Working on my daughter's album right now. I make her beats. We're 3 songs in and wondered if we should make them singles. This made me want to go the album route. Love this journey of making this album
If for nothing else, do it for the creative experience. Singles are a great tool, but they’re only that: a tool. There is nothing like piecing together a full “line” of work. Like a fashion show. A designer doesn’t only put out a single dress every now and then. They do a whole line. Each a uniquely designed piece but somehow still fitting together cohesively. That’s the way I see my music. As a fashion designer making a line. My singles are the dresses. The album is my clothing line. Gotta have the line!
That’s cool that you and your daughter is making an album. I would like to hear your guy’s work some time. Things like this keeps me inspired, keep it up.
46 seconds in and I'm already inspired to continue working on my album. I keep switching between single and album mentality because of outside influences. However, an album just feels more complete and wholesome. It's a journey and an experience in itself and you kinda grow with the album and learn. It truly is a beautiful thing if you think about it. You just helped me decide what to do. Thanks and good luck on your album. Can't wait to hear it!
This right here is EXACTLY why I wanted to do this series! So it’s proving to be a good decision. Not only does it make me accountable to finish it but also sharing the experience to inspire those or help those other artists like you decide which to do. Because while I do understand the benefits of dropping singles (less overall work, more frequent releases, build hype etc etc), there’s just nothing like making a FULL work of art to represent who you are and WHERE you are in life at that moment. You need the singles (the movie trailers) but you also need the movie!!!

Even I am getting back to making a full album as I haven't done that since 2012. I've had smaller EPs come out but nothing full.

I have an issue: I will start on an album but get bored of it quickly and then go an start making another album. It is like I can't follow through with my ideas.
Take all the songs you’ve made for all these different albums and put them together to complete the album: problem solved. Now if none of these songs are finished then you have a big problem similar to mine 😂 but finishing songs should always come natural. Never forced
So the whole album is a concept from the perspective of feminine morality they just don't care during the Victorian era and industrial revolution.. I wrote it in university and should have it somewhere it's tragic comedy progressive rock of 7 songs and I didn't get it... they don't like it and they say its the best... its poorly produced with no amp cheap ibanez through a rme thing with electronic drummer and a cheap mic... its hilarious for 5 songs with 2 tragic endings.. I rushed it out and even played it live mandatory...it was a independent project for a psychology of aesthetics course where we focus on lacanian psychology and van gogh, the nature of art how it emerges as a product .
Slapping “gospel” on something doesn’t automatically sanctify it. This album is not going to be songs about praising god. It’s about life. Is living a full life not of god? Why am I not allowed to talk about life in song? If that is the case, why are we allowed to speak about life at all? Everything that comes out of our mouth should be “glory to god” because if not then it isn’t going to last and it glorifying satan, right? How does this work? I know how it does, I’m the son of a pastor. Me writing a song about my monogamous relationship or literally a song about manifesting Good things in your life (something even we Christian’s constantly push), this isn’t glorifying God? I don’t get it. I really don’t get it.
Because this “fool” has asthma. A crippling lung disease which leaves me vulnerable to… *respiratory viruses* like the one running ramped on planet earth right now. I can and almost have died from COVID. Twice. That’s why I have a mask on my chin.
I don’t think you TH-camrs understand that if you’re making a How To video about music, we want some straight to the point kind of stuff, do you even realize how many videos there are about making music and using different gear, and how many of them just waste your time without hardly ever teaching you anything? And all of a sudden you fall on one video that has like 10 things to learn per minute, and you get angry at all the others for wasting your precious time
I don’t think you viewers understand that if you’re making 39 million how-to videos per year that people ignore 90% of the time, or the algorithm doesn’t decide to show you, and all 39 million of these other how-to videos posted have straight to the point kind of stuff. If you look at my curated playlists, my highest viewed videos… If you took a look at literally anything on my channel besides this video, your’d see that I have made and continue to make straight to the point tutorials. I made one literally last week. Where were you? Where have you been? This is why you can’t skip uploads. Every video is not going to be a sit down talk tutorial: I am a creative. I must create how I DESIRE IN MY gallery. You chose to be here my friend. I appreciate your time. But if you don’t like the show, change the channel. You’re wasting your own time.
@@IAMLXGEND Nah thats the point, nobody is doing straight to the point kind of stuff, it's all spoon fed content to make you buy something. Every time you search something on Google you fall on a TH-camr that doesn't explain what he's saying in the title, kinda sucks.. There's so many good information out there, spoiled by people trying to get in the algorythm who know more about business and marketing than what they are teaching, and all that matters is making them sales, kinda lame.. But you're right, it's your channel and you decide, and freedom of speech is awesome, and my comment wouldv'e been more pertinent on another channel like that Ben Rowland guy or whaterver, anyway I'm sorry.
Aka: if you haven’t finished it yet ur either putting it off urself or it’s just not time to finish yet
@@IAMLXGEND thanks
I made an album for fun, I’m wondering if I should do professional music

Glory be to Lord Jesus! Hallelujah!
I'm jaylen miller I'm trying to be an singer myself new singer name: jay freaky. I am trying to make albums for new fans and songs
Hey if anyone needs beats, or mixing/mastering, please hit me up.
Look at what they did to Koji now…
Yea, they sold to linktree
Hope it’s gospel album we can’t serve two Gods
I serve one God.
No, it’s not gospel.
☀️
@@IAMLXGEND what you do for Christ is the only thing that’s going to last brother.
Exactly. That’s why this is going to last.
@@IAMLXGEND This right here 💯🙏🏾
why this fool have a mask on his chin?
Peace!
I will love working with u LXGEND Personally
How so? What did you have in mind?
