Again, this guy never cease's to amaze me ! He comes up with a project on his mind then he has motors, engines, many engines, parts, many parts, tools, many tools, machinery, metal working and woodworking , welders, lathes, parts for everything, tires, nuts bolts, paint , oil, gas all at his fingertips and AT HIS HOUSE !! His house is an inventory !!! My gosh, somebody explain this to me,HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY !! THIS IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! Not to mention his skills and talent for every job title-electrician, mechanic, welder, pipefitter, carpenter , machine operator etc., etc., etc. !!!

Hey not trying to be that guy but this wasn’t a very complicated build, coming with his bike that can hold a huge 212cc engine, it fits well, the welds were also simple so not a problem setting up. the reason why it was so easy for him is cause he has all the pieces 😂

Dave... Well , when " Total BadAss " is your middle name, you don't need no introduction or explanation. When I used to fly RC planes, I took the same attitude when I painted up and did my pilots. They were work of art. The secret... Get quiet. Get alone... And, let your mind wander. Pretty soon, it will come to you. I guarantee it. Have a picture and go for it. Write it down on a piece of paper. Coz, you will forget about it that fast if you don't... That's why and how Burt Rutan came up with all his planes. All of us have, but, only about 10% of us use it... Cheers! And happy hunting !!!!

Glad you used a CVT, they give more speed than a clutch set up. I’d have thought you’d get a speed over 45mph though. Maybe check the size sprockets from cvt to wheel for more speed. The only other thing I’d suggest for comfort and safety would be to install a sprung front fork and to equip it with head and tail ( brake ) lights as well as directional lights. But you did a great job making a practical home made motor bike, wishing you many years of safe and fun riding

Centrifugal clutches give much more speed, they don't have much parasitic loss: CVT's have a lot in comparison. CVTs are much better off the line though!

  • @bilalcakir5750
    @bilalcakir5750 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Well thought of and time invested and I hope you always take care and ride safely,
You basically put a 6.0L v8 into a compact 4 cylinder car body that was designed to hold a 1.5l engine, transmission, brakes and body.
That car will never last long to carry the additional weight torque and braking power.
Same thing here, even a 50cc or 125cc scooter has much more braking power than bicycle brakes.
That's the reason engineers and designers build those things, to put that all together, safely, securely and affordable while meeting emissions.
Hopefully that bike frame holds though.
    Godspeed

Engine mount needs suspension for vibration?
I would put big taillights with brake lights for the safety of the rider, headlights? turn signals?
Also, I would build a light but strong cage protection around the back covering exhaust and other side for saddlebags, basket, cargo or passenger.

I am using a 212 cc on my moped. The big issue is VIBRATION.
All the Honda clones vibrate badly, where a smaller motor vibrates lightly while still giving decent speed. I ended up isolating the engine with rubber below and at the top of the engine= better, but not as smooth as a 79cc that I used on a former bike.

The ol' beast rides impeccably, nicely done, I like it!!
Essentially what you've built is more o an actual motorcycle than it is a moped which is outstanding

You gotta love a country that says "you wanna bolt an engine to an old bicycle frame & ride it on the streets ? Sure, we don't care, do what ya like"

Thank you very much for this one. As always, well done and it is a pleasure watching. But so many of the comments say the same as I do. This time I would like to emphasize the absolutely amazing footage! The work you all put in, editing and shooting. Also, it was so very nice to see your lady buy vegetables. It makes the whole video so much sweeter.
One last thing, I would have loved to see the internal gearshifting. If I saw correctly it is a Nexus 7?
Again thank you and be well. You and your loved ones.
    Sincerely,
    Alicia from Sweden.
