even feel remotely good.
The build that I had the most succes (I play since 3.16) has been venom gyre in 3.17. I could easily clear simulacrum but it was not a league starrter because of the expensive boots, so are those boot mandotary again or not?

Back before they buffed it, I was looking at doing a lightning conduit spellslinger (elementalist), but after the buff, so many people wanted to play it, that I'm not sure I want to even think about it. I really just wanted a good, super fast mapper to play this time as my league starter. I've never played VG before, but it looks fun. I just hate the steel skills (played them too much on duelist leveling, so I'm kind of tired of it lol). Is it okay to start with a bow skill? Just run with the opening bow skill till you get helix and swap over to claws?
Nice that I still didnt see anyone doing nothing even similar to me. No meta, cheaper build. Shield crush and/or Shield charge impale Trickster with unholy might Obliteration (best cheap/easy buff to shield skill i've thought - with total of 70% phys as extra chaos dmg + pop). PS: beefy Polymath, with 12-14 diff masteries (still will see in progression)

@@tmnumber1 no i don't know what you meant, "one of those HH only" does not mean that AT ALL. Now it will be hard to pull of in SSF for sure but nothing rng reliant like a t0 or t1 unique imho, you can take a lot of different scaling route depending on what you get, you just stick with helix longer
To give you a bit more informative answer, there is a 3.18 PoB in the video description and mention of a guide coming soon. Looking at the PoB, it's built as an Ele Claw (Nightblade) Trinity Deadeye which should make it fairly SSF viable. It'll take some effort because you'll be dependent on finding "Adds # Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage to Attacks" anywhere you can get it on your gear. But if you want a build you can incrementally invest over a longer period of time then this looks like it'd fit. I don't see any required uniques in the gear, with Mantra of Flames jewel being the only one in the PoB but it doesn't make or break the build. I may consider this one myself since I always wanted to play Venom Gyre and thought the only way to make it viable was Str Stacking with Replica Alberon's boots (which just isn't possible in SSF).

I dont understand why PC had bad single target when it seems to clear map so much faster than a build with techbically higher dps. A poison coc hit destroyes rares almost instantly where a normal build may require two or more hits/cast to kill a rare. Can someone help me understand?

Worth noting that Deadeye is a great balanced ascendancy if you enjoy Helix and don't want to transition to LS.

if you're talking about the dex stacking build, the boots don't exist anymore because sentinel didn't go core

Back before they buffed it, I was looking at doing a lightning conduit spellslinger (elementalist), but after the buff, so many people wanted to play it, that I'm not sure I want to even think about it.
I really just wanted a good, super fast mapper to play this time as my league starter. I've never played VG before, but it looks fun. I just hate the steel skills (played them too much on duelist leveling, so I'm kind of tired of it lol).
Is it okay to start with a bow skill? Just run with the opening bow skill till you get helix and swap over to claws?
You get helix at level 12. Use whatever skill you want until then.
Unless you are a racer, where a 10 minute slower a1 might matter..
Nice that I still didnt see anyone doing nothing even similar to me. No meta, cheaper build.
Shield crush and/or Shield charge impale Trickster with unholy might Obliteration (best cheap/easy buff to shield skill i've thought - with total of 70% phys as extra chaos dmg + pop). PS: beefy Polymath, with 12-14 diff masteries (still will see in progression)

Is Venom Gyre SSF viable or is it one of those HH only type builds?

@@johnmerritt5351 obv you know what i meant. Hard to find uniques, jewels etc to make the build work well is what I was talking about. I can make trade level builds but I cant count on tier 0 or 1 uniques.
@@tmnumber1 no i don't know what you meant, "one of those HH only" does not mean that AT ALL.
Now it will be hard to pull of in SSF for sure but nothing rng reliant like a t0 or t1 unique imho, you can take a lot of different scaling route depending on what you get, you just stick with helix longer
To give you a bit more informative answer, there is a 3.18 PoB in the video description and mention of a guide coming soon. Looking at the PoB, it's built as an Ele Claw (Nightblade) Trinity Deadeye which should make it fairly SSF viable. It'll take some effort because you'll be dependent on finding "Adds # Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage to Attacks" anywhere you can get it on your gear. But if you want a build you can incrementally invest over a longer period of time then this looks like it'd fit. I don't see any required uniques in the gear, with Mantra of Flames jewel being the only one in the PoB but it doesn't make or break the build. I may consider this one myself since I always wanted to play Venom Gyre and thought the only way to make it viable was Str Stacking with Replica Alberon's boots (which just isn't possible in SSF).
@@MidwestSteeze Thank you so much. That was the kind of answer I was looking for. When I get off work I will pull up that POB and take a peek. A more lengthy progression of incremental upgrades for as long as possible is one of the main reasons I play SSF.

like this video. However I wouldn't say spectral helix is uncomfortable to play. not to every one. I like helix more than lightning strike. Even lightning strike. and I know few more friend who agrees with me. That shows I skill might feel bad to some but it doesn't mean it feels bad to all. I think spectral helix has a different playstyle to it. if you adapt with it ur surely going to love it

I dont understand why PC had bad single target when it seems to clear map so much faster than a build with techbically higher dps.
A poison coc hit destroyes rares almost instantly where a normal build may require two or more hits/cast to kill a rare. Can someone help me understand?
Usually what happens is that you don't have flask charges and then the damage falls off massively, but I think new curse will help with this a lot.
To have a good uptime for damage on bosses you need to stand still
And standing still against uber bosses is not what you want to do

@@bushy9780 wait, why would u skip spell suppresion and poison nodes? u can get double cluster setup and all of the above, on like lvl 88.
Large cluster: wicked pall, unwavering evil, unholy grace (unspekable gifts prefer, but 10 times more expensive) - thats like 40c.
for mediums, circling oblivion + wicked pall/unwavering evil/flow of life(prefered) - thats like 20c
