I am not saying the speaker is the reason to buy either, but its great to have. If the op-xy speaker is anything like the op-1 field it is surprisingly good for its size.
Nice! Great to have this info... Another great comparison would be dynamics and soundic qualities... Like load(or sample to cheek the AD) the same sounds on both level matched and do a A/B playback using same patterns with velocity variant, then say do same with LP HP animation,.and it be ace to hear the envelope snappiness (decay) too .. reverb would be another important factor and a quck swing/groove patterns to top it off .. apologies if Im asking allot, but I bet you anything that it will attract volums of attention,,😎🥳 thank you!
Thank you for such nice input!!!! Alright! So I could do that with let’s say a melodic and a percussive track, and do a filter sweep on these layers and compare. The easiest way would probably be to have the same stems playing in both devices, then I match the volumes and record. Well, this looks like fun but it needs a bit of setup! Let’s see if I can do that soon. Thanks a lot again and pls feel free to leave more questions or feedback! 🙌 Cheers
@navedrops ,👊 yep exactly, percussion (Lo MID and HI frequency elements for full spectrum, it be nice to hear the swing on these 🏌️ pick a melodic part that shows stereo image well with wet dry (on/off reverb) identical filter automation with reso to display the charghter /one take with extreme reso to hear how it breaks up, make sure the levels are 100% matched and the filter automation are identical,,✌️ .. once recorded switch the AB playback side by side for the best audible impact.. no pause in-between .. Gracias 💖✨ ,😎
A suggestion for future XY vid would be CPU test.. run multiple busy sequences with different resolutions, with multiple step components (like a ton) ..and see if the unit handles everything smoothly.. doesn't have to be musical . Just pushing the limits to see if any audio or timing interference becomes apparent.. perhaps this is unfair this early on in the OS development but it will literally be a rock solid test ,😎🔊🔊
I think you forgot to turn off saturation on the Move when switching to OP XY. The sound sounded a bit distorted and I didn’t know it was the speakers or the saturation fx from the Move.
You are absolutely right. Thank you for the feedback. I will try it myself and I will let you know at some point. What I can tell you right now is that the OP-XY does not distort even at max volume, which was quite impressive to me. Just to clarify, the Speaker sound does not distort unless your audio is clipping before going to the speaker, then you can only solve the issue by fixing the input signal gain.
Thanks for the comment but have you tried it yourself? I mean, I will be using the headphones most of the time and sometimes a bigger speaker… now, for quick use it’s reeeeeally nice to listen to. I would say it’s like the speakers you have on modern Mac book pros!

It is really good for its size! And the rumble effect is pretty neat as well.

Always nice to have a built in speaker! Wish the mc101 had one...
I mean, even my po33 and my monotron delay has one, so...
@@jaydeepalmer I agree 100%!

All internal speakers suck... your welcome
