@201081hero Yes indeed, the 1987-93 ITV Schools on Channel 4 was my favourite too! It was a shame when they changed it, but I know it was to do with the fact that Channel 4 became independent of ITV on the 1st of January 1993. Thank you for the posting though-well done!
Actually ITV Schools on Channel Four was finished last term of Summer 1993 in June 1993 it used The Journey and clock edit Just A Minute. From 20th September 1993 Channel Four Schools brands and each different gallery on kids paintings plus 30 minute countdown on every terms are: Autumn, Spring term had 11 galleries including half term also Summer Term 1994 was reduced to five weeks of programming rather than eight weeks of programming.
does anyone know the name of the music which is playing in the gallery segment of this vid? and could they tell me where i can download it from plz? thanx!
Even though I do prefer 1987-93 there is something about this presentation that makes me keep watching again and again, the music for both gallery and countdown is just hypnotic to listen to all these years later even though my thoughts at the time were very different. One question I have: I only remember the picture gallery with a grey picture frame with "4 schools" at the bottom - any idea when it switched from the gold and the "gallery" and "4 schools" text overlay shown here?
Out of interest, do you have the whole of Smoke Busters? I remember watching that in primary school and would love to see it again. Although i'm sure that when I eatched it, the old roto ident appeared before it,

i love 90s channel 4 continuity. freaks me the fuck out.
I could say this is quite a neat package. In my opinion, better than what ITV Schools had. S4C was just as good as this one in a different way.
