    I decided in the midst of post-partum depression that I would go get my knuckles tattooed to make me feel better 🙃 Needless to say it made me feel worse and I've just had my first treatment on them. So glad we have the option of getting bad decisions removed these days.

      Sorry for what you’ve been experiencing. I have realized through the years that both Depressive & Manic episodes seems to be a strongly link to impulsive decisions that are later regretted or otherwise realized to of been a mistake.
      If you don’t mind asking why did you choose knuckle tattoos specifically? Are you a stay at home mom _(or work from home)._ or do you just have a job that doesn’t care about hand tattoos? Or was it just 100% impulsive without thinking?
      As said, don’t feel like you have to answer if you’re not fully comfortable answering. I’m just asking out of curiosity not because I **need** an answer.

      @@maenad1231 I am actually a registered nurse so it was definitely just an impulsive decision.
      However im Australian and nurses here are allowed to have visible tattoos. But I'm very sick of every patient asking me what they are and what they mean. That was a big deciding factor in getting rid of them. Lucky for me my ward manager also owns a laser business so she's removing them for me.

      Ugh I can imagine the annoyance being badgered by your patients must cause. But besides that I’m so glad & relieved to hear you profession hasn’t suffered from this!
      I live in the USA and frequent websites like Reddit and have heard so many stories of people going through manic episodes or depressive episodes or even just low self esteem episodes and they make an impulsive tattoo decision that is highly visible enough that pretty much ruined their lives. My heart ached reading those posts since a lot of professions here treat employees who make one tiny impulsive tattoo mistake like an unforgivable crime and assume they must not be competent or prudent enough to do there jobs the way they always have.
      Happy to hear you have a better support system and this removal process won’t cost you an arm and a leg. I’m rooting for you!

    Think twice before getting a tattoo kids! I got mine when I was 17 and my parents got divorced. I wanted to do something rebellious and decided to get a tattoo. I had my first removal appointment today and I’m so happy I started this process. It really didn’t hurt that bad! So glad nowadays you don’t have to live with bad decisions 😅

      Can I ask, why not consider a dermatologist who specializes in tattoo removal and offers the option of lidocaine injections? If you’ve ever had dental work it’s the same numbing shot used for root canals and crown placement. There’s literally no pain. I have a consult with a doctor (dermatologist) for removal and lidocaine injectors are used. I don’t feel comfortable going to Med spa, removery or other places where there aren’t board certified doctors. I’m just wondering why i don’t see more people opting to go to dermatologist? Also, mine will be pretty pricey because I am going to a doctor and I am a removing a spacey, but fine lined medium sized tattoo. I am also, African American.

    This gives me so much hope. Two months ago, I got olive branch tattoos on my collarbone area and I really wanted them to be perfect and dainty and elegant, but they are thicker and not exactly like the reference pic I showed so I keep comparing them to other people with similar tattoos and it has become so unhealthy for me. Really thinking about getting them removed since I wish that they were either perfect (not possible even with touch ups) or that I had never gotten them. such a nice and reassuring video :) i got a first session for a back tattoo back in october and suddenly my tattoo artist ghosted me. it was up until 2 weeks ago that i was able to get in touch with the artist to finally finish the tattoo. during that 6 month period of a half finished tattoo, i was highly considering getting a removal because i was tired of seeing it half done and i just didn’t love how it looked so far. i convinced myself to continue with the 2nd session to see how the complete and finished tattoo would look. it looks nice but i still don’t LOVE it. i’d love to get laser one day (when i have the funds because lets be honest, this shit is probably so expensive!!) anyways, thanks for a cool video

The tattoo I wanted at 18 are dramatically different to the ones I want one (aged 25) however if you feel sure then go for it. The tattoos I got when I was 18 I still love and mean a lot to me. But its nice that you have so many options now if you don’t like your tattoo anymore :) thanks for the video!

