Non musician editors (even on music videos 🤔) think they can use any shot of guitar playing against the soundtrack... tell them to keep it simple! As in your guitar of the day videos.
I wish that sunburst was a little brighter. When you look at the vintage (and custom shop) examples, it fades from a pretty bright yellow to a dark brown/black. These new Junior's go from light brown to black.
Phil Richter agreed. That’s the only little suggestion I had and that’s great for Gibson. I’m excited about Gibson again. Mark was training for this job all his life.

But again keep up the good work and my only complaint is you don't do enough as far as interviews and just segments of your own. Gibson needs to add a neck pickup to the Les Paul Jr and call it *The Killer,* It seems to be the new brit fad these days, adding an ES 335 neck humbucker to the neck position on the flat body Les Paul Jr ... what a wild machine the Junior becomes! A cross between an early SG and Les Paul custom, only "Slappy, Twangish or Chunky-ish", very hard to explain the sound, but holy smokes what a wild sound it has!
if your guitar isn't worth a lot or you didn't pay a lot for it, think seriously about adding the pickup? Your guitar will be a Monster Machine and worth much more money, I had mine done a few months ago and now I can't keep my hands off of it! The guitar shop that did the work thought I was nuts, till they heard it play!

Around 28 seconds in did you notice? Why is there such a big gap between the big E and the edge of the fingerboard and a far smaller gap between the small e and the edge of the fingerboard? Shouldn't they be equal? And why has Gibson never made a Lonesome Dave Peverett edition? Questions......I need ANSWERS! lol
It must have cost Gibson a whole fifty cents more to put Sprague Orange Drop capacitors in them along with CTS audio taper pots. Yet another stroke of marketing ingenuity by Gibson to raise the price by 30%. :-)
@@crazyuncleduke8012 dude though the juniors are cheap again! Up in Canada they're only $800. They went up to $1100 a few years back. I've always wanted a junior!
Mark, I just watched the whole series of videos nice work by everyone. I think you guys knocked it out of the park. Still a little expensive, but quality is never cheap. Now come up with a buy in program so smaller music stores like ours can bring the Gibson name back to our customers and not just offer Epiphone.
@@jordanpratt3821 Well it’s been a while! Lacquer checked (slightly) and all but I love it. Only just considering changing the P90 out for a hotter one but overall a solid guitar, if a little pricey. Green Day is my favourite band so you can guess why I was so excited about them releasing a normal Junior without the weird robo shit, weird picture and weird script on the headstock 🤣

2018 Gibson made a billy joe armstrong les paul jr . It came with a 57 humbucker. Most jr. Dont come with a humbucker. I switched that out with a 498t gold coverd pickup. Put grover imperial tuners gold, resomax adjustable bridge and emerson electronics in it. Shadow kill pot on tone control. You should consider building a more futuristic jr long with the original classic jr. Wish you could see mine its beautiful and is a monster tone machine. Get a hold of me.
Why doesn't Gibson (and Epiphone) have as standard the LP double cut single dog ear P90 pick up version as standard? I am absolutely they would sell brilliantly.
Who makes the machine heads? Kluson? I would have put 3 in a rows not the single vintage tuners. That’s what they put on the custom shop as far as I remember.
One thing I don’t like with Gibson right now is they are limiting there Color’s unless you go to the customs shop I shouldn’t have to pay 4K for tv yellow les paul jr I would love to have the classic Color’s back also please bring the JR double cutaway back to the line one of my favourite guitars and again I have to go to the customs shop to buy something that use to be a entry level guitar. I have one custom shop and most people can’t afford multiple custom shop guitars I would really like to see these added to the line up.
It’s the perfect rock and roll guitar. I don’t know why, but that one pickup just sounds better to me than multiple pickup guitars. Maybe the pickup that’s off steals some of the signal. It’s a magnet that’s close to another magnet. Whatever, I’m happy Gibson is going back to what made them great.
gibson guitar are the best! but I have disability problems. I don't remember the stairs but I play very well! you can make me a keyboard that illuminates the nuts according to the scale you can set first!
always liked Jrs but it baffles me that these wrap bridges are still being made. If you go heavier than 10 gauge or tune below standard you can't intonate it.
Please can you put out a les Paul jr double cut in tv yellow with a tort guard in this range! Not the tribute double cut the traditional one! You’ll sell a million! Promise!
