Love Thunderverbs!!! I used to have 2 200 watters. These days I’m using a 50 watt Thunderverb and an old Rocker 30, both on all the time with an Orange 4x12 each. One cab has greenbacks the other V30s. That’s a sound.
Dual terror was my very first orange amp. Ran it for 6 years. Loved it. I’ve moved onto a Rockerverb MkIII 50. And I’m in love with that as well. Wonderful designs.

My thunderverb 50 is a surprisingly low gain amp. People tend to associate it with metal and whatnot, but it's a classic sounding amp. I love the versatility, I love the footswitchable "attenuator".
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (Fair Use defense, estate of James Brown) make more of these vids. So awesome. Particularly one of the tiny terror prototype. After that, please make another tube rec amp! Ez81 & 2el84 based perhaps. So much magic on tap with tube rec “compression” (and I will bow banish sag from my repertoire of amp speak). And copper on the PCBs. Wow. Orange is the only consumer level purist company going right now. Keep up the great work Mr. E. Long live you.
The Dual Terror is an incredible amp, takes pedals well for any genre Ive found, straight out the box, same valves after years of playing loud and quiet, no faults or issues and built strong for gigs, transport etc..

When John was playing I could only hear it out of the left side of my head phones. But when Ade and John are talking I could hear them with both side of my head phones.
Ive got a dual terror and an orange dual terror and i love them. Classic rock perfection with beautiful sonic definition. ACDC, Led Zepp, Neil Young, Motorhead, its all there. It doesnt do real clean but I have a cheap Fender solidstate combo for that. If I play them both at same time with AYB , Fender set to saturated higain with bit of delay and reverb I can nail Rammstein as well. Very happy I am with no plans to ever change. Adrian am I right that the tiny terror series amplifiers are class A in 7 W mode and class AB in 15 W? That’s what my ear hears. I always preferred the 7 W mode.
I like the old ones I had or80 and a or 120 with rare 6 12 cab they sounded close to Hiwatt this man is a genius I own the Ad30 nails the old orange sound
Replaced some 470R resistors on a Tiny Terror they looked like Wirewound Resistors (White Ceramic Body ) 5 Watt Rated, but inside the ceramic body they were Carbon Film Resistors, both 470 R had failed, normaly a 5W in a ceramic case would be Wirewound Confused.
And I think I see you are using electro harmonix preamp tubes. Check out MULLARD CV4004. It has the sparkly highs of the tung sol and the rich midrange of the JJ all in one package.

HOWEVER, you evil bastards have now enticed me with both the Dual Terror and the Thunderverb(especially the Thunderverb) But back to business. I posed a question months ago about the sonic differences between the PP412 and the Crush 412 and you replied that a video was in the works comparing the two during the summer. Is that ever going to happen?
We are so sorry one we have enticed you with lots of Orange amps! The PPC412 and the Crush 412 was in the works but it has at the moment been put on the video shelf as we have other exciting and informative videos that we are making to release in the coming months. We had every intention of making the film and were very far down the line but other projects took priority, sorry for getting your hopes up.
And several years later. After Ade talked about creating an amp with a choke and valve rectifier we have the OR30. A man of his word there. 🧡🤘🏼🧡

I hear ya. I got the 200 and man it's the best amp. It also murders bass. So glad I got one before they discontinued

I own a Thunderverb 200 and it's a Ferrari. Guitar or bass. The volume that comes out of it is something that needs to be experienced.
