As a Purdue fan growing up and alum now, I get why the recent OSU game was the pick, but for me it would be the 2000 OSU "Holy Toledo" Brees to Morales game or 2004 win at ND for the first time in 30 years.

Stanford’s biggest win IMO was when they beat USC pre Andrew Luck in 06 or 07(I forget the year exactly). They were like 42 point underdogs. I remember Richard Sherman still played receiver that year.
Wake Forest beating Florida St 30-0 that year on the road was pretty special too. Being a wake we cherish those few upset wins we get once in awhile Go Deacs!!

I'd argue that the 2003 NIU team is the best (in at least the past 40 years) to not get a bowl invite. 10-2, 4-0 non-con with wins at Alabama and home vs. Maryland (attended this game, was absolutely wild) & Iowa St. Ranked as high as #12 after starting 7-0 before 2 later season losses took them out of the conference race. I'll listen to other contenders, but this is hard to beat.

We could’ve beat Auburn on the road (although we may have still lost in the SEC championship anyway), we drop a game to damn Kentucky the week after beating Bama, then we get our asses handed to us at home by Arkansas. “So close yet so far” is a going theme of 2010-2013 for SC.
Not only is that a tough place to win, every time NM fans watch the ending do they tear up because the guy who made the game-clinchjng tackle passed away in a car accident after the season. They painted the 22-yard line (his #) in his honor
I don't know what kind of OSU fan you are but a title win is bigger than any other game, except maybe a game vs ttun. The Alabama win was fun, but it pales in comparison to any title game win, or a win over ttun.
I want Nebraska to be relevant again. I met a few fans in Eugene when they played the Ducks and they were super nice. They also showed up very well. Probably the biggest fan showing for a visiting non conference team that I’ve seen at Autzen Stadium. They got loud too. I hope we do a home and home series with them again soon.

It's a tough call between that and Houston considering the UH win was actually against a good team, but that 07 ND game meant so much to so many people in the Navy fanbase. Even as a Notre Dame fan it was a really cool moment to watch for them.

UCLA’s best game was played in 2006, the Year of the Dog. UCLA are 6-0-1 against USC in football in the Year of the Dog. UCLA started in 1928 and did not play USC in their first Year of the Dog season in 1934. UCLA won in 1946, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and 2018, and the tie was in 1958. I’m hoping that they continue the trend in 2030, 2042, 2054, and beyond.

OUs defense wasn't bad until sometime after 2015-16. It wasn't great but I truly believe that if OU would of had the defense it did any year prior to 2014 any of the last 4 seasons OU would've won a national title.
