  • I know I usually try to stay upbeat and happy throughout all of my videos but lately, this has been chewing away at me. After learning about the lymphatic system, shadowing an oncologist, and September being Cancer awareness month for Leukemia and Lymphoma, I just needed to get this out of my chest.
Here is part 1 of my cancer story. This video is where I talk about my symptoms and how I was diagnosed with lymphoma. Make sure to watch the whole video to get all of the details and share this video to someone who might find it helpful! Peace!

Good for you to open up because as a medical student you will see a lot of rough, rough stuff. I am a P.A and survived a stage III/IV NHL, so I obviousely have a very different view of cancer/cancer patients and deal with them differently too. I am very intuned to their feelings and their "Angst" in the mills of a hospital. Make that your advantage over others...and you will notice how this helps you, becoming a very special doctor in the future. It's humbling yet tremendously empowering to open up! Good luck in med school!
