since dynasty warriors 6 and DW hasn't been the same for me. I wish they bring back the feel of DW 3 4 5 back in DW 9 because this is just too easy and too fast, I want to actually feel like I'am hitting the troops and not like go through them like cotton candy they really should work on the attack patterns and the AI of the enemies.
Health sink enemies are boring fyi. This isn't even good weapon set up. Cyclone, Thunder, Flash, Slash, Velocity, Jubilation. Is basically the set up for 90% of the weapons.

the game is actually not too easy, thats level 99 with all status max out, he also customize the weapon having everything focus on attack and speed all level 10 (max). That weapon he customize is already even stronger than the secret weapon u can get.
I was watching this, and it makes me remember a couple days ago when I was reading about video game controversies and I came across some fundamentalist ranting about how thinking about a crime is committing it in your heart or some bullshit like that and killing someone in a game is just as bad as killing a real person. I'd love to show them a video like this to see how they'd react. Especially the sequence starting around 9:48 where Zhao throws his spear to the ground and kills 12 enemies, then finishes 25 more with a single charge attack. That truly is the essence of Dynasty Warriors.
I meant the weapons in DW8 would look like they did in DW4. I know it would be impossible for some characters now such as Liu Bei or Zhou Yu but characters like Zhao Yun, Xiahou Dun, and Lu Bu could get back their old weapon skins from previous games and not just their previous costumes.
I wish one day well get weapon skins and movesets from previous DW games. For me, DW4 arguably still has the best looking weapons and it would be great to see them again in a HD makeover.

And btw dude, you may noticed already, but if and officer with an affinity that beats yours is already in air, you can juggle them...so you can switch from your advantaged weapon to a disadvantaged one mid combo and keep it going.
PS3 has hardly any slowdown just around fire (yiling and chiibi) and a little glitch when doors of bases are opening the screen moves rapid but other than that it's a wonderful game.
Man what a hassle getting the Master of Chaos trophy. I maxed out all characters and I could still barely get through each stage, even with Lu Bu. I've also been killed a few times.
Can anyone please answer if on this installment of the series you use the characters default weapons or can you equip different weapons to characters that wouldn't typically use them? I prefer in the DW series when each character is restricted to using their classic weapon rather than everyone being able to use gauntlets, spears, or fans, etc... I feel it reflects the character / lore much better. Thanks for any info. I am keen to get another one =)
dodofro Ever since DW7, DW has allowed characters to switch to different moveset/weapons. In fact, they made it a vital part of gameplay in DW8 with the new weapon affinity system (basically you are forced to switch back and forth from two weapons all the time). Don't worry, if you wish to make the characters stick to their default weapons, you can easily just equip two of the same type of weapon. That's up to you.
dodofro anyway use standard character weapons is good for ex attacks, should to look the passive skill compatibility of the character like whirlwind shadowstep or dash that can help, if you dont like use a weapon. if you start the game with lian shi with crossbow is so stressing i just prefer change weapon lol

No the javelin is thrown because it is part of its move set and when Zhao yun throws the spear at the ground because that is one of his musou moves
