He is doing all of this, racing and fighting, not just because he wants to do these things to satisfy his own interests, but also because he's doing it for Lion. While Nick is rich, but his bestfriend Lion is not, Lion is quite poor and cash-strapped, so 1 of the main reasons Nick races and fights is to make money for Lion. Since Nick is rich he doesn't need the money nor does he care about money. Underneath his badboy exterior, Nick actually has a good heart and cares alot about his friends. Nick is actually a very complex character, and they will get into his backstory & past in the sequel.
