hey man, the album is pretty dope, but I also want to highlight your reaction. Not sure how to discribe it, but in comparrison to many music reactions of an full album, this one here just stood out in the best way. Plus the cutting works super well. Cutting the whole album in an 18 minutes video, without losing the flow of the album is probably not that easy. You did a awesome job with that one too. Did really enjoy it!
This honestly surpassed my expectations, another solid as hell metalcore record out of a year with nothing but Ws for the genre. Rest In Peace Ryan Siew
Dissipate is an absolute face melter. My top two songs for the year are Meet Your Maker by In Flames and Dissipate. This whole album is so good. Will be awesome to see how many times I play it by the end of the year.
Rarely do I love an album at a first listen, and holy hell was the last album I loved immediately. This album didn’t do it for me in first listen, not sure why. I’m sure some songs will grow on me. But that’s awesome to hear a lot of people are absolutely digging this album already. ✊
Holy hell. This is as close to a 10/10 of an album as you can get. Thank you for the music, Ryan. What a shame you never got to play these live for us. Rock in peace.
This one surpassed the mortal coil for me Best riffage Best sound production Best breakdowns Best choruses Just absolute perfection The production of this album was being handled by Lance prenc. The leading sound engineer Australia Vocals are done by Scott Simpson of Alpha Wolf This album is Straight AOTY For me
This is truly an amazing album, theres clearly so much passion in this. I can truly see this as the album that really propels them to an even higher level than theyre already at!
Been revisiting this album in preparation for their EU tour (with Beartooth and landmvrks, insane lineup!) and damn, was it good to re experience it with you and really feel it. This is a really well done video that does justice to the technical and emotional heights this album hits. Thanks @bogdan for in essence being a listening buddy even asynchronously while I’m deep in my feels. You do great work.
“i cant outrun my faith, it follows like a shadow, i put all my faith, in a saint without a halo” this part hits so fucking hard man. for me it is up there with my fave hook of theirs in unfamiliar from the guilt and the grief LP
This has been such a amazing year for metal. This album hits me in so many ways. Not only the lyrics but how they sang. "I never had the clarity of mind, to recognize that time was never on my side." literally brings tears to my eyes given my current situations in life. Kudos to Polaris for a absolute masterpiece of a album. I thank you and appreciate you more than you will ever know. And as always, awesome reaction Bogdan. Top notch as always brother.
Great reaction mate. I love the honesty you have with these and it’s great to see how much you loved this album as Polaris are my favourite band. Being an Australian I get to seem them 3-4 times and year so keen to see them preform this new album next weekend. AOTY and my favourite of Polaris 11/10
Man you could feel the emotion in all these songs and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Especially everything that happened with Ryan it was an emotional listen. I'd definitely say lyrically I really attach to the song dissipate. It hit some personal feelings reading the lyrics to it.
Holy Hell was on my repeat the year I was taking care of my dying father, and this one is on my repeat the year of the death of my relationship with the love of my live. Both will live with me forever.
Best part of this album was that I finished the first listen and immediately listened to it all again. Can't stop listening over and over. Also dissipate is my favorite
Fuckin what an album! I literally just got into these guys 5-6 months ago. These songs hit you right in the feels musically and lyrically and emotionally. RIP RYAN.
Great reaction! This is a Phenomenal album. I cannot wait to see these guys live next month. Seeing them in Massachusetts on their US tour. Gonna be a hell of a show.
17:10 I feel like I know exactely what you are talking about, going through something similiar myself. Your words really got to me, made me shed a tear
For some reason I didn’t have super high expectations but I should have known Polaris would deliver a banger album. And they did. One of my favorite albums this year and it just keeps getting even better with each listen.
