- Hey wizards!
Today I'm showing you how to do marley twists on your natural hair. This protective style is super easy to do and only takes two hours...how incredible is that??!!
PS: I ended up with 22 twists in total...just in case you're wondering!
Hope you enjoy the video and see you in the comments! 🫶🏽

Products used
~Shine n Jam Gel (you can do this hairstyle AT LEAST two times with this size) - amzn.to/3PsvHT9
~Rubberbands (best ones I've used so far, they don't break as much) - amzn.to/44ya3kL
~Marley Hair: I used 2 and a half large packs in the color 1B but this one (similar texture to what I used in the video) comes in 6 small packs so it should be enough - amzn.to/3XpMwjC
~Edge Brushes (pack of 5) - amzn.to/3JtsWgr
~Mielle Almond oil (Any oil here is fine but this is what I used to oil the rubberbands so that they don't snag my natural hair) - amzn.to/3CHn3Z4

"You're too close to me Jessica "... 😂😂😂
Exactly 😭😭😭 imma need you to take SEVERAL steps back 🗣️
I literally gasped when she said that cuz my manager Jessica is always so interested in my hair 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏾
Um 2 hours is a flex. Somehow I always end up sitting for 5 or more 😭
Girl, 5 hours????!! 😭😭😭 I don’t know how you do it. You’re a champ!🥲
How come it takes you this long? Do you usually do small twists?
Ok! 😂
Right. Me top. And my hair keeps sticking out.
Lol facts
Lol it takes me 2 hours to part and section alone 😂
Just came here to say thank you for telling us the total number of twists!
I have 52 locs and want to do a Marley twist over them but was wondering how it might look with only 20 something twists and this helped give me a visual! Much love 💜
I am obsessed with this look!!! I’m going to see if I can try this! Also, a tip for the fatigue, I usually watch a movie or listen to music when I have to do my hair for a long time; somehow it helps me! Anyways, I LOVE the hairstyle and I think I’m going to try and attempt it on my own! Tysm for the tutorial!! ❤
This is a really good tip! I’ve been doing it recently and it really does help the time fly by!😄
Good luck attempting this on your hair! I’m sure it’ll turn out FABULOUS!!🫶🏽🫶🏽 I’ve been doing this hairstyle religiously for months with breaks in between and I love it so much 🥰
The "too close to me, Jessica" part had me rolling 😂
Jessica always up in my business 🙄🙄🙄😂
You’re so beautiful! Loved how you styled the twists too 💚
Thank you 💚💚💚
Now this is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank u!🔥
your sense of humor keeps me watching💛. always loved your page and creativity. keep shining. will try these, it wont be 2hours I know for sure😅
Haha as long as they get done, it doesn’t matter how long they take you - they’ll be worth all the time as I’m sure you’ll look 🔥
Thanks for watching and thanks for your kind words 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Too cute. I must give this style a try.
Please do!🫶🏽 I’m sure you’ll look amazing!
Enjoyed every bit of it ❤
🫶🏽🫶🏽
Pray to your Ancestors 💜🙏🏽🙌🏾 Best advice ever🥰 it turned out 😊 beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much 🤗
The style really suits you.
Thank you so much! I’ve been loving this hairstyle 🫶🏽 will you be trying it?
@@FashionWizardry I used to wear something similar in my younger days, my generation wore braids rather than twists. I think I'm a bit to old for it now 😀, I'll just enjoy the style on you.
I hear you but I promise you can rock this and look 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@FashionWizardry I'll leave this for the young women, I enjoyed wearing that style for many years, it's a classic. Always looks great with every new generation that discovers it.
JUST GORGEOUS GIRRRRLLLL❤❤❤
Thank you 🫶🏽
Too cute, love this and you’re funny!!
