you can do whatever you want. I think that's one of the great things about gamergate compared to the SJW mindset that is stuck between the margins of political correctness. Chan culture tends to be aggressive but if journalists would have provided a fair coverage and not this one sided vitriolic crap gamergate wouldn't even exist right now. Had its development costs broken down by Schafer because most people have no idea at all what is considered a good salary for a software engineer in San Fran to make them want to stay with the dev team. That's before you consider commissioned music, voice acting, resource fees (engine, etc.), advertising, translation, porting, and backer rewards. You can find it with a little googling, it's on Schafer's twitter.

Or, when a developer claims they plan to include a feature, you feel like they then owe to the consumer to include that feature no matter what? If you don't want to take a chance that you will get burned, then don't invest or pre-order. If a developer decides they want to develop a game, they absolutely, under no circumstances ever are required to make the game YOU want them to make. Developers make the games they want, consumers buy the games they like. It is fucking basic, and acting like developers should only ever do or say what the "fans" allow them to do is a sense of entitlement that you have no right to feel. In my opinion there is one side (the gamers) that shouldn't have send the deaththreats and another side (the journalists) That see the gaming community like one community while it is countless small community.
Both partys are angry at the other party and are ignoring there own mistakes. (even if they didn't send a deathmessage, they should try to understand where the reaction came from)
In conclusion i think this argument is pointless because both partys are so angry at the other party that they won't admit or see their own mistakes. (the reveal that some journalists sleep with the ones they write about isn't included as being a possitive aspect of the discussion because it was revealed because of the discussion and isn't the main focus of the discussion anymore)
