Hannah, word of advice...if you don't seal the exterior wood it will start to grey again before the end of the season. The place looks awesome. You inspire me to get off my butt!
i think she knows this....right?
absolutely agree. I pressure washed my deck, didn't seal it and it started turning gray and even some green after only a couple of months
She mentioned in a comment on the last video the wood has to completely dry before she can seal it. So yes she does know.
❤️✌🏻

I new fish are so pretty! The outside of your house is coming along great. I can't believe the color change. I have a tip for you if you don't mind. The algae in the pond will come back because the water is exposed to light but if you plant some pond lilly pads they will help provide shade and cover for the fish from birds. Love seeing you back in the house and I'm really looking forward to seeing the cabins again ❤
I was going to say about pond plants too. The sooner the better to provide cover for the fish and for the pond health.
Great advise ya'll!
You could also put up a couple of poles with yarn or paper streamers coming off of them, this distracts the birds, kinda like a scarecrow
Such a great tip!
I like Steve! He’s cute and so sweet to help you. I hope you show the cabins more we miss them.
Please point to one single moment in this video where Steve was likable or "sweet", where he supported, complimented or focused on Hannah. And he had the gall to call Hannah snarky. Come on! We have to stop attributing qualities to these men who do nothing to deserve it.
@@chicky6three if my friend called me snarky I’d laugh. Do you have friends that will come over and help you work for an entire week? He power washed the top of the house for her. He cooked, he helped her build, he was making her laugh so I saw what I saw and you saw the bitterness you saw. Haven’t you had a guy flirt with you by saying something stupid to be funny? You probably bit his head off. Are you jealous of Steve?
@@chicky6three Where is your sense of humour? He literally came to spend a week and help Hannah, which he did a lot. He was not really comfortable with being on camera. He is a great friend! Do you even know what that is?
@@chicky6three The eff are you on?
@chicky6three all I can do is laugh at you for how stupid your comment is.😂😂😂😂
OMG Steve is so adorable! I just loved him. Also please tell him he is very camera friendly. I’m glad you had some help for a change. thanks for sharing your life with us😀
Watch out because chicky6three will attack you for saying Steve is adorable. I think there is a hint of jealousy of the guy. Very strange but I agree with you Terry, he was a cutie.
put caves/ hideaways and aquatic plants in the pond so the fish can hide and aren't as exposed or visible to predators.
Also, fun fact about those invasive lady beetles, they were brought from Asia as an aphid control solution (because the native lady bugs eat aphids) but it turns out the asian varieties don't actually eat aphids like their American lookalikes, so not only are they doing nothing for farmers to control pests, but they've become a serious pest themselves.
I was thinking maybe a screen over top?
I'm just saying, the iPhone worked like a charm‐ it's the content, not the camera that matters.
I just love when Hannah has visitors, she just lights up so much when she has loved ones around. Also make sure to seal the wood after you're all done pressure washing! It looks SO good :D
Small idea for the pond and keeping the fish alive. Maybe add some pieces of driftwood or something weighted down to the bottom of the pond to give them more places to hide or seek shelter from predators. That way they have a higher chance of survival.
Good thought. I've seen people build super simple hides by placing two skinny rocks some distance apart, then laying a flat rock over the top. If the flat rock peeks up over the surface, it makes a sunning spot for turtles, but of not, it makes a nice place for the fish to tuck under either way.
Mink will still get them they are very good underwater swimmers they will literally dive down and gather prey in and on riverbanks and waterways. The only reason why I know this is my great grandfather owned a mink ranch for sixty years.
Add some greenery for them to hide in.
Sounds like mink are pretty clever swimming predators. Would building a fence around the pond area help keep them out? I am worried that these poor fishies will perish too.
Those Asian Beatles are nasty! They have know predators and the smell and leave little poo trails on walls and they bite!
It’s good to wear a mask when pressure washing so you’re not inhaling the aerosolized dirt and mold. The house is looking great.
