I had 2 pairs of Nike Hypervenoms in AG, they were awesome boots. I feel like the Nike Tiempo Legend 9 might go down as a legendary boot as well. Tiempo 9 has that simplicity that the Nike Hypervenom had soft upper, medium lockdown, and comfortable.

Now own two pairs of Vapor 14s (Elite & Pro iterations), one pair of Speedflow .1s, one pair of these exact Hypervenoms, one pair of the new Adidas F50 Battle Pack, one pair of Phantom Vision Elite, etc. Best part is, I buy most of them used and for an absolute steal! Just picked up the Hypervenoms in my size for 90€, so excited!
IMO the hyper venom phinish 2.5 with the updated honey comb upper is one of the greatest boots ever made. Fixed every single issue with this boot and every single issue with the hyper venom 2. Honestly try and get your hands on them
I had a HV Phantom 2.5 mid cut version with honey comb upper and flywire cables. They were thin but way stiffer everywhere and also painful to strike the ball in sometimes. I didn't like them. At the same period I played in a HV Phelon III low cut model that had a very soft upper with a little bit of padding and flywire cables only on the lateral side of the lacing system. Those boots were much more comfortable for me.
These used to be one of the only high end boots i wanted (these and the obra 1s) and i just found a pair of hypervenom phantoms sitting in my local thrift store just sitting there completely intact for like $24😁
If you can find the Neymar Silver colorway with gold tongue get them ! For some reason they made it with a thicker layer of nike skin that doesnt tear as easily as the other colorways. Im 4 seasons in with mine only issue so far was sole seperation at the toes fixed permanantly with a few drops of shoe fix
Nike Hypervenom Phantom/Phinish 2 VERSION 2.0 is the G.O.A.T I’m rocking both right now in AG-Pro and both have pros and cons but they fixed everything that was lacking (durability, lockdown) on the OG Hypervenom.
@@christofferwiig9510 I haven’t found issues with them but I do rotate through about 5-6 different boots at a time to keep my faves in good shape for longer. They will be more durable than the OG for sure as I had a pair of those and they started getting messed up fast lol
Had two of these in ag's and the touch was incredible but I do wish the sole plate adhesive was a little stronger and that the fit was more secure over time. I found that they got loose pretty quickly. Also they didn't last as long, but one thing I miss about nike total 90s/hypervenoms is the width. After the hypervenom 3s they started catering to the mercurial crowd. I actually didn't hate the hypervenom 2's 1.0 version that much, the break in period was just abysmal but once you got through it, it fit like a glove. The flywire versions of the hypervenom 2s are my favorite of all time, mine are still holding strong .. phinish low cut only of course

It’s very possible mate, I wouldn’t be surprised! It’s one of those types of situations you have to be willing to break them if you want to wear them 🤔
I really liked these but I’ve sold all the pairs I had. They’re too fragile so I was always hesitant to wear them lol. The upper is really nice but I actually think as far as synthetics the Vapor IX is better. Feels like a beautifully broken in leather boot without the maintenance 👌🏾

I got the hyper venom 2 but the Nike skin isn’t as soft as the hyper venom 1, a little more rigid but still comfortable. The 1’s felt like cotton in a way if that makes sense

i have a brand new pair of these size 11 was growing heaps and loved the boots but stopped growing at size 10 so never actually got to wear them they are the acc ones with the nike skin, im curious if anyone knows if they are valuable to the right person
Not unless you want them to sit on a shelf in your house - they have absolutely 0 durability and will most likely break in the first 20 minutes of wear time 😂
It’s legendary because it was ruined by Nike bu. The GT is still a step down from the hypervenom 1. They can’t get this boot right until they remake it again with the Nike skin

Greatest boot in terms of touch but they had one major problem. The glue used on these boots did not hold they started to come apart pretty fast.
