A new confrontation is brewing between the state and the Coptic clergy in Egypt.
The country does not recognise civil marriage; a person's marital status is based on how their religion views their relationship.
But the High Court has just ruled that Coptic Christians can re-marry following divorce, something their church forbids.
Al Jazeera's Rawya Rageh reports one how the ruling has sparked outrage in the Coptic community.
