I'd never seen the episode that was devoted specifically to this flight. So I am really glad you uploaded this so the story could be told in detail. Second, thank you for being more careful about the audio. There were multiple recent uploads where the music completely drowned out anyone speaking, including the narrator. This one is actually balanced out really well. Thanks for that, too!

David Burke did this because he was mad that he got fired. His actions were both horrifying and evil. I'm happy the FAA put in new rules so that not another evil person will do something like this again.

Pilot suicide is bad, but this was the worst. RIP to the flight crew and passengers. Why did he take all those people to their deaths? He had no right to do that. Just crazy. Narrator’s voice is clearer and louder this time around. Music volume could be brought down another notch.
I think the bald actor used as the killer on this episode, was also used in the other episode, where the guy brought a piano case on board filled with tools/weapons and was an extra passenger on a Fed Ex flight or something like that. Also, both pilots were injured in that episode, but we're able to detain the attacker, and land the plane.
It doesn't bother me that they reuse the same actors. I was just pointing out that it looked like the same guy. I know there's another episode where one of the Asian actors was in the movie Pixels, who played Pac Man's creator, and another that had a retired WWE referee Jimmy Korderas as one of the Air Traffic Controllers.

So in 2018ish the FAA tested TSA by bringing guns and contraband into airports and they didn’t get most of it through. Including the guns. They got a handgun through TSA at my local airport in Huntsville Alabama. And yes, it is an actual city, not a small regional thing.

Nope, this was before 9/11. After 9/11, 14 years later after this incident they realized they needed to secure the cockpit for any interference like hijacking.

Humans lose consciousness around 5 Gs. Some fighter pilots have survived momentary G force of 9. But SUSTAINED G force above 6 is fatal. Nobody "experiences" 5000 G. They were unconscious and likely dead long before they hit the ground.
Only the moment of impact created these forces but during the way down they experienced much less (the plane supposedly broke the sound barrier just before impact many jets fly with mach 2 aka twice the speed of sound). In other words they could have very well been alive until the second they hit the ground

Fighter pilots wear squeeze suits and are taught how to contract their lower body muscles to deal with the Gs. It is physical exhausting to do it so normally it's only done to gain the advantage in a dog fight. Finally all employers must aways treat everyone with respect even when they are being terminated. Continual diversity DEI and employee management training is necessary at all levels. Discrimination is wrong, DEI/reverse discrimination is also wrong. Equal treatment of everybody is the only proper way to treat others. As I write this, a helicopter and jet collided in Washing DC yesterday and there are indications that DEI might have resulted in inadequate tower staffing resulting in the collision. Time will tell if this is the case but it is a warning that only the best should be doing the job.

And yesterday, hours before the crash happened, I had been watching a video about PSA flight 182 that collided with a Cessna on September 25, 1978.😮 How eery is that ?! I didn't realize that a collision had happened until this morning when I turned on the news and thought that I was having a bad dream. When USAir merged with Pacific Southwest , they kept the PSA name for one of their commuter operations. I was watching another video last week about the history of Piedmont and Allegheny Airlines and the airline that would become USAir, would re-brand their regional affiliates with the names of the airlines that they absorbed; both for trademark reasons and as a way to honor the people who worked for those companies. So when USAirways merged with American, they kept that tradition going. My condolences to all the people who died last night.😢😢🥀💔
