You absolutely MUST destroy that bridge so it CANNOT be rebuilt for years to come. It should be Ukraine's number one goal.

That bridge could provide a huge plus to a "tourist" economy on the Crimean Peninsula, from Turkey and other countries in that region. But only after Russia is pretty permanently unable to build and keep "projectable forces" as a national army. That said, with all the hostile neighbors and some no so trustworthy forced partners, they need three times the total forces just to properly defend the territory they have. So, for 500 years, where other kings built castles on their lands to defend them, Russian Tsars to oligarchs have stolen "defensible borders" from their neighbors. Once that tradition is well and truly ended, that bridge would be an economic God send for the beleaguered Ukrainian government , post war. Dropping two or three spans of the railway bridge- which is where all the heavy military shipping gets done- will end the bridges importance, and cost a lot less to fix after.
It seems the reason why Putin had it built was part of his invasion plan, so it has to be completely destroyed, never to return while Russia exists.
NO reason EVER for that bridge, UNLESS, as a Georgian official said two months ago, that Georgia's Abkhazia will one day be on the border with Ukraine.
Yeah and the bad tings is that the EU and US forbid to Ukrainian to use lang ranged missiles om the bridge WHAT THE HELL?? so i dont get it you supply all kinda weapons and you say you can use them here and there if not the suply wil stop so Ukraine is bind on the hands and legs for what they can use the wepaons on, it is beyound me to understand!!!!!!

And the good ting is that the Russians have not take 1 meter of Ukrainian land the last 1,5 year so why are they fighting here? LOL Only Bakhmut but Russia / Wagner lost about 60 000 soldiere for that and now Bakhmut is soon in the hand of Ukraine haha after a couple of weeks!

Ruzzia didn't apply for planning permission, let alone obtain the necessary construction permits for what is clearly a poorly-designed structure, hastily built with sub-standard materials and scant regard for safety regulations. Demolition by the appropriate authorities is the only sensible course of action.
With luck the pillars will eventually crumble into the sea.

Because of lack of airpower and long range missiles Ukraine is fighting with one arm tied behind its back. It is unfair to expect Ukraine not to hit targets in Russia. As general MacArthur said there is no substitute for victory. Glory to Ukraine!

Aside from air defenses and even that depends of which variants were sent, just about everything that the West has sent is 30+ years old. There is no front line Nato weapons in Ukraine.

The M1A1 Abrams have the smaller gun and lack the DU spall liners as well as the current fire control and comms. The US has 3700 M1A1s mothballed in the desert and they’re sending 31 which is nowhere near enough.

The Abrams are complex , the main issue with them is their complexity in terms of keeping them maintained , 31 is probably enough at this point in time . . With other tanks such as Leopard 1's and 2's and Challengers , they can be serviced outside of Ukraine without too many issues if needed .

After the dam is fixed, the Rusoterrorists turned Crimea back into a desert which accounted for almost a quarter of Ukrainian wheat and grain production. Freezing Ukrainians and Europeans out last winter didn’t work so Putin is destroying what’s left of Ukraine’s last source of income, agriculture.

Last month, the House Armed Services Committee included funds to send ATACMS (Long Range missiles) to Ukraine in its draft of the defense budget, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed a bipartisan resolution calling for the United States to “immediately” provide the missiles, so hopefully they are enroute !!

It sounds like ukraine is getting desperate to show its people a reason to continue fighting this brutal war.
I dont see much progress on the battlefield, and there was heartwrenching reports of amputations and horrific injuries suffered on the front lines.
The bridge is... as she suggests symbolism but is not going to affect the outcome of the war.
Things are not going well in the battlefield... but attacking these civilian infrastructure risks alienating western support.
Many i talk to are tired of proving support to ukraine and feel this war is a complete lost cause.

It has involved mass murder, rape, torture, beheading, castration and deliberate attacks on civilian housing and hospitals. As regards bombing bridges, these are clear military targets. They are used to re-supply Russian invaders with more ammunition as well as allowing tanks etc to invade Ukraine. If you are worried about infrastructure, you need to consider thr deliberate flying of missiles into apartment blocks, shopping centres, even children playgrounds. You also need to consider the 700,000 Ukranian babies and children who have been kidnapped. I assume you are not blind and deaf. Please wake up.

Did you know that the US is a signatory of the Budapest memorandum who made assurances to Ukraine that they would come to their defense if they were to ever to be attacked for giving up their nukes? The US and UK dropped the ball in 2014 and did nothing as Ukraine was invaded and Crimea and the Donbas region were illegally annexed in clear violation of the Budapest memorandum which Russia signed.

Happy Birthday to you. Logistically the bridge is of obviously a tie back to the Russian plan to annex the peninsula, and as such should be eliminated. Drone boats, and the underpinnings will be a different approach, darkness helps. Crimea should never have been allowed to fall into the hands of Russians. Underwater demolition SCUBA drivers can take out a few supports here and there.
