The Sylvanas in the Legion and BFA cinematics seem like a character we can actually get behind and then in the actual game they go the goofiest directions.
BFA cinematic promising you that Sylvanas, Saurfang, etc are all on the same side united against their enemy. The game doesn't even launch and the pre-patch is already re-writing history. That was the problem with the entire expansions story honestly. The azerite traits, essences, corruption, and endless mandatory chores that made making an alt impossible doesn't help much either. 5:55 ish. I was a Panda baby in WoW and I remember people HATED Cata with a passion. I join back years later and suddenly Cata is the best thing since sliced bread. Wtf?
In my opinion, BFA was fun and boring at the same time. Azerite was kind of a dumb method where you choose passive traits that can sometimes be good. The lore and events of BFA was fun to play through. They didnt make diverse class sets however like previous expansions, and instead just made the same looking set different armor types. Introducing the Zandalari even though we caught a glimpse in MoP, was pretty fun and there was a raid of it. The kul tirans were also fun as they show why Jaina was banned, how they can repair boralus and have peace. Warfronts was a pretty fun process, you got to fight some iconic characters from your faction as well as have fun. Essences was a pretty good addition as well as Nazjatar and Mechagon. however, After every expansion you realize its the same process. You go into a new land or event with a topic of a new villain, then do dungeons and they introduce new features and bosses every patch. then theres the ending and that one period where everyone is broken in PvP. Ny-Alotha was a pretty fun raid as you got to fight N zoth, but the point still stands. Vanilla to mists of pandaria was good, but WoW kinda got boring for me. I quit in Shadowlands because it was basically bringing back WOTLK just in a different world, sure bringing back Arthas and other raid bosses are better, but they did that in legion with Illidan and BFA with saurfang and others.
We wanted this a war expansion where both factions could be proud. What we got was a worse version of MoP. Alliance being stupid good and Horde being stupid bad.
@@kronniichiwa9909 Kinda shows how shallow the writing is that the alliance are simply "the good guys." The idea of so many races having leaders that are that forgiving is nonsense, especially in a world with perpetual war and conflict.

@@Dragonking1984 Idk about you but I was sad leaving TBC, Wrath, Cata, Mists, and Legion because they were all really fun. Only ones I was ready to gtfo were WoD and BfA.
@@Dragonking1984 MoP only got so much hate because people went "lol pandas" and didn't appreciate how great it was. Best class design to date by a mile. WoD also had amazing content, but there was just SO little of it that it was bad. I think BfA had SOME good things, like BoD and some cosmetics, but overall I had a very poor experience with it.
WoD was good. They just removed an entire raid tier and made people live in Tanaan Jungle for a year straight. If they had actually stayed doing WoD it would have been salvaged and been remembered fondly.
The problem was that, outside of the raids, there was virtually NOTHING to do. We didn't have world quests yet, and dungeons stopped at heroic and were done the second you started raiding and getting better gear there. You didn't have as much of an incentive to go out to collect herbs or ores because your Garrison had both. Sure, there were some reps you could farm if you want, but most of them before Tanaan ones were primarily done by murdering hundreds of mobs for rep(and I did max out the Arakkoa Outcasts for the Talon King/Queen title, but that was mercilessly grinding mobs in one specific area of Spires of Arak for 3 hours straight).
I thought of a new allied race idea, when you first start the Bastion story line they test if you are ready to Ascend. So if you defeat him, that race you're playing ascends, in the allied race tab there will be a ascended version of your race so you can play it. It would have its profession buff like ascended blacksmithing, alchemy , leatherworking, ect. Also when they hit level 30 or whatever level you need to you will grow wings on your back, kinda like a druid but better, It will be an little flight form but it would be cool, It would have increase of light damage and takes less shadow damage. Also when it has its wing form on the player should glow blue. Thats all I got so far but its a nice thought. Add on for me, but please give me credit.
love how asmon was trying to imply alliance won this fight, when neither side won, the casualty's on both sides were too great and no one came out on top with nothing more.
"this is one of the better things from BFA!" that's kind of the problem. WoW had a nice trend of having a good expansion and then a bad expansion followed with a good expansion...but BFA was just awful...and shadowlands hasn't shown me anything that I want to get into..."Alliance was winning this battle" by walking into the trap that was set. They literally poisoned the area so badly that even if the Alliance could call it a victory, they won the great prize of a dead land, with poison seeping from the ground, and a mountain of corpses...all the while, the Forsaken are still laying siege to Worgenville. Only reason the alliance leadership made it out of there was plot armor Jaina.
The only things that I liked about BfA were raids and the idea of corruption, I absolutely hated how they done it, but the idea of risk-reward mechanic seems fun to me (plus kinda breaking the game was fun too, I mean 70% unbuffed crit boomkin was really enjoyable to play). Azerite armor was trash, daily grind was trash, essences were fucking dogshit, not the abilities themselves, but the need to grind them on each of my fucking characters (huge part of the reason why I never actually played alts, like I used to love in expansions before), visions were dogshit (extremely easy, but extremely frustrating especially with this degenerate “blinding copies” tier 3 affix that half of the time locked me in a tight spot, without any means to escape, because my exit was literally in the wall, and I was staying there malding like crazy), war fronts and expeditions were an absolute joke of an activity and many shitty things on top of that like class balance (sub rogue was dead for pretty much an entire expansion, because of one single Uldir encounter, pvp scaling, etc.
