It's funny, Ms. Peterson mentions the Islamic argument that women wear the hijab so as not to be judged by their beauty, but most of the women I see in Hijab where I live have absolutely perfected makeup on their face. Flawless complexion, perfect brows, precise and elegant eyeliner, they absolutely project a beautiful countenance, but only so much as the garment allows. Only as much as their religion allows, I guess.

I know an ex-Muslim woman who was studying to be the top female Islamic scholar in Canada. It was during her Masters and Ph.D studies that she came to dig deep into the Quran and the Hadith. As a result she left Islam and has become a Christian. She said that what she learned in her studies was not what she had been told as a child. She could not, in good conscience, adhere to Islam. The sad part is that it took studying for advanced degrees for her to come to this knowledge. The majority of Muslims cannot do this so they will be forever locked into a religion that they think is telling them truth but hides the real truth behind submission and fear.
I heard the same story from an ex-sheikh who converted and gave his testimony in a YT video. Again, it was only late in his education that he was allowed to read texts that simply shocked and disgusted him. He then realised that the standard curriculum taught around the world is sanitised, to remove the bad bits. Without lies, is lam dies.

Those that have heard it might find it troubling but not sufficient to leave Islam. It is not an essential doctrine in Islam. Actually there was a major incident recently in India with a woman political leader (Nupur, I think) who mentioned Aisha's marriage to Muhammad. The uproar from Muslims and Islamic countries was furious. It was not because it isn't true it's because she, a Hindu, dared to mention it. It's one of those embarrassing things that needs to be covered up according to Islam.

Someone I know that is Muslim tells me always that it is the most peaceful religion there is… I think another big reason people don’t run out to criticize Islam is because our culture of today is about inclusiveness and tolerance of our differences (gay pride for example) and if you oppose that you are seen as discriminating and racist or in this case also Islamophobia and narrow minded. It’s about as difficult to speak that as it is to speak up against gay pride and how it’s come into our schools agendas…it started out as trying to teach acceptance and love vs bullying and hate but it went too far…. you missed an important point about the jizya. christians and jews are not allowed to rebuild their churches or build new ones. this is what led to the extinction of other religions in fully islamic countries over the years.
Also the jizyah was a budget buster. Families could not survive paying the protection money and feeding their kids. Eventually they were forced to convert to make ends meet.
Uh jizya maximum rate charged : 1.5%, Muslim zakat starts minimum from 2.5% to max 20%. If you all gonna like , make it at least believable which Muslims can then agree with u. I am so glad to see this episode to clarify and dispel the misconceptions of many that 'the apologist' MH won that debate. The Quran itself is mathematical masterpiece which came through a man who could not read or write. Without a computer no human on Earth can create book with checksum built-in in the book, there is no book on Earth mathematically quantified, let alone a holy book found in 1500 years ago. The pages of Quran were scattered in the community for the course of 23 years, pieces of 114 chapters were revealed piece by pieces and few verses at a time based on the event and conditions were on the ground over the course of 23 years.
After Mohammed(pbuh) death two years later the Quran's pages were collected and compiled into a book. In the process of compiling the Quran into a book, if one were to add or remove a word in the Quran, the Quran's checksum would collapse and if one were to misplace a chapter in a different order then Quran's checksum would collapse. One would need a computer to put the quran in the order it has, and it is only with a computer it was discovered. Before the personal computers nobody knew that Quran has got built-in checksum on it. Apart from built-in checksum in the Quran, the entire Quran is multiplication of 19 and one were to remove just one word out of the Quran, that multiplication of 19 equilibrium would collapses. People can lie about the Quran, but numbers do not lie.
Thirdly Quran has another feature, number of repeated words has profound meanings behind them. 1) Chapter #57 Iron is in the middle of Quran, just as Iron core in the middle of the Earth. Word iron in the Arabic language has got numeric value of 26 same as atomic number for Iron in Periodic table and a phrase "The Iron" numeric value of 57 same as chapter number in the Quran. I’m at the part where you mentioned missing the practice/rituals part of religion. You can still have spiritual beliefs and practices, such as meditation that you mentioned, yoga, being in nature, etc., etc. I see a lot of people go from religious to atheist without realizing you can still believe in a higher power and “more than meets the eye” so to speak (or whatever calls to you), as well as have your own spiritual practices, without being religious. In fact, one way religion really misses the boat is that it teaches us that we’re lowly, worthless sinners who can only be connected to God through religion, and that’s just not true. I believe in a higher power/God, just not the god of religion. The real God that I’m aware of is a much better being compared to the religious “god” and is truly unconditionally loving - more so than we can even comprehend with our human brains.

