I believe him more than her. She kept lying, and she even mentioned in text about owing pups in the future. Problem was that nothing was listed out in detail. Never do business with family/friends, and if you have to, make sure all details are clear and in writing.
My husband and I own a couple businesses. Everytime we have worked family members they stuck it to us. We even gave one of them multiple tries and we won't ever do it again. I'm talking about my husband's dad, cousin, brother. It just really doesn't matter. People lie and most like to see you do worse then them. Jealousy is ugly.

I think he was just human and not only hurt but also angry. Doesn't make it right but I think his friendship could have been genuine, he just lost his cool under the circumstances.

I agree! Our Siamese ran away Jan 7, 2020, right before the pandemic broke loose. We missed him but he didn't come back. So i started cat shopping, i always wanted a Maine Coon but i didn't want to spend Maine Coon money! So i searched the shelters and rescue organizations for a Maine mix. In the meantime, in May, a friend on a Zoom meeting said a 4 week old kitten was dumped in her driveway. She's allergic so she said "if somebody doesn't come get it, you know what's going to happen". I wanted to hold out for a MC but felt sorry for the fuzzball, we picked her up on a "temporary basis" to re-home her (yeah, right!) We ended up keeping her. We were in love with her and i forgot that i still had several applications in at some rescues. I got a call from one and I found the fluffiest, sweetest, little princess, wannabe Maine Coon mix! Fast forward to Jan 20, 2021 and we get a call from our vet saying someone found our Siamese. Now we have 3 cats, the Siamese is a senior and we committed to a feline lifetime when we got him. So, we are in it for the long haul. I'm so glad i rescued and didn't spend 2-$3000 on a pure bred cat. They bring just as much joy and entertainment as an expensive cat with a fraction of the pricetag! 🐈🐈🐈⬛
They should not allow returns, also, when people started making all these hybrid cats and dogs years back, I knew it would turn out like it is now, the same thing with abortions, they shouldn't allow it!! Now MILLENIALS are throwing newborn babies in garbage dumpsters and killing their babies and putting them in basements and refrigerators/ freezers and moving to other homes like crazy!!! I totally agree there are so many dogs and shelters I don't know why people are still breeding I mean I understand that certain breeds are nice to have but as many dogs as there are in shelters it's pointless to breed half of those dogs that are purebreds end up in the shelter anyway.

A similar situation happened with my uncle. My uncle and one of his employees argued. She sent her husband to "see" my uncle, and my uncle killed her husband in the driveway of his property. That woman lost her husband, and my uncle is currently serving 25 years to life in prison. In hindsight, I am sure that woman wishes she had not sent her husband to defend some foolishness that cost him his life. Just as I am sure my uncle would have made a different decision, as he's lost his livelihood, wife, and freedom.

I feel some people put an obsession on a breed of an animal like they do with a brand of purses, clothes. Go to a shelter, adopt a great dog, in the end if you seek companionship and a loving presence of an animal the breed does not matter.
Ps - If people want a specific dog breed they can contact rescues dedicated to that breed. For example, my coworker got her dog chihuahua rescue and my cousin went to a boxer rescue.

This doesn’t sit right in my soul. I think he should have received more. She clearly lied about the agreement. The lady stated she agreed to give him at least one puppy from a future litter. He should have at least received $1,000 for that and $300 for what she owed him. However, I would have awarded him $3,300 because she acknowledged the agreement in a text. Otherwise she’d need to return the puppy.
He didn't get the 3300 because you cannot make damages based on a possibility in the future with absolutely no proof. Just because people agree to that it doesn't mean that they have a right to it.

Here's MY questions.....first of all, why does she already have possession of the English bulldog, if she (by her OWN ADMISSION) hasn't finished paying for the dog yet. She admits that she owes him a second payment. And HOW EXACTLY is it a good deal, if they say "yes, I will trade dogs and money with you NOW, as well as having the rights to a puppy or half a litter of puppies should the dog ever breed? How do you know she WILL breed? What are you going to do if she DOES breed and only produces ONE healthy puppy? Or an odd number of puppies that CAN'T be split evenly? And honestly, they strike me as VERY shady breeders. Any GOOD breeder would have allowed the potential adopter to come to their home, meet the puppies, meet the parents of the puppies, and produce paperwork on the dogs (if they ARE purebreds) etc.....not just plop a puppy in your lap in a parking lot of some random supermarket and say "here's your dog, pay me the money"

