How Malcolm X and white supremacy informs Palestine and Zionism | Prof. Rudolph Ware | UNAPOLOGETIC

  • “You (the coloniser) must punish them (the colonised) with a scale of violence that mocks the resistance”
Professor Rudolph Ware, also known as Butchware on social media, speaks about his upbringing and how reading the autobiography of Malcolm X inspired him.
He shares his thoughts on how he believes Malcolm X would have responded to the 7 October attacks, the important legacy and “moral obligation” to resist colonialism and how that applies to Palestinians.
Professor Ware explains how ‘exemplary violence’ was used to dehumanise slaves and how it is being applied by Israel in Palestine right now, while “liberal” media and “liberal” powers provide cover.
He also speaks about white supremacy. He criticises people who are platforming Candace Owens on Palestine as “hurtful” to the black community and damaging to fostering true solidarity. He pulls no punches. Shaun King, LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, Trevor Noah and the “crocodile tears” that are used to justify the spilling of the blood of brown and black people all come under the microscope.

@@jonathanlandis6954 the point is that, Dr Finkelstein won't be around much longer, even though the problem is far from over. Also, his age means that he can't do as much in physically, terms of interviews, debates etc all by himself, so when these "Young ones" speak up, we should also give them the platform we give Dr Finkelstein.

@@jullietmburu9672 I entirely agree, and I agree wholeheartedly that Dr. Ware is a worthy candidate for greater exposure! (Although it sounds like he was quite busy the last few months fighting the >Zionist donors who tried to get him fired at UCSB where he teaches.
But remember, Dr. Finkelstein was virtually nowhere to be seen before Oct. 7th. I have been following his trajectory since the despicable Alan Dershowitz, with the aid of his accomplices, ensured that Dr. Finkelstein didn't receive tenure at DePaul University in +/- 2007. But most people only became aware of him over the last 7 months as, other than an annual interview on Democracy Now!, he was barely present on alternative media previously.. So it's not as if he has been saturating the airwaves for years on end.
From time to time he says he's tired (he does another one of his hour-long podcast interviews practically every other day…so it's understandable!), but he'll be around for quite a while longer! (Remember, Noam Chomsky is almost 25 years older than he is!)
      In Solidarity!

"The Palestinian struggle is not just a cry for justice. It’s a blistering battle for the most fundamental human rights that every living soul on this planet should inherit by birthright. It’s an unyielding resistance against the oppressive, suffocating grip of occupation and the callous denial of the most basic human dignity ... The battle for justice in Palestine is not merely a political struggle. It's an elemental moral battle ... If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing. I implore every person of conscience, regardless of their origins or beliefs, to stand steadfast with the Palestinian people in their unwavering quest for justice."

As a white Englishman, as a cockney who has been the subject of class suppression all my life, I have to express my view that what Professor Ware is saying is about the path of sanity to a peaceful future. I would just say that whilst I agree that black people "know this story" there are white people who also know the story just as there are Jews protesting against Zionism. All I am trying to say is that this is about those of us who respect humanity and those of us who do not. It has nothing to do with skin colour, religion, culture or passport; it has everything to do with the human experience inside all of us. There are those against us and we need to make sure we stand together against them.

World domination and control, and all that comes with that, emanates from a specific part of the world. It has done so for 500 years and counting. If it is within all of us to be this way, why aren't others engaging in it? "We" the global South, just want to be left alone. World domination is not out bag.

This is a testament of the western society, and so-called western "values". Its exposing the ruling class as being very classist and racist (supported by a huge voting majority).
      Who keeps them there??
The people waging these massacres (uS, isr, uk, Ger.. leaders) have been in power in their respective countries for decades, and their violent policies have been gaining favour for many years. They keep on being voted back - even after they go against their own people. Unless its through voodoo, the same "ordinary" citizens chose these war mongers.
They are getting away with calling Islam "violent" yet Christianity has done far far much worse.
Look at how differently Ukr. refugees/immigrants are being treated from "other" refugees. Look at how the media empire has treated the wars waged against brown & muslims.. as if they deserve to die.