We all have both light and dark of course, but some have more of one than the other and haven’t mastered their dark sides yet. We’re all just on a journey and each journey has a purpose. I agree with you that nature/cosmos could also be considered god because god is in everything, including us, so yes, in a sense we are god too. That’s actually what Jesus was trying to teach - that he is “God” but so is everyone. He wanted us to find the God within.

I know an ex-Muslim woman who was studying to be the top female Islamic scholar in Canada. It was during her Masters and Ph.D studies that she came to dig deep into the Quran and the Hadith. As a result she left Islam and has become a Christian. She said that what she learned in her studies was not what she had been told as a child. She could not, in good conscience, adhere to Islam. The sad part is that it took studying for advanced degrees for her to come to this knowledge. The majority of Muslims cannot do this so they will be forever locked into a religion that they think is telling them truth but hides the real truth behind submission and fear.
I heard the same story from an ex-sheikh who converted and gave his testimony in a YT video. Again, it was only late in his education that he was allowed to read texts that simply shocked and disgusted him. To me, like Apostate Prophet, it was obvious what Mikhaila thought of the apologist, but I was so surprised to see the comments on that video and how most muslims celebrated his performance and felt he won that debate. The Quran is tangible miracle.
You put aside God, afterlife, theology, salvation to a corner and just look at the Quran itself. The Quran itself is mathematical masterpiece which came through a man who could not read or write.
Without a computer no human on Earth can create book with checksum built-in in the book, there is no book on Earth mathematically quantified, let alone a holy book found in 1500 years ago. The pages of Quran were scattered in the community for the course of 23 years, pieces of 114 chapters were revealed piece by pieces and few verses at a time based on the event and conditions were on the ground over the course of 23 years.
After Mohammed(pbuh) death two years later the Quran's pages were collected and compiled into a book. In the process of compiling the Quran into a book, if one were to add or remove a word in the Quran, the Quran's checksum would collapse and if one were to misplace a chapter in a different order then Quran's checksum would collapse.
One would need a computer to put the quran in the order it has, and it is only with a computer it was discovered. Before the personal computers nobody knew that Quran has got built-in checksum on it. Apart from built-in checksum in the Quran, the entire Quran is multiplication of 19 and one were to remove just one word out of the Quran, that multiplication of 19 equilibrium would collapses. People can lie about the Quran, but numbers do not lie.
Thirdly Quran has another feature, number of repeated words has profound meanings behind them.
1) Chapter #57 Iron is in the middle of Quran, just as Iron core in the middle of the Earth. Word iron in the Arabic language has got numeric value of 26 same as atomic number for Iron in Periodic table and a phrase "The Iron" numeric value of 57 same as chapter number in the Quran. Iron itself is an element came from out of space according to research, just as the Quran tells the Iron was sent down to Earth.
2) Number of times man and woman mentioned in the Quran 23 times, that aligns with number of chromosomes comes from Mother and Father as fetus developed from.
3) Number of times land mentioned is 13 times and sea mentioned 32 times, sum up to 45, now divide 13 by 45 equal to 28.888%, likewise divide 32 by 45 equals to 71.111% and it is percentage of land and see on the globe.
These three are just the tip of the iceberg just has been discovered and they are many more are found. You know Quran says, space and matter were as one unit of creation and they were split with thunder, likewise the Quran tells God will close the space on itself like a BigCrunch and its promise binding on God Himself, thirdly Quran tells God created things in pairs example matter and anti-matter and they are many more like this found in the Quran.
If you choose to deny God and the Quran, it is you free will.