Even if you're not a big fan of this album musically (idk how that's possible exactly but I digress), it's impossible to deny how much emotional weight this album carries. It could just be the context of the release, but it feels like every line is just dripping with anger, sadness and a plethora of other strong emotions. This is easily album of the year for me even compared to new HLB which I didn't think I would be say. Great job boys and Ryan forever ❤
The music freaking slaps. But the cover for this album is one of the best I've ever seen. I took one look at the cover and was like " yeah, this is my kind of music."
Mortal Coil is a top 5 album for me, but most albums require a ton of listens to ascend to that level for me, I could totally see this album getting up there too
Front to back, 10/10 banger. Album of the Year. Probably their best album to date, and I was a massive fan of their 2020 release. Lads knocked it out of the park once again. Dissipate is by far my fave track, but so many others are fantastic for their own reasons. Ryan Siew is a legend, and it's gut-wrenching that he is no longer here with us. His final masterpiece was his best. I also liked the variety of other artists in here, in terms of vibe. I detected a bit of Bad Omens and BMTH in the first bit of Harbinger. The start of Crossfire sounded a bit like While She Sleeps. But as the songs continue, the Polaris breakdowns remind you of what band you're listening to. Absolute chills. Very, very, very well done.
Insane album a good 9.8/10 for me. Definitely one of the best if not the AOTY....seriously 2023 is packed with solid releases, IA, Currents, Sleep Token, Periphery, ABR, VoM etc....and yet we haven't heard the new Silent Planet, correct me if I'm wrong but should be release in 2023. What a year for metal. For me its pretty tight between Polaris, Currents and Periphery at the moment for best album this year.
This album had me spazzing in my chair on every track. It's just an all-out, relentless attack for each song and it shows that Polaris is at their absolute best when they bring their sonic aggression to an absolute maximum. 10/10.
Fantastic album. I'm surprised how much I'm listening to this. They really showcased metalcore perfectly with these guitars, tight drums, music breaks, clean/harsh vocals, ambiance... amazing. I've been headbanging and singing a lot at work!
You know a record is really good when it pulls these emotions out of you and it makes you get lost in your own thoughts and memories. An absolute masterpiece by our boys.
I'm not gonna lie to ya'll, there were some moments where I teared up because of losing Ryan and I miss him a lot. Overall, I thought the album felt like a release of emotions and was blown away in a lot of songs! Have a great day everyone, Ryan forever
Growing up in Sydney I’ve had the privilege to see these boys live multiple times, I’ve seen Ryan play in a set with Alpha wolf as well, I remember first seeing them for their Mortal Coil tour they are by far the best band I’ve ever seen live. The band isn’t going to be the same without Ryan but this is a beautiful way to pay tribute to him he went to another level this album it sucks we will never hear it again.
This tops everything in their Discography and their last album was fucking amazing. This is just so fucking good. I didn’t think anything would compete with Currents for my favorite album of the year, but holy shit, this may just top it.
It is so good to see that so much new record in metalcore and deathcore are better and better than the previous ones. So much good music in core gender ,definitly pushing metal at his best. Listening metal for more than 30 years now and this music slaps me in the face almost every week. Thanks you so much for making us discovering so much crazy good bands 🙏🔥🤘
This album is absolutely amazing, I already had high expectations and it still floored me, the riffs, the breakdowns, choruses, melodies all of it is so good one of my favorite albums of the year. Rip ryan we love you
Fatalism has to be one of my favorite albums of this year. Nightmare is by far my favorite single, and I was pleasantly surprised by the non singles. The ones that stood out to me were Harbinger, Parasites, Dissipate, Fault Line and All In Vain. But another excellent album by Polaris, and R.I.P. to Ryan. You will be terribly missed, and you've touched all of our hearts with your work. ❤🤘
This puts polaris ahead in my imaginary competition between them and currents lol. The Way It Ends beat Death of Me, but Fatalism is so much better than The Death We Seek for me.
Polaris did it again(probably), haven't heard it or watched the video yet, because we're having a listening party event TODAY on the server(THAT IS PUBLIC)