I came to the comments to say the same thing. :)
That could be why her eyes were swollen up. Or from those damn Japanese Beetles! Same happened to me when I worked at an animal shelter and we did a huge Spring clean during their high season! That n all the TONS of extra CAT fluff n dander flying around which I m not USually allergic to but all that combined! BIG time allergies! YEAH! The whites of MY eyes were so thickened and red n itchy I could barely drive down the road aways to the pharmacy to get eye wash/ drops etc! Nasty lil critters!
i would totally plant lilly pads, will help protect your fishies from flying predators specifically!
I don't know what it is about pressure washing that's so incredibly satisfying to watch! It's a very soothing and gentle wake up for me this morning thank you!
I’m Canadian and I KNEW Steve was Canadian before you told us in the video. Toooo cute 🤍
Same!
Oh Hannah! Steve is adorable! Can we keep him?
He looks like a young James Spader 😍
Now I’m just sitting in my van saying “a box of biscuits, a box of mixed biscuits, and a biscuit mixer” over and over. I’m gonna be saying this all day, lol.
😂
Same me riding my bicycle in Berlin. :)
Haha same I am determined to get it down 😂
You two are adorable. I don’t normally comment on your videos, but I hope we see Steve again!
I like Steve!!! Work is Hannah's first language;))
I love when Sunday starts off with a video from you!
well - Steve is LOVELY. Glad you had help doing some project this week. ☺
What are you talking about?? He was rude and caustic to Hannah at every turn. Steve appears to be a legit asshole.
@@chicky6threedo you have a thing for Hannah because your words are a bit strange against her friend. She wouldn’t have filmed him if she didn’t like him. You need to chill out.
@@chicky6three from my pov he’s the exact kind of sarcastic personality type Hannah would get on great with. She ain’t no dummy, dummy!
@@chicky6threestop projecting your men issues on the internet
Love your pond Hannah. Just a note, you shouldn't really handle the fish when you put them in the pond. It can stress them out. Just float the bag in the pond open the top of the bag and let them swim out in their own time .
You have a great friend in Steve. He is so easy going and not afraid to jump in to help you with your place. The house looks great! I do hope you seal it so it won't fade back to how it looked before. So nice to see fish back in the pond. Pond plants would help a lot.
The weather here in northern Ireland the last few days has been misty, rainy and cosy, feels like autumn in a surprisingly delightful way. I'm so excited for summer but this brief, cosy autumnal weather feels so nice. I've been listening to my favourite moody songs and knitting. So happy to see a new video from you as always.
It’s been the same in northern Arkansas but we’re always a mixed bag here. I love Ireland! I visited once and would definitely visit again. Really lovely people and place❤️
@@arthurshat7793 I'm so glad you had a great time here 😊
I have dreamed for years to be in Ireland and Scotland for an extended stay. I've never been and probably won't want to leave lol
@@timmymendenhall1275 as someone who has lived their whole life in Ireland and spent a lot of time in Scotland, I can say I doubt it will disappoint. Both places are gorgeous and have such a deep history to them. I hope you get to visit someday.
dude, steve is the james spader of this age. i do enjoy these chill sundays with you, young lady. thanks
Yeh for Canadian Steve❤🇨🇦
Hannah regarding the camera and focus. There are tools built in to most devices to help you determine what is in focus. Hope this will help :)
Focus peaking, is the most common one. It will show you areas of high local contrast. Which basically only can exist when stuff is in focus.
Punch in magnification is also common. One usually find it in the camera menus then use the joystick to move around were in the image you punch in.
There is a technic called Hyperfocal distance, which can be used for getting stuff in focus. It depends on what camera and lens you are using. Let's say that you using an Sony ZV-E1 and a 24mm lens, If you put the lens to f/16 and focus on object 4 feet in front. Everything from 2 feet to infinity will be in focus. There are tables and calculators on the web for different camera sensor sizes and focal lengths.
Love to see the power washing, Hannah. very satisfying and calming :) and yay the fish are back!
also has anyone ever told Steve that he looks like young James Spader?
Oh, that's who he reminds me of! Thanks lol
Great video as always, welcome Steve, a great addition x x
pond plants work so the fish can hide from predators, we also built little rock caves, which is really helpful!