I’m at the part where you mentioned missing the practice/rituals part of religion. You can still have spiritual beliefs and practices, such as meditation that you mentioned, yoga, being in nature, etc., etc. I see a lot of people go from religious to atheist without realizing you can still believe in a higher power and “more than meets the eye” so to speak (or whatever calls to you), as well as have your own spiritual practices, without being religious. In fact, one way religion really misses the boat is that it teaches us that we’re lowly, worthless sinners who can only be connected to God through religion, and that’s just not true. I believe in a higher power/God, just not the god of religion. The real God that I’m aware of is a much better being compared to the religious “god” and is truly unconditionally loving - more so than we can even comprehend with our human brains.
Umm, I think such a god (an unbiased all embracing god as you described) is nature/cosmos, of which we are well a part of and hence makes each of us (you, me and everyone else… and everything else - every insect, plant, animal, non living objects) as much godly as the other cosmic elements
Suggestion - you could try reading on Advaita. It’s non-dualistic or a-dualistic hindu philosophy. It’s quite intense, realistic and interesting :) And hopefully it can give you some perspective on your need to feel the oneness with nature, cosmos, with everything
One of the fundamental flaws of abrahamic faiths is their dual nature which made God an external, judging, biased character. Secondly the abrahamic faiths had the impudence to declare themselves as the one and only way. Such rigidness is what is making them crumble too
As a Hindu who grew up in a Hindu society, the above two points were so shocking and repulsive to me that I couldn’t believe myself when I read the abrahamic books for the first time
Of course they were useful enough to unite people at one point but uniting a group only to be against the others doesn’t stand the test of time as we can see
@@Gdotdot090 I have two friends and one family member (my grandfather) who experienced what’s known as a near death experience (NDE) in which they briefly died - one at the scene of a car crash, the other during a cardiac event and my grandfather died from an asthma attack, but they were all revived and came back to tell of the experience they had when they left their bodies. For years, I’ve been listening to NDE accounts and studying the literature - Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Raymond Moody and Dr. Eben Alexander (who had an NDE himself and was an atheist before his experience) have made it their life’s work to study the phenomena and teach people about NDE’s. I’m personally really intuitive and get messages all the time that I wouldn’t be able to get if there weren’t communication coming from another realm(s), such as premonitions and information about people that they’ve never told me. We’re all intuitive, but some people are more dialed in than others naturally and others have to work a bit harder to get there. But it’s there for all of us; we’re all getting messages frequently - many of the messages are subtle.
The insight I’ve gained from the NDE accounts is what I’ve always known in my heart and soul to be true and was reminded of this truth via these experiences. Each experience is unique to the individual, but many have common themes. And the messages and teachings they bring back align with the message of Jesus as well. Jesus of religion is in many ways different from the actual Jesus. His message was distorted in order for the church to have authority over people. What I believe is that we are all in connection with the higher being known as “God” or whatever you’d like to call it - spirit, light, love, whatever - and that we are all loved by it unconditionally. We come here to learn, grow and have experiences we can’t have in the spiritual realms. There is no hell in the religious sense, but there is darkness. Some of us are here embodying that darkness, others are here to shine light upon it and “fight” it. We all have both light and dark of course, but some have more of one than the other and haven’t mastered their dark sides yet. We’re all just on a journey and each journey has a purpose.
I agree with you that nature/cosmos could also be considered god because god is in everything, including us, so yes, in a sense we are god too. That’s actually what Jesus was trying to teach - that he is “God” but so is everyone. He wanted us to find the God within.

The actual reason why Islam is spreading in the West.
1. Birth rates. The average muslim family in the West has 3 times the children of a Western Family.
2. Birth rates: Every muslim family in the West is commanded, instructed, demanded and encouraged to have more and more children. And since the muslims don't believe in adoption, muslim don't adopt but become birthing factories.
3. Birth rates: muslim immigrants come on humanity visas to the West. And they very quickly learn that the Western government give money for EACH family dependant and then abuse the system by getting more and more children.
While muslims may get angry with this comment, if you are a muslim living in the West, then you know this is true.🤔 🌄❤️🤗🙏👍🌄

I know people working in the social security system and they have seen with their own eyes the record number of muslim births, vs. normal births, the money collected by muslim families in the name of dole and social security money for each dependant. They can't talk about it because immediately, they will be labeled as Islamophobes by the media and the likes of you. The truth is bitter and hurts. Christianity is not a religion; it’s a relationship with Jesus Christ and you grow as a person following the truth of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Believing in the trinity is something some Christians still struggle with today. Read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John before anything else.
