I love this car chase for just that reason! 😂 It's sloppy and seems more realistic because all he sees is the guy he's chasing. It's all petal to the metal. 😂😂 In reality they probably destroyed 10 of them just to get it right.
Now THAT's how you do a car chase scene!!! No green screen, no CGI bullshit. Just on-location and awesome stunts. And it's wide-screen. There's no unnecessary close-ups or shaky-cam. Because there's no need for all of that bells and whistles if you have a GOOD action scene in the first place
Tom Cruise funded about half of the chase scene. It would've ended after he stalled coming out of the tunnel but Tom told them to keep going and cut the production company a check after filming wrapped.

yeah. if you watch the bloopers. they actually tried quite a few times to go over the bumps like the audi did, but the chevelle kept dropping the driveshaft out of the trans. i like that they had to slide it over sideways cause it made for a cooler scene.
I have a 69 Charger RT 440 with a 4 on the floor and I love it to death, but I also have a Crown Vic police interceptor and these cars are monsters! Get a badass unmarked Interceptor and throw a supercharger on it and you won't regret it.

I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would, really good TC acting. Another movie that will surprise people on acting skills is Running Scared with Paul walker, watch it if you haven't.

Most if not all of the time, they do use mock-ups in modern movies. It's much cheaper than buying the real thing at an auction and then smashing it up.

love chases with muscle cars, how the engine roars, so badass. I hate how quiet European cars are, like the Audi in the chase so quiet like if you're in a plane, I don't like the silence, I need to hear the engine.

Question. Why would the guy in the hat help Reacher escape? The police are looking for him and even though he didn't do it the guy doesn't know that, so why help him?
I've actually never seen this movie, but for someone who has, I must be missing something because it just really confuses me how all those strangers in that crowd just wordlessly and unanimously agree not to give him away to the authorities. Is it just a 'no snitches' sort of deal or will I have to watch the movie to understand?
