i got one for christmas and i am looooving it, i just can't get my bangs right yet. i get them to a wearable state but not the way i want them. hopefully i get it down soon. love how yours turned out!
About a month ago I bought a L'Ange brush dryer. I like it but it gets hotter even on the low setting. I'd prefer that it didn't, but I like using it more than using a round brush and blow dryer. I do rough dry my hair with the blow dryer before using the brush dryer.
Ah yes, I know exactly what you mean. some of the brands don't regulate temperature well and we are left to wonder if we're burning our hair. haha. eek!!!
Ok, funny thing. I’ve had this brush for almost 10 years and I’m always tickled when it suddenly reappears as a new vital gadget. In fact, I bought it for that very reason, it was the hottest thing on the market at the time. Anyhow, so had no idea how to use it so one of the children I was tutoring at the time suggested youtube for helping him with math😂😂 (kids are so funny), so i figured if youtube could help me help fourth graders with “new math” surely it might have something for this new gadget. Well that was my introduction to the beauty community on youtube. I loved this tool to smooth my hair and give it that blow out look. Like you, i’m hair challenged so my beloved airwrap and other tools are life savers! Now fast forward years later and I have the airwrap, a ghd rise, and a plethora of other tools, how would you say this is different from using the round brush attachment on the airwrap or the ghd rise? Anyhow, I think I’m going to pull this out today and see if it still holds the same magic. Also, it has always had those red and green lights and I never thought there was as a real difference between them. From one hair challenged person to another, GREAT JOB!!!! Instant funny that hair challenged folks have the MOST tools???!!!
I always tell you, Tracie, you ARE my people!! Haha. We are SO the same. And the hair challenged always have the most hair gadgets because we are waiting for the ONE that helps us feel LESS hair challenged, right? haha. OK. So......the airwrap is loud AND needs either wet or dampened hair, which is a pain if your hair is dry and third day, etc. The Rise has kind of nubbly little "bristles" that do not grip the hair as well as the Amika. This one, and I realize you know this since you own it, is truly like a ceramic round brush but you don't need a blow dryer.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I’m still waiting on the ONE tool that will turn me into to a hair guru. Ok, maybe not a guru but T least less hair challenged. I actually used the Rise today. While it surely has a purpose, it’s probably not the best tool for me. It will smooth my hair out very well but I had a hard time using it to add curls. It doesn’t grip as much as the Amika, which I need. I’m starting to wonder who the Rise is geared to and why I even purchased it🤣Now, I do use my Airwrap on dry hair often to either smooth out my hair when it’s frizzy. I’m in VA so even in the cooler months, it’s very humid! I also use it after working out on the cool setting to remove moisture from my hair. I have curly hair that I wear blown out so humidity and moisture are not my best friends🤣 It works well for that. OR I use the Airstrait on next day to smooth out but depending on my mood or my hair’s mood, I will still grab my Corrale or another of my 10 billion hair tools to add volume. The struggle is real for us hair challenged folks.
@@traciewarren1070 first of all, you have got to tell me how you organize your hair tools because right now, let me tell you it is such a mess. I keep the air wrap in its box but the others are under my sink and I try to wrap the cords around them which you’re not really supposed to do actually, but then when I pull out one it ends up pulling out three others with it and I’ve got to figure it out. Like I’m wondering if each one should be in its own giant Ziploc type bag. Like I bet on Amazon they have really huge Ziploc bags maybe? I’m trying to figure it out because it really is a pain and sometimes I don’t reach for some of them because I know it’s a whole landslide that happens and it’s really annoying me. So we have to kind of figure out some storage tips. as for the rise, I have no idea who it’s for. The little bristles are way too short to grip hair. It doesn’t make any curls. Yes, it definitely does smooth but not well enough. It’s just kind of jack of all trades and literally master of absolutely none.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Ok I’ll start with the rise. I agree, it serves no purpose at least for our hair. Maybe it’s designed for folks with shorter, more fine, non-textured hair. If someone has hair beyond their ears, this literally does nothing and if someone has a lot of hair or it’s thick, even more nothing. I’m certainly not trying to bash GHD because I LOVE their products. I’m so sorry that I didn’t list it. I think by the time I filmed that video I was grabbing a bunch of products that I left out but it’s mainly the Tom Ford aura lip gloss. And I believe that is a melt lip liner underneath cinnamon.
