      its all about how you view your authority. i started running construction crews when i was younger and i was a dick. that was the example i had. twenty five years later my outlook has totally changed. you need to have respect, not raise your voice and rationally explain where you are coming from and what you want done. and don't be a dick.

      Sucks man. I'm not a vet but I know a few. I fucking hate the way they got boned. Some physical wounds some physical and mental. Too much sacrifice for too little gain. I'm not a fan of war, but a man that fights a war deserves better.

      In my country we don´t glorify the military nor cops. And as we are a neutral country we are not involved in wars and thus have no vets. The military exists as a street cleaner exist. Necessary but they still do only their job like any other profession.
      But as said, we have a draft here and no army made of volunteers. Of course there are instructors and companies running the base but the mass are drafties who serve their time (six months, I did eight as it was another time).

      @@jamesh2578 Twenty years ago anyone could get stopped by a cop for some minor traffic infraction without getting pulled from their car, handcuffed, thrown in the back of a police car while several LE tear their vehicle apart hoping to find an excuse to arrest them for additional charges.
      You could drive from one coast to the other without having to go through checkpoints and say if you were a citizen of the United States or not.
      You could take a camera and film parts of an area without getting arrested, having your camera confiscated or broken, or even have the police called on you.
      You could be black, Asian, Hispanic or otherwise and have the ability to travel or sightsee unimpeded by other citizens most of the time.
      You could be respected for being a United States Military Veteran and your efforts appreciated.

      Yeah, the only appropriate response to the question, "Can you move to..." is "How *dare* you use your uniform to either coerce or intimidate a citizen into doing anything." The officer sees his role as some sort of peacekeeper, but he needed to be educated that he was being authoritarian regardless of his intentions.

      The way Jeff wrote his sign, he purposely wrote the in small letters as to appear that it says God bless, homeless veteran, making it appear that he is a homeless veteran and that is pan handling, not that he is advocating for homeless veterans.

      Nice to hand back to them . A self addressed postage paid envelope. From a local organization, targetingVeterans. With a flyer explaining the services they offer.
      That organization, could pick up a continuing, contributing member that way.

    As a 20 year retired vet myself, I couldn't agree more with your message. I've heard of a lot of vets that struggle when they get back from war after killing the enemy and wind up homeless. Most people don't realize how taking another life or seeing someone die can mess you up for the rest of your life. Wish there was more we could do to help.

    Message to the officer that spoke with you. Thank you for respecting Jeff’s rights but it is NOT your job to be a “messenger” for the complainant. It is your job to explain to said complainer that Jeff was well within his rights to stand where he was.

The cop did not threaten arrest, he only sought to provide a solution that may have satisfied both sides. You may also call that DE-ESCALATING.

    Excellent video. Good on that Orlando cop too, Funny thing.......I used to live on that lake in 1961-62 on the corner in an old YMCA building. Went to High School and worked a part time job. Rent was $40 a month. The building is still there but renovated and modern looking now. Am a retired corp. officer and live in NY.

    How do you get your content out so fast after creation. It’s amazing. All other channels take days and even weeks to get content out after creation.

      To be fair, some auditors, like j-town press especially, include a lot of body cam video and 911 dispatch audio, meticulously edited into the original upload, so it just takes a significant amount of extra time, necessarily. Whereas Jeff will usually just upload that stuff separately, in an update video, later on when he receives it

    God Bless you for changing the way homeless vets are treated and home the public gives up or has their rights violated on a daily basis! Just spreading the word that law enforcement officers must honor their oath and the rights they swore an oath to protect!

    I've noticed a few times Officers make comments much like this one did. _"Unfortunately_ we can't remove you from the property."
    Would be neat to see you come back with "Well, what's so unfortunate about it?"
