The "Flame Bowerbird" has to be my all time favorite. Between it's intricately built and decorated nest, it's subtle wing movements and it's courtship mode eyes, I was just mesmerized watching this amazing footage! The videographer skills were off the charts on this one!
Everytime I watch one of these documentaries with David I am filled with a sense of dread.... he's getting so old... what are we going to do when he leaves us? He's the world's best grandpa!
24.47 the bird actually looks like it's sighing after his lady left when the performance was interrupted...and David perfectly comments sometimes things don't work out 💔 but also 😂
Stunning all of it ! David and the camera work !? Just amazingly good!! We all know the amount of time those cameramen spend waiting watching the applause for them should be deafening !
The orange Bower bird made me so sad lol he did all of that work. And the female was loving it 😍 Then that little A hole of a bird at 24:19 came over like "what's up" and ruined it all 😂 He looked so defeated. He even deep sighed at the end 😂 24:42 lol poor guy.
I felt I'm flying like a bird over amazon. this video has an amazing vibe, releases stress and super relaxing and soothing for the mind. Thanks to the entire crew members behind this video.🌴save nature….🌳
Hi! How are you? Korea/Seoul has entered full-fledged winter since the 29th of last month. Temperatures around minus 10'C and snow are falling all over the country. It's already Friday this week. I hope you have good health and good things today, weekends, and holidays. Thank you very much.
“Thank you for creating this video! The section on how animals adapt to their environment at [6:10] was fascinating. Your video has really helped me understand more about the animal world.”
The thing that always gets me about male birds of paradise and bower birds is that their courtship displays have nothing to do with any genes that would make superior offspring. They're purely artistic and aesthetic, dancing and decorating, which surely can have very little to do with increased ability to survive - unless it enhances the odds of getting a mate, in which case they have ordinary survival genes but extraordinary artistic ones.
I don't think it's correct to assume that nothing genetically beneficial is associated with birds of paradise courtship dances. Many research have pointed out that highly functioning brains are required to perform complex rituals like the dances and those are inherently genetically beneficial
It was okay that you watch a good program. I've been watching shows like this for years, but on PBS. I get a good laugh and a sigh. I hope you will have a great day Mr Robert McCreary. hahahahahaha

Oh, WOW! It was so exciting to see the poor snail trying to escape from being devoured by the 5-kilo Conch… and then the frenzy of the Hermit crabs to “acquire” the “newly vacated” shell of the poor, dead snail… 🥹 They’re all in a rush to beat the tide “that’s coming to flood the plains.” 🥹