Agreed, the singles worried me cos I wasn’t feelin em but listening to the whole album it kicks ass
The Mortal Coil, The Death of Me, Fatalism. What an unbelievable trio. Can’t get enough of this band!

That last half of Harbinger is one of the greatest sections of metalcore ive ever heard. Its so dope.
Easily the best opening track on an album this year imo
what about absence persistent
@@piotrek5946 Banger track. Love the chorus. I love basically every song on Heavener.
This album is definitely Polaris’ All Our Gods. The whole thing front to back is just fucking amazing
I love how you can call something disgusting and we all recognize that means it’s incredible
hey man, the album is pretty dope, but I also want to highlight your reaction. Thank you I appreciate it and I'm happy you enjoyed it !
Agreed. Many reactors don’t get physically into the song in the same way he did
I really like how you took the effort to place the cut out layers over the progress bar
Polaris REALLY struck gold with this album. So good.
This honestly surpassed my expectations, another solid as hell metalcore record out of a year with nothing but Ws for the genre.
Rest In Peace Ryan Siew
Love how the progress bar goes behind the silhouette
Dissipate is an absolute face melter. My top two songs for the year are Meet Your Maker by In Flames and Dissipate. This whole album is so good. Will be awesome to see how many times I play it by the end of the year.
The last time I heard an album this perfect was Holy Hell. Definitely album of the year so far for me.
Funny thing is this album reminded me of Holy Hell at times.
bruh last time i cried so hard over an album WAS holy hell
Rarely do I love an album at a first listen, and holy hell was the last album I loved immediately. This album didn’t do it for me in first listen, not sure why. I’m sure some songs will grow on me. But that’s awesome to hear a lot of people are absolutely digging this album already. ✊
@@Odd1006yesss. In crossfire when Jesse screams "we're caught in the crossfire" reminded me so much of holy hell
Unpopular opinion: last time I heard an album this perfects was FTTWTE
I personally think Polaris excels when they’re doing the softer post hardcore style and I’m so glad this album had lots of that on it
Definitely in the top 5 from all of the albums we've got so far in 2023. Phenomenal work!
Holy hell. This is as close to a 10/10 of an album as you can get. Thank you for the music, Ryan. What a shame you never got to play these live for us. Rock in peace.

Parasite is straight out of the mortal coil, I love it. The album as a whole is fantastic
Parasites is by far my favourite but it rarely seems to gets any attention, and I’m so glad to see someone get so hyped over it like I still do lol

Going to see them live in Charlotte next month with currents. So stoked
This album is everything that got me into metalcore in the first place.
Can't wait to see these guys live
I don’t know if this is their best album or if I still like The Mortal Coil more, either way it’s PERFECTION
Mortal Coil is better imo, but this one is still a banger! With regards is my favorite!
Mortal Coil is a top 5 album for me, but most albums require a ton of listens to ascend to that level for me, I could totally see this album getting up there too
this one actually tops the Mortal Coil for me but only very slightly. They are both perfect albums
The Mortal Coil is still their best album easily, but Fatalism is amazing too.
I feel like I need to represent the small group of us who think The Death of Me is their best album
4:08: absolutly... "Parasites" is a 10/10 killer track ❤ Imo best Polaris song ever! This album is excatly what I needed...
Dissipate is the fucking biggest banger I’ve heard in a LONG time dude.

I can definitely hear some Architects in With Regards. Couldn’t agree more with what you’ve already said though.
'Parasites' and 'Dissipate' are neck and neck for me for best song on the album. Can't wait to see them live in a couple of weeks.
Dissipate is definitely a top tier track! Probably one of my favorites from them overall
They should do the unpopular headliner & just the new album front to back. End with Lucid, All of this is Fleeting, & Remedy

3 masterpiece albums for 3. These boys simply do not miss.
Dissipate hit like an anvil omg
I thought the death of me was a great album, but they surpassed it. Incredible stuff. RiP Ryan.
Thank you so much! Dude you are so loved.
this album is incredible
Dissipate and nightmare are my favorite !
AOTY for me. Every single song is a certified banger
the percussions on Aftertouch really made it sound it heavier
For me it's AOTY , Currents was good too but this, this IS a great comeback 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Proud to be an Aussie, absolutely killed it. Good job boys, RIP Ryan 💔

The boys nailed it with this one. Definitely AOTY for me, regardless of what comes out the rest of 2023. RIP Ryan, and welcome back Polaris 🤘
What a fucking year for metalcore man
Album is phenomenal from start to finish, but "The Crossfire" is such an absolute fucking banger

Great album. Wish you all the strength in the world for these tough times, be it now or in the future.
Amazing album, contender for AOTY, « Aftertouch » is one of their best work
This album was insane. The whole damn year has been unreal for core albums in general, I thought invent animate had it locked down early on 😂
They’ve never left the last song as not an absolute banger. WOOOOOOO ☹️☹️😮💨😮💨😮💨🔥🔥🔥
In regards fucking ripped into my soul god damnit man that shit hurted
I thought nothing can top HLB this year for me, but probably thanks to my love for Polaris, after yesterday's first listen, this is currently my AOTY.
I thought this album was meh when I first listened to it... I listened to it recently again for the first time in over a year and I now I love it!