Riddle me this: You always say you aren’t good at hair, and yet your hair always looks great! Hmmmm…?😂 Ooohh! I love something that can refresh hair! I have long hair, and I wash every 4-5 days. I sometimes refresh with my Air Wrap. I spritz a section with water and then Airwrap it. But…you have to get it damp enough. When you don’t it doesn’t last through the day. It looks great initially, but then it just falls out. So it’s a bit of a gamble. I usually don’t bother. This is a sure thing! I am so with you on the Oribe products. The texturizing spray is the best. I even like the new dry shampoo that’s in a lavender colored shaker more than the spray dry shampoo. There’s a bit of a learning curve to using it because it’s a powder, not a spray, but it works for 2 days minimum.
Lisa, you are TOO kind but you know of my Dyson struggles as you are the Dyson Whisperer!!! YES, exactly....the Dyson wins BUT BUT BUT not on day three, four, etc. I hate having to rewet it, etc. The Dyson is best of newly washed, damp hair. Period. I have used the curling wand on dry hair and it WORKS but.....as you say, doesn't hold. So this is now my go to for getting ONE MORE DAY out of my hair!
Good evening 🌃 Rebecca I liked your intro lol 😂 cute I like Amika products not everything... I always like CHI control temp ones or Babyliss Pro is alright as well or Helen of Troy yes I used to do hair back in the day before I got worse with my heart ♥ issues back in my early 20's... 💇♀️ I hate Dyson cause it actually damages hair or unless you have very thick hair type .... but it does damage hair cause too strong of blow ... you're just paying for the high end brand ... but I can't use one anyways cause I have a pacemaker ❤
Hello Tonya! Ah, you are a hairdresser by trade so you dislike Dyson. In my experience, all hairdressers dislike Dyson because you are too good with the regular tools to need something like a Dyson
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yes I was a cosmetologist way back when but NO I don't like the Dyson cause one it's too heavy , two cause I have a pacemaker cause of the electromagnetic in them plus it has magnets for the tops besides that it also damages thin and fine curly or wavy hair textures ... that's why plus the price is crazy 🤪 stupid it's the brand ... too much hair blow that shouldn't be there that's why they also took out dryson hand dryers cause it damages our skin type plus you're taken off the good viruses that we need to survive well its the same as your scalp with the hair dryer ...
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you! So that’s not super hot. My hair is thin and fine and my ends are very damaged so too much heat just snaps my hair off.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t list it. I think by the time I filmed that video I was grabbing a bunch of products that I left out but it’s mainly the Tom Ford aura lip gloss. And I believe that is a melt lip liner underneath cinnamon.
Love ❤ your olive🫒 green sweatshirt sweater shirt brings out your olive🫒 green eyes 👀
Thank you so so much, Tonya! That is so nice of you!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty sure why not itstrue my friend you deserve it 💕🙋♀️
Riddle me this: You always say you aren’t good at hair, and yet your hair always looks great! Hmmmm…?😂
Ooohh!
Looks good like it on ya ! 😘
❤️❤️❤️
TOTALLY off subject but what’s your nail color? Grabbed my attention haha 😂 Lovely shade!
Oh THANK YOU! It's an OPI orange. I need to check which one.
Hm, I’m really interested in this!
I could not resist. You KNOW I love a good hair gadget.
Wish it came in a 1 in.
Oh GOOD point. I wonder if competitors make it in a one inch.
BOUNCY HAIR ❤
Boing!!!!
@@NotFitforPrintBeautylike Princess Catherine - that sort of bouncy healthy hair look
@@MsBNoodle that’s correct. I hadn’t thought of that. Too funny and true!
How hot does it get?
356 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 Celsius 💕
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you! So that’s not super hot. My hair is thin and fine and my ends are very damaged so too much heat just snaps my hair off.
