I like how the characters in DW8 actually look Asian for the most part. That's one of the things that's always bugged me about Dynasty Warriors games, it's set in ancient China and yet everybody looks like they just hopped off a boat from Western Europe.

I love the true rage musuo attacks of Xiao Qiao, Yue Ying, Xing Cai, and Zhen Ji! They all have allot pf character in the movements, and they reflect previous movesets from older games (DW5 and earlier), like Zhen Ji's flute slapping and kicks for example.
Benny Siahaan Wang Yi is the sexiest woman out of the entire dynasty warriors series. Never was a fan of yuanji, she is just another out of placed white girl in the series.
You gotta feel bad for them. They join the army in hopes of getting glory, then as soon as the battle starts their commanding officers charge ahead killing the enemy by the hundreds and in the worst case scenario they're one of the hundreds slaughtered by the enemy officers.

It took awhile to get used to if you play with other character too often (well most of the cast) so you might get confused a little bit but you can still do it just fine.

I don't know what they did to Sun Shiang Xiang, she was absolutely badass in DW4, and probably the fastest as well. Well, at least there's Wang Yi and the always reliable Yue Ying as your battle maidens.
After playing quite a bit, Da Qiao's normal attacks are pretty good actually, and she great mobility with the air charge->dash cancel. With a weapon tuned for Musou spam, you can run her in Ultimate stages rather easily. She has a few safety issues being stuck in one spot, but her musou filling is very fast, so it makes up for that. Her normal musou attack is really effective in damage and AoE. Wang Yi is still my bae, but most characters in DW8 feel good. Try Pang De Musou build, it's kind of funny to clear maps with him like that :D

That was some nice music in this video by the way, and I usually don't like Hip Hop beats ether but these I like. Anyway the visuals here in this warriors game are quite stunning. I love the Dynasty Warriors women they are goddesses. I want to just like one, but I can't choose ha ha ha!

OMG HAhaha these ultimate chain musous are ridiculous!! LOVE IT! I remember challenging my friend in split screen on DW4 to see who could get the longest combo by juggling a poor guy.
i do agree that now it's not that challenging because the musous do so much dmg etc. but i'd rather play the later ones because of certain things that the early ones shoulda had that the later ones did.(and no not the musous). For example I like how there's a alot of different weapons,mounts, and items that you can have now.
I was considering this game and then saw this video title and preview, nearly had a mini heart attack thinking that all the female characters were going to end up as senran kagura-like fanservice in battle oh god
To be honest, I just wanted to see if the attacks would be different. I saw the first musou by Bao, and felt disappointed for about a second cuz I thought they'd be the same. Then I kept watching and saw that she, along with the others, actually had 4 musou attacks this time around? That made me happy. It seems like its going to a bitch to play tho if the enemy pulls one of those super musou attacks on me. Looks like a straight up unblockable 1 hit KO
You really don't know how solid Iron fan was especially in DW7 and DW7XL with the Double Element setup. Try to optimize them yourself before you judge them. In this game, Iron Fan got HUGE RANGE UPGRADE and Da Qiaos's Strike Force Weapon was in the league of Broken tier like Throwing Knives, Flying Sword, Nine Ringed Blade.
i played through half of DW7 and realized i could do an aerial Musou attack. XD i miss the days of you counting out your chains to do the big special attacks. XD

You can extend the duration of the rage musou by picking up musou-restoring items during the attack.