I think there you have the answer. That's what it is called, and for all the reasons he laid out here.
I'm not exactly having much luck with the people I've been trying to organize with, in a small Sundown Town in Wisconsin.
We can do Murual Aid, to a point, and it's important.
But...the limit is there as a barrier for all who have liberal comfort they want to save...status quo comes back to prevent Revolutionary praxis.
We're a homeless couple, they won't even support us as actual equals to do just basic solid ideas to get things right for once.
Whatever they can't do, my partner & I will carry on regardless.
Anti-racism is anti-colonial is anti-imperial and nothing else is better than to end this madness now.

Excellent! Brother Bilal, Articulated well, the inevitable victory of the resistance against imperialism.
A few points for him to consider
BLM is a liberal organization and not an anti- imperialist organization .
South Africa was not liberated from Apartheid due to student protests. It was through arm struggle and would have continued had it not been for military assistance to Azania from Cuba at Cuito Cuanavale.
Many students protest have a narrative of ceasefire when the objective should be to assist Hamas and the resistance like USA did for Ukraine

It's telling that at the heart of white supremacist empire, in the British Isles, you would be arrested as a terrorist for singing Irish resistance songs until very recently. The Scottish and Irish resistance songs hold the history of those people, and they have a strong history of resistance. English resistance songs have been all but lost. The English have lost their tradition of resistance. The US tradition is to take the art of resistance and turns it into commercialised pieces of social engineering.
"the stories that we tell create our reality"
Always, the stories we are encouraged to consume by empire are engineered toward atomisation: gangster rap, isolating sexual practices, and ultimately battle cries to praise the oppressor and fight those designated as the problem 'other'.

Extraordinary! I am filled with hope based on informed history that Proff Rudolph Ware put forth here. I had knowledge of bits and pieces of different world events related to white supremacy, but the Proff wove it all together in a seamless way and helped us see the pattern that runs through it all. Thank you for having Proff Ware here!

Fascinating! Informative & humbling, too. I despise REAL antisem1tis-um & have ridiculous amounts of receipts of my reverence for the religion, but the crash course in Zio-niz-um since 10/7 has really reawakened a dormant revolutionary spirit in me & changed my mind on 🇮🇱since I knew NOTHING but the passive Hasbara talking points the 🇺🇸feeds us about it b4. The “Manufacturing Consent” aspect of the “systematic raype”/“screams w/o words” NYT story was the final nail in the coffin of my support for 🇮🇱, which was hanging by a string by then anyway. I fell for the be-head-ed baby stuff ~10/8, but by the time that post-Xmas propaganda piece came out, the desperate attempt to rile us up over violation of 🇮🇱 wyt women was SO overtly from the Jim Crow lynching type of playbook, I was done. They’re grasping at straws w/their destroyed Hasbara PR, but the body count continues to rise & the degree of atrocities keeps getting EVEN worse & making my jaw drop EVEN further to the floor. Mass grave of medical workers targeted, tortured & bur-ed alive!!!!????? What in the sadistic F???? Enough’s enough. 15K children (+ stillborns & miscarriages) vs. 🇮🇱’s 1,200 💀total. The “self-defense” pretext is laughable at this point. But tragic….As is the pretext of pretending to give a F-ck about the remaining 🇮🇱hostages & “not stopping til we fully eradicate hUM-moss” (aka NEVER). Gen-oh-syde.

Palestine is an area of more than 27 thousand square kilometers and is on the borders of Egypt and Jordan, which historically is part of Palestine and the people of Jordan, more than 70 percent of whom are of Palestinian origin, but Britain made them a state and brought agents to the Jordanian ruling dynasty in order to rule Jordan and protect the occupation from the Jordanian-Palestinian people Palestine Its capital, Jerusalem, is the land of the Palestinian people for tens of thousands of years. It is the cradle of Christianity and Judaism, and it is the third holiest place for us Muslims. It is a land where most of God’s prophets lived, were born, and died. It is the holy and blessed land and the land of the Palestinian and Arab people. Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived there for thousands of years as neighbors and brothers before the Zionists occupied our land. Britain brought them in the Balfour Declaration to occupy our land. Those who committed the Holocaust against the Jews were the Germans and the West, not me.☝️🇵🇸💚🙌

