My family bought a real piano so I decided to learn this. Every 2 days, I just watch this video to learn some parts. So far it's been 6 days and I'm already 2:30 in. I'm taking my time :]

Almost six years on and this is still the best tutorial for this song, I scoured TH-cam for ages before I came across this. Finally learned this part after a few toilsome days, which means sometime in two weeks I should have the whole thing sorted. Thanks for a great tutorial!
Look at you stride with that left hand! And I love how the bass note strikes on the upbeat leading into the next chord! Thanks for teaching us how to play this song! I have the sheet music but I haven't been patient enough to tackle it yet.

Im looking to buy at least a 76 key YAMAHA .. get a real keyboard .. can't be all the issues, can it?

Does anyone have any tips for combining the left hand and the right hand together? I’ve figured out that the left hand = 2 notes/chords on the right hand but I still can’t seem to get it right? 😅

Christine Laughlin yeah the part at 6:23 was more easier to do for me haha. My mum promised me a full keyboard next month so until then i gotta wait. May i ask what kind of piano u have? and does it have that pedal thing? lol
It is a very difficult song! Be patient with yourself :) Go really slowly. Took me a couple days to get it down, but it took me a long time to perfect it to the point where it was seamless. You can do it! :D

Why is it that all of these versions being taught in videos seem considerably more difficult than the way Randy Newman plays it?
i started learning this but my keyboard don't have that lower B haha, need an 88 key piano! fun tutorial btw =D
