Id love to eventually go back now that i have better camera gear and more experience to make a updated higher quality version of this video. Im glad you enjoyed it ^^
Its a nice area! Cute and popular with the slightly upper class tourists haha. Good hotels and cafes. Pleasure be sure to enjoy alot of the island ☺️ I love visiting the small rural towns too. Visiting a local pub in a small town can give delicious good and good company. Enjoy your trip 😊 I'm happy to recommend some places of you're looking for something specific! Thanks for checking out my video.
My pleasure, I'm glad you liked it 😊 I want to start making more videos in this style but in Korea soon (and a bit more professional now that I've got better gear).
Good video m8.that was my home town in the 80s then i moved to the Highlands of Scotland when i was 9.i miss it down there sumtimes so good to see a video on it👌
Thank you! It was my first video since starting the vlogging stuff, so I'm really glad it's decent enough that some random people can enjoy it and not only my friends. The island is a nice place, its great to visit and great to retire to. But It's really hard to seriously live there as an average person :/ I've been mostly unemployed since the pandemic and it's hard to find any jobs that even pay as much as benefits, especially when I'm trying so hard to leave the uk. I will make the most of it until I can leave though.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video c: It was about 25 years before I was born, but according to Google it was a place called Afton down c: There's definitely lots of historical sites to visit here!
I visited the island in september 21. It was lovely but i missed their being no weekly farmers market like there was a few years ago. I'm not sure if it was because of covid, but I hope the market comes back again because it was such a great atmosphere. Also the market in Newport.
I believe it was stopped due to a mixture of covid and money, at least the one in Ryde. I don't know about Newport, but there is one is havenstreet once a month still. (Last time I checked). I now live in Korea, but I can still find out for you if you want to know what markets are still around c:
@@KairuinKorea Thanks for replying .Next time I visit I will try Havenstreet. My daughter and grandchildren just moved to Ryde yesterday so I hope to visit more than every couple of years !. Good Luck with your new life in Korea or wherever you go next.
Honestly mate, I doubt you'll get in any trouble what so ever. It's a very relaxed place, and when I was younger I occasionally saw people with them. Have fun! c: I'm pretty certain you wont get in trouble, but if the police or anyone approaches just be friendly and polite I doubt there will be any issues. Glad you enjoyed the video ^^
Thanks for the vid, I’m from London and I’m really looking forward to getting the hovercraft across & visiting Ryde…I’m in my late 40’s and going on or even seeing a hovercraft has been something I’ve wanted to do since I was little! Anyway, every new place I go I like to collect a fridge magnet, it would be great if they have one with a hovercraft on that says Isle of Wight on…ever seen one? I’m often disappointed with tourists destination magnets as many are just cheaply made (like those clear plastic frames with a photo inside, those are awful, but fingers crossed the IOW has a better selection🤞🏼I’ll be bringing my kids & I’m sure they’ll love Ryde beach🏖😀I thought your video review was cool…although it ended very abruptly, I could have watched a lot more👍🏼thank you & take care.
No problem! I'm glad you enjoyed it, especially since it was my first video since restarting my channel c: We always complain the hovercraft is a rip off, but to be fair, it is alot of fun and definitely worth it as a 'tourist' experience, just not for regular commuters unless you're super rich and you value speed above all else. I'm certain you can absolutely find a hovercraft fridge magnet somewhere in Ryde! Quite possibly even at the hovercraft terminal itself xD There is also a decent isle of wight gift and sweets shop on the sea front. I'm sure if you ask some of the locals, they are all very friendly and you'll manage to find something c: (I ended it becuse originally it had a section on wildlife etc but the viewer retention absolutely plummetted and 90% of people didn't want to see it ^^" It also had a give away of local sweets but my channel is so small nobody responded so I deleted the end of the video). If you want a tip while you're here, check out the pub in newport called the bargemans rest. best pub on the island. And the fish and chip shop 'Wights' on the high street near the cinema. Enjoy your trip! c:
@@KairuinKorea cheers for the reply, you’re right, they do sell the hovercraft magnets in the terminal👍🏼I don’t doubt it is a rip off but it’s a one off so I don’t mind, it’s actually our wedding anniversary the day I’ve booked…we both totally forgot & only just realised😆still, trip to the IOW a great way to celebrate! Personally I love a bit of wildlife, but TH-cam is a strange place, people only want you to stay on the subject at hand…but surely wildlife on the island is all part of the review of shows the make up of the place itself🤷🏼♂️the attention span of people on social media always shocks me, apparently on Tik Tok if people ain’t hooked within 4 seconds they swipe away! Unreal!! Anyway, good luck with the channel & thanks again for the reply👍🏼
I think you'll find that's a matter of perspective. Not everyone identifies as 'english', 'scottish' or 'welsh' alot of people just identify as British.
thank you really enjoyed this look at Ryde

Been coming since I was a baby. Try to get over a few times a year. And always the walk up to seaview, my favourite 😎 and I miss the dotto train!

Great video..! Really sparked my internet in visiting. I love visiting historical sights, do yo know the location of the 1970 Isle of Wight festival?

The Isle of Wight isn't British. It's quintessentially English.
I think you'll find that's a matter of perspective. Not everyone identifies as 'english', 'scottish' or 'welsh' alot of people just identify as British.
Callum Piper lol x
That would be my brother, indeed