11:15 "he's a paladin, he's wearing plate armour". He's a priest who wears plate armour and fights with a sword. The classes and class restrictions are just a gameplay balance thing. in reality multiclassing can still exist and anyone can wear any armour and use any weapon (they just need training in it). Its entirely possible that a priest to learn how to use plate and swords, they just wouldn't be as good at melee combat as a dedicated warriors.
@@MATCHLESS789 while correct, as in all things that is the rule, but there are exceptions to the rule. Its not too far fetched for 99.9% of priests to not use swords, but that 0.1% are still willing too whilst still being a priest
Still think bfa should have been the horde vs alliance for azerite. Magni crystal magic should have awaken at the end of the expansion to tell us we really done fuck up.
revisionist? more like hindsight. "Remember when we thought BFA was the worst it could get... guess what 12.0 makes BFA look like a great expansion." Doesnt mean BFA wasnt a giant dumpster fire, just means the future expansion will be an even larger dumpster fire. thats not revisionist, thats comparative. you can say a dog turd isnt as bad as a horse turd, doesnt mean the dog turd is no longer a piece of shit.
BFA had so much potential that was wasted. Maybe it is because of servers - but blizz shouldn't hyped us on things that they can't deliver. Think about well made warfronts pvp / islands pvp / events like battles that doesn’t kill a server etc. They shouldn't make a whole expansion based on the concept of H vs A if the server can't properly handle 40vs40, or capitol siege. They made it a grindfest because they couldn't deliver anything cool that involves PvP.
Asmon’s beef with Anduin is so weird. The guy fought a black dragon at five, trained under Magni and his Father, stood up to his blood raged father, opposed Garrosh and lived, and survived Shadowlands. I’d like to see As do better.

the saurfang part was just too OMEGALUL
Not sure what I’d rather have. Cool cinematics or a game I can actually play and enjoy.
"You know it's bad when you daydream about playing Warlords of Draenor"
5:00 i agree with asmon about the little games.. we need to keep those :P
Sylvanas yelling for the Horde sounds so much more badass than priest in big boy armor saying for the Alliance btw
I don't think either were badass.
Literally the last moment before she became Garrosh 2.0
Who cares how it sounds. And I'm happy to fight for the good guys that don't burn down trees and kill innocents.
@@kronniichiwa9909 Kinda shows how shallow the writing is that the alliance are simply "the good guys." The idea of so many races having leaders that are that forgiving is nonsense, especially in a world with perpetual war and conflict.
BFA had SO much potential.... and then they failed miserably on every possible level.... It could have been better then Legion or Wrath... but ended up on WoD level disaster.
BFA was the first expansion since I started in Wrath that I stopped playing.
Asmongold's eyebrows were getting quite a workout! Up Down Up Down Up Down UpDownUpDownUpDownUpDown! HupHupHupHupHup!
match 3, shoe string untie were good .. DROWN ALL THE TURTLES.
See, the Nazjatar puzzles are fun! Nazjatar was fun!
I was so looking forward to warfronts and then it was like hey gather resources. Like dude what have I been doing the whole time just to get to the warfront lol?
Ley Lines puzzle was cool.
Both puzzle world quests were cool.
The most telling thing is that we're celebrating leaving BfA more than we're celebrating entering SL. Not a knock on SL, which is amazing, just shows how shit BfA really was.
Talks about Bejeweled in BFA, "I am totally in favor of this..." .... Posts video about how mad he is about Flappybirds in Shadowlands :p
Asmons right he's a paladin, in the Maw when you run past other players escorting him/jaina and thrall his placeholder NPC is called Stormwind Paladin
also says frostwolf warrior for thrall lol
@@nickstarling2992 yeah, he lost his shaman powers after his fight with garrosh so he's technically a warrior now
Every wow cinematic is cool af
WoD: Music - 11/10; Expansion - 0/10.
3 points for a good leveling experience. Amazing questlines, that's about it.
BFA : Cinematic 100/10, Expansion - 0/10
anduin just said "Imma re-roll mid fight"
I agree with Mccool
11:15 "he's a paladin, he's wearing plate armour". He's a priest who wears plate armour and fights with a sword. The classes and class restrictions are just a gameplay balance thing. in reality multiclassing can still exist and anyone can wear any armour and use any weapon (they just need training in it). Its entirely possible that a priest to learn how to use plate and swords, they just wouldn't be as good at melee combat as a dedicated warriors.
Priests dont use swords in lore though, because they can't shed blood or some shit.
@@MATCHLESS789 while correct, as in all things that is the rule, but there are exceptions to the rule. Its not too far fetched for 99.9% of priests to not use swords, but that 0.1% are still willing too whilst still being a priest
The Jailor calls him a Paladin.
That feeling when BFA was better than Shadowlands... :(
@Mcconnell agree
honestly tho... i miss BFA already
No you don’t. You just hate shadowlands
These guys fightin' over whether Anduin is a pali or a priest. Bitch he multiclassed.
I wish I could some day write music at the level Blizzard does it.
yea. not gonna lie... id MUCH rather do bejeweled and the totem puzzle from shaman order hall as world quests
I did like the WQ mini games. Just not the one about saving the turtles.
WoD was good. The problem was there was just barely any of it to actually be good.
Azeroth's Blood = Lifestream
