Thanks for your comment! I’ve always loved the textures of circuit boards (my husband’s a geek) and thought maybe I could work with them. I’ve been using any and all kinds of discarded objects on my paintings for about 15 years now and I’m always on the lookout for new ways to get interesting textures on my artwork.
Hmm … maybe ask a geek. My husband and I bought the circuit boards in a store that sells used computer parts. You might also find people who take old computers apart for fun. Maybe ask in an art school? Upcycling is more popular these days. Good luck!
No, not directly but I’m guessing it would work just fine. They are beautiful. I have made 3 artworks with printed circuit boards, using E6000 or moulding paste to attach them (I usually coat with gesso or primer because gesso sticks to everything and everything sticks to it)
I love this concept! How’d you come up with the idea of using hardware as elements of paintings?

@@dorothealeblancart thanks you so much for the tips 🙏
Have you tried covering PCBs with pouring paint?

Oh, and after they’re all painted sometimes I use pouring medium as a final layer.
@@dorothealeblancart Examples, please
@@bwareable not sure I understand … pouring medium is a good final coat to use if you want a thick glossy finish. I’ve used it on many of my pieces. 😊