-The speaker draws on their own experience as a professor to highlight the generational shift in students' awareness and engagement with issues of capitalism, racism, and Palestine.
-They argue that the current student protests represent a fundamental challenge to the status quo, and that it is the responsibility of older generations to support and provide cover for these revolutionary movements.
01:36:57 🔥 The undeniable reality of the Palestinian genocide
-The speaker asserts that the situation in Palestine represents a naked genocide, which is well-documented and recorded for the world to see.
-They argue that those who still try to deny or downplay the reality of the genocide are simply refusing to accept the inevitable collapse of the Zionist project.
01:37:12 🤔 Reflecting on the media's double standard and the potential for repetition
-The speaker acknowledges the initial hurt and outrage over the media's biased coverage of the events in Palestine, drawing parallels to the coverage of the Iraq War.
-They question whether the current shift in awareness and narrative will lead to lasting change, or if a cycle of media obfuscation and public amnesia will repeat itself.
01:39:16 🔮 The inevitability of the collapse of empires
-The speaker emphasizes the Quranic teaching that all empires eventually fall, drawing on the example of historical ruins to illustrate the transient nature of temporal power.
-They argue that the key is to maintain the belief that freedom is possible and inevitable, rather than succumbing to the narrative that the empire is undefeatable.
01:43:57 💪 The resilience and inevitability of the Palestinian struggle
-The speaker asserts that the Zionists have already lost, as they have lost control of the narrative, and the entire world is against them.
-They emphasize that the Palestinians' mere existence and refusal to give up is their most powerful weapon, and that the collapse of the Zionist project is inevitable if the international community withdraws its support.
01:46:17 ❓ The fate of the United States and the role of the oppressed
-The speaker suggests that the doom of the United States, like any empire founded in bloodshed, was always inevitable.
-They posit that the only reason the country still stands is due to the prayers and resilience of the speaker's enslaved ancestors, and that the liberation of the oppressed will be the key to the empire's downfall.

Title: Moral Arguments for Palestinian Resistance from an Islamic Perspective
The question of armed resistance against oppression is a complex one with moral and religious considerations that Islamic scholars have grappled with throughout history. Professor Rudolph Ware draws upon the teachings of these scholars to provide a nuanced perspective on this issue, highlighting the importance of context and the power dynamics at play.
One key example he references is the Battle of Omdurman in 1898, where:
      - Sudanese forces led by Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi suffered staggering casualties of 20,000
      - Between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM alone, 12,000 Sudanese were killed
      - In contrast, the British colonial forces lost only a few dozen
In such circumstances, where the inequality of force is so extreme, scholars like Ahmed Bamba argued that armed resistance could be counterproductive and therefore not morally justifiable.
However, the Islamic tradition also recognizes that oppressed people have a responsibility to resist and fight for their freedom, as long as they have the capacity to do so effectively. Other scholars, such as Abdelkader in Algeria in the 1830s, recognized the obligation to resist colonial occupation, even through armed struggle, when the circumstances permitted it.
Professor Ware argues that the October 2021 uprising in Palestine has been a pivotal moment in this regard. Through their armed resistance:
      - Palestinians have managed to undo 70 years of Zionist propaganda in just six months
      - The uprising has laid bare the true nature of Zionism as a project of settler colonialism, imperialism, and white supremacy
      - This collapse of the Zionist narrative after 75 years of deception is significant
With the reality of the situation now apparent to the world, the moral arguments in favor of resistance, even armed resistance, gain greater validity and urgency within the Islamic tradition's framework of just war theory. The removal of the veil of deception that had been used to justify and perpetuate the oppression of Palestinians lends moral weight to their struggle for freedom.

Yes, I hope this is a “last gasp” of US Imperialism. Within 24-hours of October 7th, I knew in my heart, the Palestinians were going to be destroyed. I was horrified and raised my voice in my vegan sphere. I also could not believe this group of compassionate people voiced support for what was being done in Gaza while with the next breath claiming love for all sentient beings. I am still in shock by the inability of my group to see the same dehumanizing comments used to support the slaughter & torture of animals being used against our brothers & sisters in Palestine. 😔