Both of these people make me really angry. This is not the way you breed dogs. To be a responsible breeder you get licensed and you have contracts. And you sign a contract with everyone that purchases one of your pups then if anything happens you will take that dog back, because you will never allow your puppies to end up in a shelter. These people are breeding dogs just to get money and it makes me sick. Mutts should not cost $1,000 or more. These litigants are exactly why there are so many dogs without homes and in need of shelters. Responsible breeding is about continuing the purebred lines and creating stronger healthier dogs it's not about making money. Yes. Purebreds are extremely expensive because bringing a puppy into the world takes a lot of money to do it right and to give them the proper care they need. And if you are practicing responsible breeding your dogs will not live shorter lives or be unhealthy. Contrary to the opinion of the man on the street.

If he indeed has pedigree paperwork (stupid he didn't bring it if he does), a contract is a contract and JM does "rough justice" all the time. These rulings are supposed to be decided by laws and statutes, not personal feelings or beliefs.

A wise woman builds her house! Meaning, all you have to pay this man is $300. Don't send your husband to see this man over a non-issue or irrelevant matter. A similar situation happened with my uncle. My uncle and one of his employees argued. She sent her husband to "see" my uncle, and my uncle killed her husband in the driveway of his property. That woman lost her husband, and my uncle is currently serving 25 years to life in prison. In hindsight, I am sure that woman wishes she had not sent her husband to defend some foolishness that cost him his life. Just as I am sure my uncle would have made a different decision, as he's lost his livelihood, wife, and freedom.

I feel some people put an obsession on a breed of an animal like they do with a brand of purses, clothes. Go to a shelter, adopt a great dog, in the end if you seek companionship and a loving presence of an animal the breed does not matter.

Ps - If people want a specific dog breed they can contact rescues dedicated to that breed. For example, my coworker got her dog chihuahua rescue and my cousin went to a boxer rescue.

This doesn’t sit right in my soul. I think he should have received more. She clearly lied about the agreement. The lady stated she agreed to give him at least one puppy from a future litter. He should have at least received $1,000 for that and $300 for what she owed him. However, I would have awarded him $3,300 because she acknowledged the agreement in a text. Otherwise she’d need to return the puppy.
He didn't get the 3300 because you cannot make damages based on a possibility in the future with absolutely no proof. Just because people agree to that it doesn't mean that they have a right to it.

Here's MY questions.....first of all, why does she already have possession of the English bulldog, if she (by her OWN ADMISSION) hasn't finished paying for the dog yet. She admits that she owes him a second payment. And HOW EXACTLY is it a good deal, if they say "yes, I will trade dogs and money with you NOW, as well as having the rights to a puppy or half a litter of puppies should the dog ever breed? How do you know she WILL breed? What are you going to do if she DOES breed and only produces ONE healthy puppy? Or an odd number of puppies that CAN'T be split evenly? And honestly, they strike me as VERY shady breeders. Any GOOD breeder would have allowed the potential adopter to come to their home, meet the puppies, meet the parents of the puppies, and produce paperwork on the dogs (if they ARE purebreds) etc.....not just plop a puppy in your lap in a parking lot of some random supermarket and say "here's your dog, pay me the money"

Both of these people make me really angry. This is not the way you breed dogs. To be a responsible breeder you get licensed and you have contracts. And you sign a contract with everyone that purchases one of your pups then if anything happens you will take that dog back, because you will never allow your puppies to end up in a shelter. These people are breeding dogs just to get money and it makes me sick. Mutts should not cost $1,000 or more. These litigants are exactly why there are so many dogs without homes and in need of shelters. Responsible breeding is about continuing the purebred lines and creating stronger healthier dogs it's not about making money. Yes. Purebreds are extremely expensive because bringing a puppy into the world takes a lot of money to do it right and to give them the proper care they need. And if you are practicing responsible breeding your dogs will not live shorter lives or be unhealthy. Contrary to the opinion of the man on the street.
This is why I will never breed dogs. I love my almost 1/2 breeds more than a breed dog. People are too hung up on breeds. I just want a dog that loves me. I rescue dogs not breeds.
