    Hi John, this morning it was a pleasant surprise to find your videos on youtube, I'm an Italian camera trapper and I really liked what I saw. Truly spectacular images. A warm greeting. Tommaso Nuti

      Thanks Alan, If you are getting ghosting it sounds like it is more to do with your shutter speed being a little slow rather than your PIR sensor settings. Try this video for a little more detail on how to set up you PIR sensor: th-cam.com/video/FMeyxnGpKxw/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps.

      @@JohnFormstone hi John it only happens late evening when am photographing the foxes just before dark as I go out about 5pm to set up for the foxes then carry on to do the badgers in dark my setting would normally be aperture priority with a 800 iso and f10 so the camera picks the shutter speed if do Manuel its fine but means I have to mess about again for setting a.p for badgers and I use a nikon 3300

    Hi John, have your camera traps ever been stolen or tampered with? How do you prevent thefts?

    • @JohnFormstone
      @JohnFormstone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, Unfortunately I had all my equipment stolen a year ago. If i can I have my camera housing padlocked with a steel cable around a nearby tree and I always try to camouflague all my equipment as best as i can, but it is always a risk and limits you as to where you can set your gear up.

    Hi John , don't you have problems with water drops due to the cold at night on the uv filter?

    • @JohnFormstone
      @JohnFormstone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Elizabeth, Good question. It can be a problem on occasion and usually happens around daybreak when there is usually a sharp temperature change. I am presently trying out a product intended for car windscreens to try and eliminate it. Hopefully I will let you know soon if it is successful.
