bending the vinyl is genius. no tripping hazard like with nosings and its sleeker too. and you dont have to source nosings it can be done with any vinyl floor.
Demo of stairs: a few hrs. Mounting upper newel post 3 days😂 Making custom stairs treads 3.5 years😅 FANTASTICALLY done brother!! Blessings Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
When you eventually sell this place the new owners are going to appreciate all the upgrades and improvements in layout. Makes for a more functional home. Great work Liam.
Goodbye pink and wallpaper. Hello alabaster paint. The area doesn't look as closed in. You did a great job on the treads and risers and of course the banisters and ballisters and the floor in the immediate area. Your house is going to be a show piece when you and Sebastian are all finished. Enjoy the ride!
Hey Liam I’ve been fallowing your bathroom renovations and now your new home Reno vids for a while now, and as a contractor myself I have to say that the work that you and Sebastian do is absolutely amazing! I love your how you did your steps with that flooring! Your attention to detail is top tier. I would like to give you a heads up on one thing, though, the hand railing you installed on your neighboring wall code specifies that on each end of it there needs to be a return into the wall so that when people go past it clothing doesn’t get caught on it. If and when you ever go to sell your house, an inspector might make you change that. Keep doing the amazing work you do!
Bending the LVP looks so much better than the typical nosing that most people use. Much easier to clean and maintain too. Your attention to detail is on point as usual. Can't wait for the next video!! Hit that LIKE button and SUBSCRIBE if you havn't already!!!
Great job man, they look really good, and you did a good job on the railings! I've done LVP stair treads this way twice and have been very happy with the results. If anyone is thinking of doing this, there are a ton of youtube vids on how to do it. In my experience I had better luck making small kerfs instead of hogging out a large section of the underlayment as it made for a smoother bend with less cracking. For a rounded nose tread i made 11 kerfs and 4 for a square nose like yours, (2 kerfs at each bend). I've found that the table saw is the easiest way to make the kerfs. I used the router the first time and it took a lot longer. I set up a jig exactly like you did. using a blank stair tread. If you make the bottom return you can just clamp the tread around the blank and you don't have to clamp it down like you did. It takes a couple test pieces to get the kerfs in the right place, so save your off cuts. Again, great job and thanks for the video!
Looks amazing! These videos about your house have been wonderful. I remember times in past videos where you’d mention hoping to have your own home, and I’m so happy for you!
The floors and stairs turned out great. Love how you chose to bend the vinyl instead of having a nosing. Sometimes they can be bulky and ugly. One thing I learned when putting vinyl on stairs is remove the padding because in my case for some reason the pl premium didn’t want to bond with the underpayment padding on the planks. Once I removed it, it was fine. Great job keep up the good work!
Very nice. I just refinished our red oak stair treads, rails, new wrought iron balusters and white risers/trim last year. It took me 3 months between work and kids. All hand sanded…sore arms, but totally worth it. Your place looks great and shout out to your sister (I think?) for styling your place.
Yes!! More progress 🎉🎉 Thank goodness you got rid of that horrible pink paint, what were they thinking? 🤔 Im a huge fan of the wooden floors throughout the house it really makes a huge difference. Well done mate and i cant wait for the next update video. 👍
Trust me, age has nothing to do with slipping on that kind of flooring. If you walk around in socks, age won't save you. Otherwise, this looks amazing.
Dang! That turned out great! I installed LVP on my basement stairs three years ago and the style I chose had a matching bull nose piece. I liked the way you did it. Something I might consider the next time I do a staircase in LVP. Thanks for the video.
Congratulations! Great work, inspiring. More importantly, if I endup taking the project, I have someone to point the finger to if something doesn't go as planned 😂.
Double nuts temporarily threaded onto the top thread of the stair post stud would have made that easier to install then you could have used a socket or wrench instead of the channel locks.
How long did it take you to get comfortable with mudding? I would love to add some sound proofing to my master bedroom by using 5/8 drywall and Rockwool. Drywall install seems straightforward but mudding sounds like a pain! Your home reno is looking nice!
Well nowadays Sebastian does all the mudding so I don’t have to worry about it but I don’t think it’s something particularly hard to do, more so hard to master. You can always fix a bad mud job with more coats and sanding so it’s pretty forgiving just a pain to do

