The blood plague was absolutely one of the best things to ever happen in gaming history.
Compared to warlock summons or world bosses ravaging entire major cities, I agree.

On April 1st, 4chan's prank was that you could get infected by interacting with diseased posts. Once infected, your posts would become disease carriers and glow green. Interacting with the "coof" and other anons that day was really fun. I'd like Blizzard to bring back Corrupted Blood just to see how people handle the situation.
You just know sjws would cry that it is insensitive or some bullshit
I'd love to see something like that, but you know as well as I do that some players, if not most, would just get whiny over it.

Players would flood the forums with whine threads until blizzard cancel the event.
Corrupted Blood was lightning in a bottle, it will never happen again. Blizz tried something similar with the WOTLK launch event and everyone hated it.
The zombie event before shadowlands release was awesome, there were patches of parties circled in towns defending from zombies charging on all sides, hunters on roofs killing undead. It was a fun prepatch event.
I can remember the blood plague just a little bit, I had to have been like 10 or 11 years old when it happened and I was one of the low levels who would go outside and warn people.
If Zack's mom doesn't have a character (or even an alt) called Asmomgold, I give up.

@@disgaealikerasapOG um I cannot remember. But ppl used to drag up elite bosses to the major cities. Just to unleash them. I played a rogue and was on a PvP server. Loved killing ppl outside opposite cities while they were battling each other. Cruel but satisfying.

The Lich King invasions was one of the funniest shit Ive ever seen.
I also remember if Baron Geddon turned a pet into a bomb, you could dismiss the pet and it wouldn't explode until summoned again, so players would wait to resummon the pet until they get back to the crowded AH nuking everyone in the room.

I remember when this happened and unfortunately I was a raiding Hunter... I thought hunters were hated before the plague happened, but wow was I naive!!! This and the opening of Ahn'Qiraj had some serious flaws in their planning. One was hilarious, the other was the opening of Ahn'Qiraj and the RAGE that followed because people felt screwed on that one... Much of the time it seemed like Blizzard was actively trying to infuriate its players with stuff like this and trying to get into Scarlet Monastery as a low level ally, it was a battleground in front of those 2 back doors blocking the SM entrances, meaning it took time to open them and there were ALWAYS horde there!!!
I survived the Scourge Invasion without getting infected once. It helped that I was in an area just off of silverpine forest that no one was going to at the time, but still.
imagine that after dying, your character turns into undead like the duration of a fear stun and then you actualy die

I dont think this Research Was usefull tho. Blizzard probably didnt give them all the data for it and stuff.
I mean how would you know what exactly happened without being there and seeing how it works? How people move from town to town and shit.
@@capitaldcolon1795 The incident attracted the attention of many Epidemiologists because they wanted to study how people would react if a sudden plague occured, i think Blizzard actually gave the data, but i'm not sure. It was actually useful data too, it was used to draw parallels to real life situations. Matpat even made a video about it.

I was watching a video on the corrupted blood in wow, and my step dad walked in, looked at the tv and started to laugh. I asked him "what was so funny, were you in this?" and he responds, "In this? I was a healer during this whole thing!"
Either the snowballs in AV (original) or the lich king event was some of the most fun i had.
I was watching the video on this recently and my whole thought was “bring back the blood plague but don’t announce it, don’t leak it, don’t put it in patch notes, nothing.” Glad we’re on the same page, lol. Maybe they’ll wait a while after COVID is a thing of the past, but still, I wanna experience it! xD
Being a druid during this corrupted blood incident .. the only thing that changed was that i had to keep rejuv up constantly... but that was about it. Life as usual but in skeleton filled towns which was abit creepy o.O

lol i loved the zombie plague event. I was horde and me, a group of horde and alliance zombies made a raid and camped the horde teleporter killing anyone that zoned in. Eventually they put together a raid and after we wiped it a few times they eventually whittled us down and wiped us. I will tell ya what though when ya have about 20 zombies spitting you can heal forever.

The trolls summoned Hakkar to bring about the end of the world, to kill all of the invading humans/elves that stole all their damn land.
I loved the bug, during cata, where dks dot friendlies.
Wasn't there another kind of plague that players introduced to Orgrimmar years ago and that even IRL (if it exists) were actually taking note of the way and how it were passed on to others. This is going MANY years back !

So I have played wow a small amount and completely forgot everything about it but could you technically start another plague by having a warlock summing you out of the raid?
This is from back when people still said Corona. Wasn't scary enough so we had to change it up. Now it sounds like an evil transformer.
Argent Dawn had the Brutallus Burn in 2017. Same thing but 30 seconds.
I think overall players appreciate having something unexpected happen in an otherwise safe area that demands that they try to improvise. Something they can't just look up on the internet for a solution, but actualy have to learn how to deal with themselves through word of mouth and experimentation

man id be careful getting a red bandana, depending on ur area a gang might threaten u. i bought a red sweater and some lady did that to me. luckily she backed off when i mentioned i have mobility issues and i assume noticed by my movements that i wasnt bluffing.

Well find the Curse of the Tides and then break it to where it no longer happens just to those who are in Nazjatar that have claimed a Encrusted coin. If that person approaches another or if they step in a puddle they get infected

they summoned the blood god so that they could get his blessing to make them eventually invulnerable in combat... a long bloody period of cannibalism came shortly there after.

What if Blizzard made an event That gave a certain npc Corona virus for 1 day, and if players interact with those npcs they get a debuff that says "corona virus" but the debuff does nothing but exist. And if players walk near infected people they will too get the debuff, if you survive in game for 24 hours without getting infected you get an achevement. Would be tons of fun and very informative on social distancing.

@@coolness4098 That is sort of the point of achievements, The defention of a achievement is to achieve something harder than normal.
@@robinhansson7230 since there's no repercussions or law, people would just infect everyone, so nobody could get the achievment. It wouldn't be really a "social distancing" more of a "zombie outbreak" where zombies are intelegent and have all the tools you have.
i don't really play this game, but i'm pretty sure all the unobtainable achievements are just things that were discontinued from the game, and people take achievements pretty seriously so i don't think it'd be a good idea

I was a brand new baby player in WotLK. I got into that plague and had NO idea what was going on. I called my adult children who had gotten the game for me and begged them to explain why I was dying all the time. They logged on and got the plague and came to where I was hiding and infected me, got me rezzed and did it again. Yeah, those are my kids......
I seriously don't remember this incident. Terenas US. I don't think it occured on our boring server.
On day one of Shadoowland launch they should have all players log in as being dead.
