The second question: Since we could connect the air handling unit with a VRF unit, Is there an inverter air handling unit? or could we build an air handling unit with an inverter fan? If possible, if we turn off some zones in building, does that mean the air handling unit fan will slow down a little? Thank you....
Depending on the application there are AHU's that need to run without stopping. Think about critical systems in Hospitals, Laboratories, Data Centers, etc. The air handler can have a VFD that varies the speed of the fans, but an inverter compressor is normally part of the refrigerant cycle within other types of equipment. Depending on your system, reducing fan speed to match demand is a great way to save energy.