OMG, Steve!!! 🥰🤪 Looks like a young James Spader. 🔥
Keep deer or bird netting over the pond at night and early morning and that will protect the fish from the mink. Also, it would help if you had a seed starting mix and not a potting mix to start seeds.
I don't ever use seed starting mix and have pretty much 90-100% germination. Lots of gardeners I watch use regular pottingmix.
Oh I miss your cabins. ❤❤ Love them! Steve was a fun guy to watch.
Steve is adorable and so sweet!
Steve has such a good energy. You both Seem like a good match for each other. Nice guy…and fun.
I think there are Otter repellant (ultra sound) motion sensor devices you could set up near the pond. It is nice of Steve to help you out with the projects. It is fun working as a team. Nice to see the cabins again, they look okay.
He’s talented and handsome. 👍🏻👍🏻Life is meant for two. Even if just friends but life in general is so much easier with two, divid and conquer.
Hej Hannah, add something floating plants, like waterlily, to the pond. The fish can hide underneath them.
Oh my God Steve is a very good accessory to your video, I like how good he looks in your house. He looks like he's about to build all the furniture for the house Amish style.
Your videos have become my favorite Sunday morning routine 🫶🏼
The house colour looks so beautiful with the pressure washing. Your fish are so pretty. You guys did a great build job on the table/bench. Steve is such a good friend to help you with your chores and build project. Hope we see more of him.
She is always a busy woman❤🇨🇦
I didn't want it to be over! Want to see the cabins and see Steve's reaction. Know he will love them!! New fish are pretty! 😊
Maybe you could add some type of netting over the pond? I’ve seen my aunt do that for hers when she had a coy fish pond seemed to work pretty well! Also adding more plants to let them hide better plus it makes it look even more pretty 😍🌱
Good Morning Hannah and Steve from Canada!
Cheers from Hamilton, ON Canada
Enjoy your day, luv ❤️
I'm literally laying down adhesive to lay down flooring currently while watching this video. You give me so much confidence to learn how to do things myself!
I so enjoyed Steve. He's hilarious and he sings like you too. I don't understand. If he's Canadian, why does he need that big ol blanket.
As a person with a pond who lives in an area with many raccoons, it's super helpful to make little hiding areas out of rocks for the fish to hide in when predators come. Also, lots of algae will continue to grow in the pond, unless you add some plants to create shade. Anyways, love your videos and all your projects!
I enjoy seeing you prepare and eat food other than spaghetti. I'm a grandma. We like to see people eating good food. 😂😉
Hannah, please wash the deck also. If its slippery, your ladder could shoot out from under you. Love the new fish!! Steves a doll, how is Trek? Miss him.
KEEP STEVE DO NOT LET HIM GO!
Sunday stop at Hannah's. A priority visit always. ❤
Haha! I love him, and i love how he was trying to teach you the back and forth language of terrence and Phillip from South Park. Especially because they are Canadian. Haha! Please learn it so yoi can do it with him next time he starts it up. 😂 Me and my husband do it any time we hear someone call someone pal, buddy or friend. Rarely hear someone call someone else guy...but we're ready when they do. 😂
You hit that 1 millie , congrats girl 😎😍👌
I love Steve's vibe, he seems funny and really nice💖💖💖
Hannah for the Koi pond, you may want to get some large live plants in pots to put into the inside of the pond as places to hide from prey, or maybe build some more rocky cave like areas in the pond to hide from prey. Hope they make it! and the House and yard is looking great!!
You are so comforting. Thank You. I like being by myself also. But we are not alone!
Your mice and their little house ae so cute!
A lot of animals live in dead wood so if you want to help biosiversity but still clean up your garden, move the dead wood into a more wild part of your garden or someplace "out of the way". Near the pond would have been nice! 😊 it hurts my heart seeing him chop it up 😅
I really enjoy you sharing your world ! It's beautiful.
