Don’t get me wrong, he could still excel with it, if he’d started training it about 5-10 years ago. But by now I think trying to adapt to Tyson’s style of fighting is probably just going to make him worse.

If anything it shows the opposite to what you are saying - the monster that Mike was, both as a teen and after he became champ was almost certainly much more a product of his environment (going from abject poverty with an alcoholic mother - and himself abusing alcohol and other drugs from a young age, then going almost straight from that to being champion of the world, losing his father figure in the midst of that and being entirely surrounded by yes men) than his genetic makeup. The fact that he was able to break free of those destructive cycles speaks much louder about his true character IMO.

Cus passed down some of the greatest lessons to Mike since he was a pup to mould a champion. If anyone can help Francis to have a chance, it’s Mike who also has ferocious power like Francis. The important thing is breaking down the opportunities Francis would likely have against Fury, then training for those using what Francis already possesses.
The illusive movements, the fundamentals, etc. are gonna take a very long time but for this fight it’s gonna be about how to adjust I.e footwork, movements, feints, combos with what Francis already has to land that knockout blow.

I don't see Francis winning this, but he's going to put up a great fight regardless. I mean this is boxing, one lucky shot could change the outcome no matter if you're named Tyson, Fury or Ali or whatever, but still, it's called lucky shot for a reason... and while Fury most likely doesn't need it, Ngannou most likely does.
As Tyson said himself, he's just not used to boxing only.
Still a great sport and a great man, wish him the best of the best!

If Francis can put some of the Tyson peekaboo/hard counter punch style to work, then Fury is going to have problems. I don't think Francis has the experience to beat Fury but he'll make a fight of it and has the power to upset it with one punch. Fury has a hell of a chin, having got up from a Wilder knockout but Francis hits even harder and has Guinness world record to prove it.

I think it will make it better if he wins though. Dude is counted out every time and he succeeds and don't get smug about it just takes care of his family and does whatever his next goal is. If he beat the odds and got a win over fury would be legendary I mean what are the odds of ever seeing a fighter that is linear champ in both the biggest mma and boxing organizations. I think he can do it he has hardly any ego I mean what other fighter of his status would just keep quiet and be the student he didn't say one thing just listens to Mike.

I love this whole thing! Big Mike, Fury and Francis are phenomenal, they are all freaks of nature and have unique personalities and destinies. Fury got his name frome Tyson, Francis' dream started watching Tyson in a lost area of Cameroon and is now living his dream: fighting the boxing champion of the world with Mike Tyson on his side, this is one the greatest stories ever. Looking at Mike's excitement is so satisfying.
I want to believe in Francis, he pulled so many miracles already to get there, he can KO anybody...but Fury isn't anybody and he already he could get up like a living-dead.
I know it would take a miracle for Francis to rise his boxing technics in such short time but Fury will have to be very careful, so much power from Francis!