Thank you!!😊
@@FashionWizardryyou’re welcome ❤
You’re absolutely stunning, I also like your humour 😀❤️
Aw, you’re so lovely. Thank you so much 🫶🏽
Love the friendly vibe
🫶🏽
Needed this rn. Thx ❤
🫶🏽🫶🏽
When she said 'You're too close to me Jessica.' I was like how does she know my name 🤣
🤣🤣
😂
African beauty in its natural habitat ❤❤❤. Humbled to have caught up with you in Nairobi during the YBV celebrations! 😊
It was so, so lovely to meet you and hopefully see you again soon!🫶🏽
Lovely video. Thank you for posting. Can you share how long the style lasted with all the tlc care? ❤
About three weeks, sometimes I can push it to four 😅❤️
You look beautiful!! 🥺😍
Thank you!🫶🏽
How many packs of hair
This gon’ take me 8 hours 😂
“If you’re seeing me Jessica ya too close” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
hey queen, love this style on you. How many partings did you do? excuse me if you already mentioned it in the video.
she did 22
Sorry for commenting like 8 months later but just discovered your channel and i love it ❤. Also 120 dollars for box braids is a deal babes. Thats a steal! Normally its like 300 to 500...😢
Yeah, that was for jumbo box braids - like 8 braids, $120 for that was wild to me 😅
Also, thank you for the love 🥰❤️
4:50 okay I'm feeling attacked rn😂
Lololol sorry 🫣🫣
I love your partings. They are just like mine!😅
We are the imperfect partings twins!😅😅
@@FashionWizardrywell....I just figured out how to cast my phone camera to my laptop so I can see the back of my head! 😂
This is genius haha! I might try it next time. Thanks for sharing 🫶🏽
@@danmeck5978please tell me how you did this! My parts are decent, but this technique would definitely help! Would it work with an IPhone?
Took me 2 hours to do the parts only ahahahah, it’s my first time doing it myself
The parting takes so long 😭😭😭
That’s actually the hardest part lol so I know exactly how you feel!
How did the hairstyle turn out? I hope you like it 🫶🏽
❤
I love your accent
Thank you 🥰❤️
looks so good!! How long does it last you?
I keep them in for about a month, take them out, do wash day and put them back in 😂 so far, so good!
can you start with a braid and then twist? I’ve used rubber bands in the past and i always hated the takedown i feel like it adds additional work 😭
You can definitely start with a braid if that’s easier! I can’t grip braids quite yet so rubber bands are easier for me but whatever you prefer, you do that 🖤
👍
Any alternative for Shine and Jam in Nigeria? Can Ecogel replace?
I tried it with Eco-styler gel and it provided some hold but it wasn’t as great as the shine and jam gel 🥲
Shine and jam is in Nigeria
Can you use brushed out kinky instead of Marley hair ?
Yes, you can - if that’s your preferred braiding hair texture, go for it 🫶🏽
Does leaving to dry helps clear off the whitish residue left off by the gel? That's my worry about gels
Yes, it dries completely clear :)
Alright thanks. I'll try to get the twists first
How many packs did you use?
I used two and a half large packs as the hair I used came in massive packs but I linked similar hair in the description bar which I think comes in six packs which should be enough!🫶🏽
This is coincidental as my sister did passion twists on me like 2 weeks ago
What are the chances??! I hope you love them 🥰🫶🏽
I’ve been loving these twists!
@@FashionWizardry Omg yes I rlly like them, plus I got lots of compliments on them suiting me too!
What length is the hair you used please
I used 24 inch hair 🫶🏽
How much hair did you use
2 & 1/2 large packs :) all the extra info is in the description box ❤️
Are they heavy at all or light and fluffy?
Super, super light - it’s insane. I’ve been re-doing this hairstyle every couple of weeks for FIVE months now. That should tell you how much I love it!!!👀🤌🏽
Dwollas 😂
Exactly 💅🏾👀
My twists start to unravel 😭 idk what I’m doing wrong! I even twist tightly
Are you twisting all the way to the very end? You can also do a three strand braid at the end to stop the twist from unraveling
120$ not bad at all lol
I actually got a quote this past week and my initial $120 was apparently for 10 jumbo knotless braids. I got quoted $450 *(excluding hair)* for the same size of twists I did in this video 🥹🥹🥹
$120 is actually cheap compared to what's I've been getting quoted . Here's it's 250-300
That was for jumbo braids - excluding hair lol
Recently got a quote for about $450 in NY 😭
@@FashionWizardry That’s so crazy. It’s certainly is teaching us to do our own hair, that’s for sure.
Dam why it have to be Jessica?!😭
💀💀💀
Your video is amazing and helpful but Your voice is awful 😖
Then don’t watch my videos lol. No one is forcing you to watch any of them 🤣
I’ll survive without your one view - don’t worry 🥰
Damn someone’s demons are disturbed 🤭
