I'm nearly 7 years now without a license for two OWI convictions, the first in 2012, the 2nd in 2015. I feel suicide is my only way out of this nightmare of having to survive with no license. I'm tired of having to worry about getting arrested every damn day for just driving to work. Why can't Secretary of State just forgive people after so much time has passed? I must be eternally punished for my mistakes that caused nobody to be hurt and no damage to property.
THEY Revoked me when I was 32 IM 55 NOW HAD TO RAISE 2 BABYS ALONE THEY R GROWN NOW IT SUCKED FOR THEM WE HAVE NO OTHER FAIMILY to help besides my 80 yr old mother who was certainly a blessing . BY THE WAY THEY TURNED OUT GREAT NO THANKS TO THE STATE

I just drive ever so carefully and limit it primarily to going to and from work. Secretary of State still allows me to plate and register my car and yes, I even have car insurance in my name.
please dont i managed to raise two kids with this prob yes im fkd but can still live to a certain extent please try it took my whole life away though I wont lie you have to deal you can surpass it
I live in Florida now, trying to get off that national list Michigan put me on is impossible. I had glowing references, passed all the drug tests, and everything they asked for, but they told me that people that have only known me for 4 years is not long enough. I travel a lot and live an alternative lifestyle on my boat. I payed everything and did everything they asked, and they just refuse to take me off that list and it's been almost 9 years after just 2 DUIs in 5 years. Florida told me they would give me a license if Michigan took me off the list, but they won't no matter what I do.
The letter requirement is what keeps me from being able to get my license hearing. I pray they eventually get rid of that part of the process, replace it with something else. I don't know many people and nobody wants to take the time to write one for me. It's so stupid that Secretary of State makes it to where you must rely on others to get your license back. It's my mess up, my mistake, I shouldn't have to ask people to write a short novel of a letter for me. I can't get even 1 letter let alone the minimum of 3 which I'm sure really isn't enough. I've had a suspended license since I was 18, got in a car wreck, got some tickets and fines and because I was a stupid and irresponsible, and lacked any sort of foresight I spent my money on drugs and alcohol and cared more about partying than anything else, dark times that was. I have 3 driving on a suspended license, the most recent one was the other day on my way to work, incidentally, my first two we're on my way home from work. I paid all my old fines, all the driver responsibility fees and even the reinstatement fee. They said all I needed was my birth certificate and I could take my test get my permit and take my driving test, even though I had a valid ID and other forms of identification...So I did that, and at this time, it's COVID season so I had to wait another 6 months to get an appointment at the SoS only for them to tell me I need a clearance that I had already brought and showed to them. They told me in wasn't in their system. Until then it was supposed to be in restriction, back and forth to work and the grocery store, doc appointments and what not. I had been stopped by a Michigan State Trooper who after giving me a ride home because my van was stuck in the muddy road, he let me out and also told me my license was restricted. Fast forward to 2 days ago, on my way to work I get stopped for allegedly rolling through a stop sign, pretty sure I didn't because I always come to a complete stop, and there was a bunch of traffic. The officer tells me my license is suspended, it would make count three which could become a felony if they want to take it that far. I've never really thought about consulting an attorney until now because I'm tired of trying to fight this on my own....I did everything they told me to do...everything, and still no closer to getting my license reinstated than I was 7 years ago.
I don't drink or use drugs, though I do smoke pot I have a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge from 16 years ago but I've been charged or convicted, nor have i ever drank and drove, I don't smoke pot and drive either, it's dangerous and stupid.
My suspended has to have a record years. 20 years ago and I moved to another State...all fines paid off. Tried to follow the qualifications. Passed all. The State said my Pshyciatrist filed the wrong form. 20 years and still being denied.

I was charged for a dwi in 2016 in Las Vegas New Mexico my second. at the time I lived in Denver perfect driving record there .I was taking a friend to see his family we stoped and to pay for the ride he bought dinner we agreed he would drive to Roswell so I had a couple drinks and I fell asleep in the pasenger seat. I was awakened in a hospital parking lot talking to too officers that were smoking before we went in .i was checked out nothing broken that's when I was told about an accident totaling my vechel no other traffic involved. the officers said I was alone in the crash no sign of my friend so I'm altemently responsible for my vechel . Went to court paid fines had the asessment. Given probation and the required conditions . I had several small heart attacks and my family brought me to Oklahoma to be taken care of. I'm doing well on social security 100 % disabled with 4 stents, copd, skeletal joint deterioration, and limited mobility in my shoulders. I'm trying to deal with New Mexico to get my license back, did online court for probation violation a couple days ago . they restarted probation for 5 more years with early release with completion of another 48 hrs community service. All the fees dui school and. Reinstatement fees . what options do I have about the interlock, I can barley breath with severe copd . to get the conditions met I need a restricted license I'm in a very rural part of Southeast Ok. 30 plus miles from Any city that can acomadate these court ordered conditions .Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm 42 now so it's been a long time...