If you can find a little water fountain that pumps water from the bottom of the pond, you could create a mini upwelling system that is used in lakes to keep mixing the water column. It helps prevent stratification, deoxygenation and helps cycle the nutrients. Mostly for you, it could help prevent algal growth from taking over! Algae is good in small amounts, but mixing the water and shading the pond a bit can help prevent them from dominating :)
Steve looks like a young James Spader, think J.S. in Pretty in Pink. Too cute! I love yard work vlogs❤
Totally agree
A guy who kisses a fish ….is a keeper ….💋😘🐟
The house looks a amazing! Love the workbench! You have such good friends & you always show them new ways in having fun!😊❤
How looks amazing!
Okay never thought Id see someone balance a 2x4 on their chin but that was impressive😂👏
Power wash your stairs as well. They get slippery as they get dirty.
I love your videos so much!
Lots of cool stuff this week! House looks great! Steve is a nice guy. You have my dream life.
I love that your live language is DOING stuff together! 🥰
The house is looking so good! Put some kind of sealer on it when you’re done to keep it looking great!
Your house is looking so good!
hannah, he defintely is your type!!
I thought this too 😊❤
I know you don't really do these videos anymore, but if you *were* to do a lil closet tour of your clothes I'd be interested! Your style is so cute and functional, I aspire.
some really awesome shots were captured! Fun seeing you try out the new camera - even if it's a bit of a pain at first :) It captures the aesthetic of your home so nicely.
House is looking good hun doing a great job love the videos

I love you Hannah!!!!! I am so happy that I have you this way in my life ❤
Steve is adorable.
I love your home. You are taking such good care of it from what I see
Insanely satisfying watching you pressure wash your house! And what a huge difference its made! Put some thibgs in your pond for the fish to hide under, plants, logs, rocks etc
Hey Hannah. Love you and your content soooo much. Love from South Africa ❤❤
First comment ever watched for ever. All the young men you have ever had in your videos are great friends helpful and playful and most are cute. Couldn't ask for more.
I hate when the video ends! 😂 I could watch all day long!
Your life you’ve built is so beautiful!
Fun video this week, happy to see you had help and good company 🎉
Hi Hannah, since I'm literally just figuring out how to properly use my camera (after years of owning and barely using it 🙈) I highly recommend getting familiar with the exposure triangle. Once you understand that and play around with it, it'll be so much easier to shoot. There's tons of helpful videos and articles about it 😊
Darn!! He's Incredible cute!!
I am really enjoying the camera setup. It feels more inclusive, like being there with you instead of just being a viewer. Genuinely look forward to and enjoy your videos so much. You have such entertaining and useful content.
I had a 6k sqft log home and started to nearly make the same mistake after about 8or10 yrs after we d had it built, to TRY to pressure hose off the grey. I only did a small patch but luckily quickly realized that insects like the big wood -boring bees were already drilling into the logs again that I d cleaned! + it was rapidly going gray again anyway too. I could nt afford the huge amount of new sealant / paint it would ve taken to reseal and paint the whole place again nor to pay for professionals to re~do it for me so I ultimately but really sadly had to put the place up for sale.
Also a word of warning to you about planting ANY plants right up against ANY home but especially a wooden one as they will not only cause damp and rot in and out of the house but also attract termites and other insects and pests etc to shelter there or enter your house. Also as you may have to give them extra water right there by your foundations too that wont help at all and some tree or bush roots can even find their way into your drain pipes or concrete or stone foundations causing other structural issues, so beWARE! Any home Inspector or Pest Control Co would also hold their hands up in horror and advise you not to do that too. Any creepers like Ivy and especially Wisteria, ( however gorgeously pretty and scented etc.!..I KNOW I could hardly resist either!😉!) can quickly grow so fast and woody and can literally even pull buildings DOWN!😳 I agree scented flowering things like that are so gorgeous tho it's very tempting! but also Honeysuckle is mega invasive and will not only do the same as those other climbers but it ll also very quickly, within one Season, strangle any other nice plants you have near it too. The wild stuff takes over whole forests and is super invasive and many sorts are even banned for sale in Garden Centers etc for that very reason! I found out these problems myself from foolish romantic experience too! 😘🙂
Cabins! I have missed those!