    Wow for 8 sessions your tattoos are nearly or fully removed that’s amazing. I’m at 7 sessions for my ankle tattoo and only now am I noticing some fading in specific areas and some break up but some large portions are still very dark. Mines a basic black text tattoo as well.

      same, I have had 6 session so far and my tattoo is only barely faded. I wish it was a faster process. Especially bc you have to pay per session.

    Had my first session today on 3 tattoos .
    1 on my back 1 on my shoulder and 1 on my forearm ! It hurts but it’s fast ! The minutes definitely slow down 😂 I will never get or recommend tattoos ! I regretted mine years after but I still regret them

    I got my (first) sleeve almost 9 years ago and I never technically got it finished but I've been debating on just getting it removed, it doesn't look awful it's just not exactly how I had hoped, so I think I'll have it removed to make room for another much better one

    It's great to see such a detailed, in depth and honest video about your tattoo removal journey. I find these very helpful, as I am currently also on the same journey, in fact just came home from a session and I am sitting wrapped in ice packs to reduce the swelling... I actually have been told today during my treatment that since I have a little bit of white ink (only to slightly highlight the contours of the flowers on my arm luckily so quite a small amount) that there is a chance of oxidation happening, which could result in the white ink turning grey. I saw that you had some white on the blue bow and I was wondering if you could share how has the process been for you? Has any oxidation occurred? I would love to know. While I would still rather have a few tiny grey lines and dots on my arm rather than keeping the tattoo I'm still hoping that this won't happen to me.

    wow your removals are great!!!!! Do you get all of them removed at the same time? I've had 2 sessions so far and they're doing it 3 months apart which I'm dreading because I want them all gone ASAP. I feel as though it hasn't faded much

    Im recently sober and have more than a handful of tattoos I hated straight after getting, poorly done, horrible memories and some terrible attempts of trying to cover a couple up I think it's time I invest in doing this I at least want to fade them to go over with something I actually like. Anyway this video gives me hope I can !

    This video was incredibly comforting. I am 30 years old and finally went on to get my first tattoo, having always advocated for them for their interesting history as well as beauty, artistry and self expression. While I don't hate the tattoo I got, I regret the placement a little bit and wish I had kept it blackwork.
    I'm one week into healing it so if it really doesn't start to sit well with me on the long run, I am so pleased to know it doesn't have to be permanent. Thank you for sharing your process on something that's often considered a bit taboo or embarrassing

    • @KM-hw1rt
      @KM-hw1rt ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow same, although it isn’t my first. I loved the design but, my placement is not the best. Are you seeking treatment with a dermatologist or through laser clinics?

    • @Hybridancer
      @Hybridancer ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@KM-hw1rt I am sorry you're struggling with yours too. Mine is starting to sit a bit better with me, but I am still on the edge whether to carry out some editing touches (therefore, adding more ink) and/or giving the tattoo a "place to live in", so more tattoos that would form into a sleeve eventually.

      I have the Chinese LIBRA symbol on my foot. The guy who did the tattoo went horizontal with it rather than vertical. I remember telling him that it needed to go top to bottom and he said that they can go either way. I believe him because he’s the professional. It wasn’t until a year later that I was told it was wrong by a friend. I don’t like it for placement reasons but I also don’t like it as a 30 year old married woman and mother to 3. I want it gone but I don’t want pigment getting stuck in my liver.

    Thank you for showing your tattoo removals.
    I'm going to get a black tattoo removed from my lower back because the area around it has looked strange since I go it done.
    (A physiotherapist has mentioned this to me before but I wasn't ready at the time to get it removed so I have considered it for several years now)
    I think it could be because of heavy metals even though it is only black, the tattoo is 20 years old.

    I got 2 tattoos on my right upper arm 2 years ago and kinda regret then just live with it. Last weekend I went to Melbourne and get a smoke flow done on my other arm and it turned out very sketchy . I hate it so bad and I want to get it remove right away. Def this time I will see a laser tech and get all three remove. Big Lesson learnt. The smoke flow is very long and running through the whole arm. Lucky they are not too thick. I need to see how it fully heal and start the session in the end of the year. Guess within 2 years they will be gone 😅