Ugh...who chooses bright pink as a hallway color? Absolutely awful color choices before. You did a good job updating and making the area more neutral and appropriate.
@@WorkinwithWolkon Installing a wooden subfloor can make future replacements easier. If you glue the vinyl directly to the leveler layer, it can be a hassle to remove the adhesive later on. A wooden subfloor acts as a buffer, making it simpler to replace the vinyl flooring without damaging the underlying surface.
Cool video but that ad read was a bit cringe. It would fit a lot better if you did it in the same voice-over style as the rest of the video. Because you did it so pre-written and prepared, it came off as inauthentic and stood out like a sore thumb.

Beautiful job. There is no way anyone could tell this is your first time. You are making a big difference in this house overall.
It's insane that these are your first stairs. You have a gift. Beautiful work.

Oddly satisfying to see those vinyl planks bend for the stairs. Like always, amazing makeover
I have never seen the vinyl bending trick before, that result is amazing!!
Took some experimenting to get right but I’m very happy with it!
Looks amazing 👏 😊
Everything you do is so beautiful. So thoughtful. So careful.
Thank you so much!!
The opening clip being this INSANE Pepto-Bismol pink is WILD! 🤣It was a good reminder of what WAS.
Thank you as always Joseph!

Fantastic job. I never would have been able to get the vertical ballasted holes done correctly on the angled part.
Great Job Boys! Looking like a nice home!
Another great project completed! thanks for sharing Liam. It came out gorgeous. I like the light wood look that you've got going there.
Wow that’s super impressive for your first go at it. It’s impressive for even a seasoned pro. Looks fantastic.
(4:18) Sebastian with the fresh paint job! 🥳
Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see more of the house!!!
Thanks!!

Yeah the floors look to be beautiful grim reapers
Wow! what a change. So beautiful!
Thank you Marie-Anne! 😊
Dude congrats on the sponsorship! Really great job, this house is gonna look like a million bucks when youre done with it
Thanks!!

I looked away for a moment and when I turned back to see your wallpaper removal method, I was surprised as heck!
Lmao we really just went nuclear on it
NICE! Great Job!
Thank you! Cheers!

realllyyyyyyy, REALY nice!
Beautiful job bro
I have to say, those pink walls did wonder for my heartburn. Who needs Pepto Bismol....😂
For the top banister floor bolt, you could put two nuts on it and tighten them against each other and use those to screw it in
Lovely!!
Building a homemade brake press using 2 by-lumber is next level.
This video went by fast! I think the stairs turned out phenomenal and definitely gave the house a modern modern, upgraded feel.
Great job!!!!!
Thank you so much!
I literally checked your channel yesterday for a new video :-)
Wow I really appreciate that! Hopefully this one was satisfactory:)
OUTSTANDING!!! This turned out awesome. Can I fly you to South Carolina to help me renovate my bathroom and living room?
This looks so cool. What model is your floor?
pepto pink, great🙃

Ya
You have to return the top of that railing into the wall.
Oh well next time
I assume cost, but is there a reason you didn't use white oak to match the floors?
probably just to keep the floor uniform throughout the house
@conradcoolerfiend Well, the floors are "white oak" looking vinyl, so that's why I was wondering why he didn't match it, with white oak.
More so availability
Very limited selection on items here in Canada compared to the states. Often times sourcing stuff can be a real pain
@WorkinwithWolkon oh ok. WO is extremely expensive anyway. And you got that red oak to match beautifully.

That looks a millions bucks mate

vinyl floors go on a wooden surface, not directly on the leveler layer as he did.
This just isn’t even remotely true
