Monday night's wouldn't be the same without an episode of Taff's Total War Campaign.

    Hello Mr. Taff, Sir!
Excellent battles against Maharatha! Well done Sir the Empire rejoices! Good use of terrain, artillery placement and depth of your Infantry lines ... Superb!
Now a piece even to give you some trade and breathing space. I do believe you are correct that this is just the end of round one! The next can happen at any time unless you choose it?
Yes fortify India and England against the Swedish. Eventually they will come. You may wish to move your navy into the Thames or even reconnaissance Norway with the channel fleet? At present, the French don't seem to be hostile, but eventually that will cook off too.
I love this content and keep it coming! Your campaign is well in hand, Euroupe is the question? 🍻

I really like this series. I was not that keen on the Napoleonic one, not sure why. This one is really a great watch. maybe it is the world spanning of it. Anyway, awesome series so far and I look forward to every episode

Fire by rank seems like something intuitive, can’t figure why the game makes you learn it.

Fire by rank required a good bit of discipline and trust from the troops, to make sure no one fired out of turn and, say, shot the guy in front of them.
This being the 1700s, where armies had just transitioned out of the pike and shot era, and started to shape themselves into what they are today, means that tactics, drills and organization were actively being torn down and made up as they went.
Fire by Rank seems rather obvious, but that's looking at it from the present day, and as they say, Hindsight's 20/20.

In India the British want to push up two armies to the North, one to the bridge North of Mysore, and the other on the East Coast once order is established in the cities. Stops all the raiding and nonsense.
Also in England create two Universities in England at Oxford and Cambridge, put a church school in Manchester when it becomes a town. In Rupert, build 5 Hessians, then take Montreal ASAP, to start the conquest of America.

You’d think the maharaja would come up with a better strategy than sailing all the way to the St Lawrence seaway 🫤

It's nice that you made peace in India for now, I think you should get Sweden off your back and sue for peace ONCE you DECLARE WAR ON FRANCE, and take their regions in America, so that you can make more money on trades, taxes, and also the thirteen colonies, and then make peace (with France and Sweden), it's not convenient warring with Sweden, better to make peace.
But before that happens I think you should first have a stronger navy and make even more money, look at the world market and get the plantations and trade routes.
Right now you should probably build up more armies in America, and right now you must keep the peace with India, and hopefully you are succesful with taking the Thirteen colonies.
(Oh also my advice, remove bad ministers in government, and maybe auto constructions will be convenient for you.)
