- gosh, i haven't posted a beyond evil fmv in a while so here is a lame one.
the moment i heard this song i think it just instantly clicked that it captured dongsik as a whole throughout the drama. he was a character who'd grieved for the entirety of the show whether it showed or not, but you know he was constantly carrying a deep-rooted sadness. i think the whole part of him not attending his grandmother's memorium or church in general (at least, i assume so) makes this song even more fitting because the lyrics tend to question the existence of god while wanting to reach out to their loved one who'd passed. i think the chorus at the end is him desperately calling for help, and i think he would do anything to find such help even if it meant calling out to god despite not being fully faithful.

Have watched the show twice already, I’m so in love with Dong-sik, he’s suffered so much and yet he somehow still finds a way to be there for everybody, to still care… He’s such a strong and beautiful damaged character, and Shin Ha Kyun portrayed him to perfection. I just want to hug him!! Why did nobody give him a damm hug?!! He’s so broken inside and I’m so happy he found his closure.
he’s so pained and tired from all the dirt he’s went through and yet he still has so much good in him… this hurts you chose violence with this
he is so lonely and feels guilty for being alive that he'd rather be dead. but he will still never want this for anybody else. dongsik was loved by his family. and to have that family taken away from him so suddenly and being left with no one to believe or lean on. and to be forced to live with no closure for over 20 years! and not just about yuyeon but his own dad he couldn't care for in his last days. his mom who had to brave everything alone. facing betrayal after betrayal and yet he tries to find fragments of what he had lost in everyone and everything around him. dongsiks of this world, the world does not and will never deserve you. And if there was a god in this world, he should kneel before dongsik.

The way Shin played him made me watch this drama 3 times. I love it. Such an unique character
She was a wonderful person. I can say that I was lucky to have met her. It was painful to see her in pain from her already healed foot, or when his emotions mixed between laughter and crying, or when he collapsed in front of the body of his police director, or when he was desperate to the point of cursing and told Han Goo Won to kill him after he took out his weapon, or when he was shocked. In front of Yoo Yeon's body, Lee Dong Shik's pain was very touching, and Shin played a big role. Perhaps if someone else had played the role, I would not have completed the series. Indeed, I am now in the fourth series, which I watch by Shin Kyun. His acting attracts me more and more, and I hope he continues his creativity.
Every time I see Lee Dongsik, I feel like giving him a warm hug 🥺💞
